I enjoyed myself last night. The vibes were on point, fasho fasho. Was able to find street parking right across the street. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was immediately escorted to a table in the patio area near the Dj. The Dj was playing some 90s R&B which was dope cuz I was familiar with every song. My waiter Devon was real cool. He was attentive. Was t really interested in any drinks on their menu. He asked what I liked and I said "Old Fashioned". It was great so I had 2 of them. I also ordered some fries being that I ate prior to coming and just wanted to chill; have a drink while catching some live jazz music. The jazz musician, Joseph, he was dope. He did his thang in that sax. And the Dj, Trey, kept the good music flowing. They work great together as a team. I forget which song it was but immediately I was able to sense that it was one of his favorites to perform to lol. Before leaving Devon gave me a shot of a pomegranate lemon drop which was tasted really good. I also then had the pleasure and opportunity of meeting the owner, Gee. Gee was also they gentleman who greeted me with great energy at the entrance as he escorted me to a table. Great guy indeed. I let him know that I enjoyed myself and I had heard about the cookies lol. I grabbed me a peanut butter cookie which was like $5 but I really loved it. Was upset that I ate it so fast lol. My bill came out to $51 and I left a tip. I figured the drinks were somewhere around $20 or less. The fries were $8. I received great customer service. The prices were exceptional for the location, Hollywood. The ambiance and restaurant were awesome. The parking was free. Minus 4 stars because I just had the most TERRIBLE experience because a Caucasian male with colored eyes and shoulder length curly hair wanted to shame me and talk shit about me to the staff and chefs near the open kitchen which was like 6ft away from my table. No I do not have sonar hearing - he was that loud, obvious and unprofessional. I felt so uncomfortable. I was here with my boyfriend's family for his mom's birthday, party of 8. We ordered $300- $400 worth of food. It was game 7 of Spurs vs OKC. I don't normally drink with his family because they don't drink but it was game 7!!!! I went to the bar for 2 drinks for us because I was shy and did not want to add alcohol to his family's tab. The bill was $30, tipped $6. I'm going to the restroom and I can hear our server talking to the bartender "I'm not mad at you I'm mad at those stupid people". Ummm... ok let it go you're with somebody else's family. When I get back to my table he is STILL going and telling everybody how frustrated he is. My table is right there, I CAN HEAR HIM. Verbal and non verbal communication is just sour. Mans won't even look me in the eye bc I keep staring at him like hello I can hear you. If I wasn't with my boyfriend's family I would have been more confrontational but nobody wants to cause a scene with future in laws. Anyway, he never asked if I wanted another drink which I finished at half time - I was prepared to have him charge my card. And I was too embarrassed to go back to the bar. Hubby and I grabbed brunch today at Mr. T's and had the best time. This place has a great vibe and the service was exceptional. It feels like a little slice of Paris tucked away in weho. I grabbed their burger with a side of fries and my husband ordered their breakfast burrito. The flavors were fantastic and their fries are some of the best I've ever had. This was a cute spot in the neighborhood to grab lunch. The cookies in the pastries case looked good and their lunch menu was limited with food and drink options. We ordered our food and drinks at the counter and chose to sit outside since it was a nice day. I order the Mr. T's Burger medium rare with a side of fries. The bun was soft and the meat was cooked perfectly. The torched cheese was fun to watch. The caramelized onions gave the burger a nice sweetness and the side of fresh tangy greens was nice to eat in between bites to cut the slight greasiness of the burger. The side of fries that came with ketchup was big enough to share. Staff was friendly and answered any questions we had, but other than ordering our food at the counter and having our food dropped off, we didn't receive any additional service besides clearing the table. There was a water station inside for you to grab your own water. From looking at other reviews it looks like they have a different menu options and vibes for dinner so would love to come back to see how that is. read more

Solid French-Californian fusion restaurant on Melrose. Came with some friends on a Friday night and our experience here was decent. For food, I got the Mr. T Burger and it was pretty good. I got the burger at medium rare which the server recommended and it was juicy and meaty. The toppings were great too and the presentation with the cheese flambé was fun. The cheese and aioli were savory and the caramelized onions provided a nice, sweet contrast. The bun was also buttery and soft. An overall great burger. I also got it with fries and they were nice and crispy. I liked the aioli dipping sauce it came with which had a nice heat to it. The burger alone was $22 and with the side of fries, it was $28. Despite the burger and fries being great, the price was a bit too high for what I received. I enjoyed the ambiance which makes it a great spot for a date. The mood lighting and decor were nice. The music was on the more clubby side, so I would reccomend a music mix more appropriate for an intimate dining experience. The service was mixed. I liked how attentive the waiters were in clearing out dirty dishes and filling our water cups without asking. They were also generally friendly. However, when it came time to splitting the bill with my friends it was a bit complicated. We had to manually do the calculations ourselves which isn't ideal for a customer experience. One of my friends even calculated wrong and paid more money than she owed, but the server wouldn't re-do the transaction which was not great. For parking, it is street parking only I believe. Commenting on having drinks here. I love the outdoor patio and the music. Mostly old school R&B with some bangers from other genres mixed in. Edgar is a cool bartender. When you walk in there are a bunch of sweets laid for you to see which all look delicious. They have great decor and design. We got a few things and the food was decent. The menu does seem to be all over the place as there were some Italian dishes with some Asians inspired ones. The milkbread was okay and the pizza was decent. We went for lunch on a Saturday. The place was surprisingly empty, it was just us and another table. We ordered drinks, they came out pretty fast. I asked the waiter about gluten free recommendations and he made some suggestions (Spanish omelette) We were four people and ordered four dishes: a burger, a burrito, and 2 Spanish omelettes. The burger came out after 15 minutes or so, then nothing else. My friend starts eating his food... then finished his food and we are still waiting. The waiter finally comes out telling us the Spanish omelettes always take longer but the food will be out shortly. Another 10 minutes goes by and they brought us two croissants on the house to apologize (they contain gluten, I can't eat them). There was a 40 minute delay between the first burger and the other 3 dishes being served to us. We pretty much waited a full hour for our food. 1. All dishes should have been served together 2. Excellent restaurant for small plates and light bites. I felt that everything was executed very well all around with the steak being a particular standout, as well as the apple pie. Steak was a perfect medium with fantastic marbling and melt-in-the-mouth texture. Apple pie crust was so flakey and crispy and paired excellently with some vanilla ice cream over top. Came here for a team event and the place could easily accommodate us 20+ folks with a private room/area in the back. Also noticed many people sitting in a more intimate area, so seems like quite a versatile place for all kinds of party sizes. Could see this being a great date night spot as well! We had my girlfriend's birthday here in the back room last month. Vincent, the Event Manager, was so helpful during the planning process, guiding us with the prix fixe menu selection and answering our endless questions. We reserved the private room and patio for our party. It was POURING rain when we arrived- the staff had moved both tables inside and it worked out perfectly. The private room has a record player and wall full of albums, nice touch. Guillaume and Annie made us feel at home. I warned Guillaume that although we are civilized people with excellent taste, we'd be chugging wine like a bizarro-world bacchanal French Oktoberfest. He helped me make some outstanding selections for a great price. My friend and I split the Burrata salad (delicious) and Lobster Linguine (absolutely amazing) and rib-eye steak w cauliflower purée and leek sauce (ok). Maybe bc the pasta was so out of this world, the steak paled in comparison? The chocolate mouse for dessert was also just okay though huge in portion size. One person cannot eat it all. Not Mr T from the 80's action show A-Team.. Mohawk, beard, gold chains and torn jean jacket vest he used to say "I pity the fool". I'm guessing this Mr. T is French and the chef. We came here for brunch to try the Mr T Burger. Yup, a burger for breakfast at 9 am. The patron next to us in line looked at me funny when she asked what we were ordering. Mr T Burger is delicious.. The burger patty is a brisket blend, with a mac T sauce, sprouts, comte and mimolette (cheese) foam. Actually, I could do without the sprouts. Prepared medium, the beef quality was very tasty and seasoned well. The fries were freshly fried but wish they were a little more well done. Served with ketchup or mayonnaise Mr T is also known for their pastries which are displayed like jewelry in glass display case. Pastries are 10 classic items to choose from. Perfect looking and well done. Nothing innovative with the exception of the Crooklyn. Crooklyn is a muffin shaped looking croissant puck. In the middle is chocolate chip cookie baked inside. This pastry is very good and I'd come back to order it again. The croissant part is soft inside with a crusty exterior. Inside is full of chocolate chips and cookie dough baked through and topped with walnuts. The perimeter is crusted with what appears and taste to be sesame seeds. For brunch, ordering is at the counter past the pastry displays. Service here is good and attentive. Aside from the initial reference to the 80s TV show, the interior reminds me of a modern take of 80's interiors. Pretty nice an intimate setting both indoors and outdoors. This was, without exaggeration, one of the most disappointing and overpriced delivery meals I've had. I ordered the Salmon Tartine and the advertised "Canned" Iced Latte because there was a Buy One Get One deal and the reviews looked decent. What I received did not match the price, the description, or the expectations. The Salmon Tartine was unacceptable for a $22 dish. The salmon was extremely tough. The menu clearly states that trout roe is included, it was completely missing. The bread was tiny, and the overall portion size was shockingly small. The side salad was barely a garnish, and the dressing tasted like straight lemon juice. Since the tartine already had a strong sour cream component, the combined flavor was overwhelmingly acidic and unpleasant. There was no balance, just sourness. The "Canned" Iced Latte did not come in a can. It arrived in a plastic cup that appeared to be around 14-15oz, despite being advertised as 17oz. The coffee tasted fine, but that does not justify misleading presentation and portion discrepancies. For nearly $40 total, this meal was nowhere close to being worth the price. The portion size is completely out of proportion to the cost, and the online description does not accurately reflect what is delivered. That is extremely frustrating as a paying customer. My coworkers were genuinely shocked when they saw how small the dish was. This felt overpriced and misleading. Unfortunately, this was my first and last order here. Wow - knock me over with a feather! Mr. T French restaurant here in Hollywood, California could hold its own anywhere in Paris, France; yes, it was that good. In fact, they have a "sister" restaurant in Paris, so there ya go, Everything going on here was some "real deal"elevated continental food. Their menu is short but unbelievably sweet. Starting off with my Hendricks gin martini, which was one of the better martini's I've ever had and ending this feast with a rock solid Mr. Tiramisu dessert. But what was in between these two, was the star of the show: * My Salade Caesar - with Belgian endives, white anchovies, parmesan cracker was out of this world * The Escalope Panee was this incredible breaded chicken with brown butter, meyer lemons, anchovies, frisée salad - just so good * My Hanger steak with french fries, peppercorn sauce - once again, just terrific The staff working here were so expertly trained, they made sure your experience here was going to be amazing.
