The restaurant had a nice vibe, came on R&B Girls Dinner night. The caesar salad was good, the chicken was unseasoned but the caesar dressing made up for it. The truffle fires were 10/10. Our server wasn't that great, she kept disappearing. When it was time to pay we waited for like 10 minutes and eventually had to go find her to pay... The wine was pretty weak, like watered down as well.
I enjoyed myself last night. The vibes were on point, fasho fasho. Was able to find street parking right across the street. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was immediately escorted to a table in the patio area near the Dj. The Dj was playing some 90s R&B which was dope cuz I was familiar with every song. My waiter Devon was real cool. He was attentive. Was t really interested in any drinks on their menu. He asked what I liked and I said "Old Fashioned". It was great so I had 2 of them. I also ordered some fries being that I ate prior to coming and just wanted to chill; have a drink while catching some live jazz music. The jazz musician, Joseph, he was dope. He did his thang in that sax. And the Dj, Trey, kept the good music flowing. They work great together as a team. I forget which song it was but immediately I was able to sense that it was one of his favorites to perform to lol. Before leaving Devon gave me a shot of a pomegranate lemon drop which was tasted really good. I also then had the pleasure and opportunity of meeting the owner, Gee. Gee was also they gentleman who greeted me with great energy at the entrance as he escorted me to a table. Great guy indeed. I let him know that I enjoyed myself and I had heard about the cookies lol. I grabbed me a peanut butter cookie which was like $5 but I really loved it. Was upset that I ate it so fast lol. My bill came out to $51 and I left a tip. I figured the drinks were somewhere around $20 or less. The fries were $8. I received great customer service. The prices were exceptional for the location, Hollywood. The ambiance and restaurant were awesome. The parking was free. Overall, this was at great experience and I will definitely be returning.
Hubby and I grabbed brunch today at Mr. T's and had the best time. This place has a great vibe and the service was exceptional. It feels like a little slice of Paris tucked away in weho. I grabbed their burger with a side of fries and my husband ordered their breakfast burrito. The flavors were fantastic and their fries are some of the best I've ever had. I also grabbed their S'mores cookie for dessert. I am looking forward to coming back for dinner in the near future.
This was a cute spot in the neighborhood to grab lunch. The cookies in the pastries case looked good and their lunch menu was limited with food and drink options. We ordered our food and drinks at the counter and chose to sit outside since it was a nice day. I order the Mr. T's Burger medium rare with a side of fries. The bun was soft and the meat was cooked perfectly. The torched cheese was fun to watch. The caramelized onions gave the burger a nice sweetness and the side of fresh tangy greens was nice to eat in between bites to cut the slight greasiness of the burger. The side of fries that came with ketchup was big enough to share. Staff was friendly and answered any questions we had, but other than ordering our food at the counter and having our food dropped off, we didn't receive any additional service besides clearing the table. There was a water station inside for you to grab your own water. From looking at other reviews it looks like they have a different menu options and vibes for dinner so would love to come back to see how that is.
Solid French-Californian fusion restaurant on Melrose. Came with some friends on a Friday night and our experience here was decent. For food, I got the Mr. T Burger and it was pretty good. I got the burger at medium rare which the server recommended and it was juicy and meaty. The toppings were great too and the presentation with the cheese flambé was fun. The cheese and aioli were savory and the caramelized onions provided a nice, sweet contrast. The bun was also buttery and soft. An overall great burger. I also got it with fries and they were nice and crispy. I liked the aioli dipping sauce it came with which had a nice heat to it. The burger alone was $22 and with the side of fries, it was $28. Despite the burger and fries being great, the price was a bit too high for what I received. I enjoyed the ambiance which makes it a great spot for a date. The mood lighting and decor were nice. The music was on the more clubby side, so I would reccomend a music mix more appropriate for an intimate dining experience. The service was mixed. I liked how attentive the waiters were in clearing out dirty dishes and filling our water cups without asking. They were also generally friendly. However, when it came time to splitting the bill with my friends it was a bit complicated. We had to manually do the calculations ourselves which isn't ideal for a customer experience. One of my friends even calculated wrong and paid more money than she owed, but the server wouldn't re-do the transaction which was not great. For parking, it is street parking only I believe. Despite the deltas, I still had an overall decent experience here.
Stopped by around 11 AM on a quick coffee mission and was pleasantly surprised. Their latte was excellent, and the cookie selection, next level, impossible to ignore. What really elevated the experience was the exceptional staff. They were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Great service & great energy.

We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday, and it couldn't have been more perfect! The service was absolutely amazing -- our server was so attentive, always making sure our glasses were full and that we had everything we needed. Thanks to the professional and friendly staff, we had such a wonderful and memorable time. Every brunch dish we ordered was incredibly delicious, and all the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. The atmosphere, both inside and outside, was beautiful, clean, and relaxing -- such a lovely place to enjoy a meal. They also sell freshly baked bread, and I saw people stopping by just to buy it. Next time, I'll definitely be back to get some bread too! Highly recommend this place for any special occasion or just a nice brunch outing!
We went for lunch on a Saturday. The place was surprisingly empty, it was just us and another table. We ordered drinks, they came out pretty fast. I asked the waiter about gluten free recommendations and he made some suggestions (Spanish omelette) We were four people and ordered four dishes: a burger, a burrito, and 2 Spanish omelettes. The burger came out after 15 minutes or so, then nothing else. My friend starts eating his food... then finished his food and we are still waiting. The waiter finally comes out telling us the Spanish omelettes always take longer but the food will be out shortly. Another 10 minutes goes by and they brought us two croissants on the house to apologize (they contain gluten, I can't eat them). There was a 40 minute delay between the first burger and the other 3 dishes being served to us. We pretty much waited a full hour for our food. 1. All dishes should have been served together 2. They should have warned us about the long wait for Spanish omelettes. We might have ordered something else or added extra appetizers - we were starving 3. After all this wait the Spanish omelette lacked flavor Extremely disappointed
*** Los Angeles Times 101 Best Restaurants (2024): #87 *** Feeling celebratory for a number of reasons, we ended up at Mr. T this past Wednesday for dinner around 8pm. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that all wine here is half off on Wednesdays, so we started off sampling a couple of their red wines (Cabernet and Pinot Noir). To eat, we split the Milk Bread, Chip N' Dip, L'oursin, Poireaux & Burrata, Mr T Pates A La Truffe, and Boeuf Bourguignon. My favorite dishes were the Milk Bread and Boeuf Bourguignon (braised short ribs). Service was impeccable. The ambiance was nice and elevated. If you haven't been, I'd recommend giving this place a try.
This Sunday morning I dropped by Mr. T to try their croissant. I got there around 9:45 AM. It was not busy. Their croissants are good. Right texture. Light on the buttery taste. Crunchy on the outside. But not flaky. It felt like I was eating a manufactured croissant. They tried to be too perfect. DJ's rating: 3.90/5.00 Would I come back? No.
I believe this is a newer spot in town since it's tucked away in a part of town that looks to have a lot of new buildings. When you walk in there are a bunch of sweets laid for you to see which all look delicious. They have great decor and design. We got a few things and the food was decent. The menu does seem to be all over the place as there were some Italian dishes with some Asians inspired ones. The milkbread was okay and the pizza was decent. Service was quick but there wasn't a lot of people but that was to be expected for a new spot and hopefully they can work out their kinks.

Came here with the girls for a Wednesday night girl dinner. For $29 you get a salad, cocktail (or mocktail) and your choice of fries. The chicken Caesar salad was one of the best ones I've had in a while, adding the live dj and girl talk...10/10 read more
This is the neighborhood spot that east WeHo has needed for middle of the week business And friends meetings while also being a great for a date. The service was great and the food has the owner's French touch while being unpretentious. Can't wait to go back! Excellent restaurant for small plates and light bites. I felt that everything was executed very well all around with the steak being a particular standout, as well as the apple pie. Steak was a perfect medium with fantastic marbling and melt-in-the-mouth texture. Apple pie crust was so flakey and crispy and paired excellently with some vanilla ice cream over top. Came here for a team event and the place could easily accommodate us 20+ folks with a private room/area in the back. Also noticed many people sitting in a more intimate area, so seems like quite a versatile place for all kinds of party sizes. Could see this being a great date night spot as well! Would not mind coming back when I am in LA again. read more

Mr. T is a chic bistro oasis in Los Angeles! A lovely menu, beautiful shaded patio, and artistic presentation. A perfect little spot to enjoy great coffee and delicious light fare in a calm, peaceful setting. It's also perfect if you want to sit outside, but don't want to be in the sun. It feels like a secret little retreat. I love it! Service was friendly and felt genuine. Although you order at the counter, it didn't really feel like a number-on-a-stick kinda spot. It's a quietly elevated zen respite, and I love that about it! Looking forward to more visits! read more

We had my girlfriend's birthday here in the back room last month. Vincent, the Event Manager, was so helpful during the planning process, guiding us with the prix fixe menu selection and answering our endless questions. We reserved the private room and patio for our party. It was POURING rain when we arrived- the staff had moved both tables inside and it worked out perfectly. The private room has a record player and wall full of albums, nice touch. Guillaume and Annie made us feel at home. I warned Guillaume that although we are civilized people with excellent taste, we'd be chugging wine like a bizarro-world bacchanal French Oktoberfest. He helped me make some outstanding selections for a great price. Opening round of cocktails were all fantastic and well balanced, the food was outstanding (shout out to the blowtorched cheeseburger!), 100% would recommend! We'll be back for date night. read more

This very special spot is a wonderful find with a Happy Hour from 5 to 7 and a breakfast Burrito with chicken sausage to die for. This is an elegant after work or date night or a solid place to sit and enjoy coffee and journal. Morgan was a great energy as a server and very kind. Super disappointed with my experience here for brunch with a friend. Came at opening at 10:30am and although we got seated right away (we did have a reservation) the service was very much lacking. Took a second for them to come around to order food after we got our drinks (the lathe was delicious) and then no one checked up on us after it was delivered. They also forgot my friends extra sauce she asked for and my extra egg. Oh yes. The eggs. I know we're in a crisis with eggs right now but the menu for the grain bowl said "poached eggs" plural. Nope. It ONE egg. so I ordered 2 more... and they forgot one and had to bring it after. No sorry or after thought. We had to flag down someone for ordering a croissant to go and for our check. The second waiter that took over for our first... he never even came back for us, but kept chatting it up with the table next to us (clearly we weren't somebody's enough for them to qualify for attention and service)... anyway, our waiter kept leaving mid sentence as we were trying to explain what we wanted. Mostly a to go box and extra sauce to take home. The whole thing felt very strange and like we were not important at all. Which is odd, considering that there was maybe seven other tables that were taken. My friend also asked for a printed receipt that she never got. We did complain to someone that identified herself as the manager, and she asked if we wanted a free drink or beverage. I'm gluten-free so I couldn't take any pastries, but she could've offered this to us and taken off the pastry that my friend had ordered, as she was literally ringing us up when we were complaining. Pretty space w a big heated patio, Mr T is French but not afraid to take chances w some Asia-inspired dishes (Galbi-jjim, lumpia). My friend and I split the Burrata salad (delicious) and Lobster Linguine (absolutely amazing) and rib-eye steak w cauliflower purée and leek sauce (ok). Maybe bc the pasta was so out of this world, the steak paled in comparison? The chocolate mouse for dessert was also just okay though huge in portion size. One person cannot eat it all. And a quick shoutout to Allen our server - his charming and professional demeanor added to the experience in a positive way. Definitely plan on coming back to try the lumpia and also the brunch. read more

We had such a great time at Mr. T in Hollywood! There were four of us, and we ordered a bunch of appetizers and mains to share--every single dish was so good. The flavors are bold, fresh, and creative, with really fun takes on some classics. You can tell everything is super high quality, and it honestly left us wanting more. The cod was a standout--perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Service was also awesome--friendly, attentive, and made the whole night easy and enjoyable. Huge patio that feels cozy and private. Beautiful interior. We're already talking about coming back soon, and definitely excited to try their Sunday brunch next time! read more

My favorite thing about Mr. T is how it fits every vibes. You want to have a lunch in peace and read a book? Come for a lunch on the patio. You want a cosy romantic time? Come for diner. You want to meet new people? Come to one of their special events. I love the quality of the sound system and the playlists. Not Mr T from the 80's action show A-Team.. Mohawk, beard, gold chains and torn jean jacket vest he used to say "I pity the fool". I'm guessing this Mr. T is French and the chef. We came here for brunch to try the Mr T Burger. Yup, a burger for breakfast at 9 am. The patron next to us in line looked at me funny when she asked what we were ordering. Mr T Burger is delicious.. The burger patty is a brisket blend, with a mac T sauce, sprouts, comte and mimolette (cheese) foam. Actually, I could do without the sprouts. Prepared medium, the beef quality was very tasty and seasoned well. The fries were freshly fried but wish they were a little more well done. Served with ketchup or mayonnaise Mr T is also known for their pastries which are displayed like jewelry in glass display case. Pastries are 10 classic items to choose from. Perfect looking and well done. Nothing innovative with the exception of the Crooklyn. Crooklyn is a muffin shaped looking croissant puck. In the middle is chocolate chip cookie baked inside. This pastry is very good and I'd come back to order it again. The croissant part is soft inside with a crusty exterior. Inside is full of chocolate chips and cookie dough baked through and topped with walnuts. The perimeter is crusted with what appears and taste to be sesame seeds. For brunch, ordering is at the counter past the pastry displays. Service here is good and attentive. Aside from the initial reference to the 80s TV show, the interior reminds me of a modern take of 80's interiors. Pretty nice an intimate setting both indoors and outdoors. I'll have to come back here for dinner to try. read more
