Fancy!!!! No problem with parking even it's in LA downtown, lots of paid parking lots or valet parking. The place can be for couples or group, or family. Kinda pricey but it's worth the experience and the food. Customer service, excellent! Our group ordered a lot, but ALL are epic!!! My fave among the food that was served was the lobster tail pasta. Now for the dessert, i say it's the lemon tart! I will definitely come back.

Street or lot parking , not cheap & not pleasurable. Beautiful entryway , lights, vibes, layout, architecture & feelz. Sat at the bar Fri night : not busy Average prices Artisanal handcrafted cocktails Generous menu to please everyone Oysters: not mind blowing but yummy Kale salad too dressy Octopus was the bomb, I think about it to this day, not charred, not raw, so meaty & perfectly seafoody flavorful. Steak; uneventful Fries: thin & crispy Yes will return & recommend Super hospitable staff Clean bathroom

Came here for Mother's Day and had such a lovely experience overall! The ambiance was warm and welcoming, perfect for a special celebration. There's plenty of parking available in nearby structures and lots, although do note it's about $20 to park. The service was fantastic, our server was attentive, kind, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Most of our food came out quickly and was bursting with flavor! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The only miss, unfortunately, was the risotto. It was a bit undercooked and lacked the depth of flavor we were hoping for, especially compared to how amazing everything else was. Desserts did take a little while (about 20 minutes), but they were worth the wait, sweet, satisfying, and a great ending to our meal. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back again, maybe just skip the risotto next time!

I went to Le Petit Paris with my coworkers on a Friday night. We did have a reservation for 5 people. For parking, we parked in a nearby lot for $15. As soon as I walk in the restaurant, I could tell it would be an elegant restaurant, since there was a staff opening the doors. In the interior, it was dimly lit and felt like a romantic atmosphere. There was also live music that added onto the vibe. We got a calamari for our appetizer. The positive was that it was large pieces. However, I didn't necessary like that the breading was falling apart. I prefer calamari to be more crunchy, but this one was on the smaller side. For the main dish, I ordered the scallops with black truffle risotto. I really enjoyed this and felt there were decent amount of scallops. The staff cleared out the tables and frequently refilled our waters.

We came to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary I really wanted French because I was craving some escargot and they did not disappoint!! The escargot was so yummy but make sure you get the warm baguette too to dip in the escargot sauce The interior was so beautiful. It felt like a fancy restaurant without having to dress like a fancy restaurant. That's my kinda place! Our server was so kind and friendly. We ordered a crème brûlée for dessert and she brought a glass with a sparkler in it to celebrate the occasion. It was the perfect place to have had our special day.

We booked this restaurant for brunch for our wedding anniversary. We called in ahead of time a few days before the reservation to confirm a few details, booked our babysitter for our newborn son, and were all set and looking forward to this. It's now 7:30pm the night before the reservation was to take place (less than 24 hours' notice) and we get a call from the manager saying that they are canceling our reservation as brunch was booked for a private event. There was no offer of any kind of alternative accommodation, it's just "we're canceling your reservation, bye." I am not upset at a restaurant for booking out for a private event, I imagine this kind of thing happens all the time. What I am upset about is that they are canceling our wedding anniversary reservation for a private event with less than 24 hours' notice. We are now spending the night before our anniversary scrambling to make a new reservation for the following morning after getting cancelled on last minute, not to mention costs already set when it comes to childcare. There was no offer to do anything for the inconvenience, either. It's just "yeah we're canceling you, sorry, but happy anniversary." So, if you were planning, like us, to spend a special day for a romantic date with your spouse, I'd think twice before making a reservation here. There's no guarantee they won't just cancel last minute and leave you high and dry.

I've been wanting to try this charming little French restaurant for some time now, but the parking situation had always held me back. This time, we noticed they offered valet service--much easier than circling the block--so we finally went for it. At first glance, the entrance isn't much to look at, but we were warmly greeted by a doorman who welcomed us in what I believe was French. Very polite and a nice touch. The interior is beautifully decorated--romantic, elegant, and spread over two stories. The ambiance was perfect for a cozy Friday evening. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our waiter, also French, was extremely courteous and attentive. We started with cocktails, which were expertly crafted--smooth, strong, and surprisingly easy to drink. I suspect a skilled mixologist is behind the bar. Now onto the food: Starters: Escargot - Outstanding. Tender, flavorful, and served without the shell, making it easy to enjoy. If you're new to escargot, this is the perfect place to try it. Oysters - Phenomenal. Incredibly fresh, with no fishy aftertaste--just clean, briny goodness. Calamari - Light, crispy, and not at all greasy. Another fresh and well-executed seafood dish. Mains: Wood-fired Pizza - Delicious with a perfectly thin crust, balanced sauce, and flavorful salami. A must-try for any pizza lover. Lobster Pasta - One of the evening's standouts. The pasta was coated in a rich, well-balanced sauce, and the lobster tail was a generous and luxurious addition. Highly recommended. Steak (Medium Rare) - Expertly cooked. It leaned closer to rare, but the cut was tender, juicy, and flavorful--exactly what a good steak should be. Props to the chef. The Showstopper: Truffle Pasta Wheel with Lemon Zest Chicken Breast - This dish absolutely stole the show. The truffle and cheese were perfectly blended, rich without being overwhelming, and packed with flavor. The chicken breast was shockingly juicy--so much so that I had to double-check it really was chicken breast. A brilliant pairing that left no tastebud untouched. Dessert: As a self-declared sweet tooth, I found the dessert delightful. I'm not sure what kind of vanilla ice cream they use, but it was the highlight of the sweets--smooth, creamy, and unforgettable. Final Thoughts: An excellent dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was intimate and relaxing, the service was top-notch, and the food exceeded expectations. I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable night out. Kudos to the chefs and the entire staff!

Reservation. This 'establishment' will charge a no-show fee to guests but can't even be bothered to be open during their stated hours.

Made reservations for Sunday the 5th at 6:30 pm for my birthday dinner. Drove all the way from the IE and the restaurant is closed. No updates on their website, socials or anything.

How in the heck have I not given this place a glowing review!? Le Petit was everything! Came here for a pre-birthday celebration of yours truly and the entire experience was phenomenal. From the doorman to the host and ultimately your server was great. Just top notch. The noise level was just above average since there were multiple celebrations happening at once, but that's alright. All the revelry added to the good time. Seems to be the mood for a Saturday night here. Our server tho a bit busy was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Offered great suggestions for wine and drinks. Our youngest is just under the age of 21 so if you're a non drinker, this place offers delicious mock tails to quench your thirst. For my meal I had the duck breast (see photo). It was a culinary masterpiece! Highly recommended. Don't recall if there are any vegetarian options. Finally, you may want to consider not using the valet service here especially on a weekend. Just massive backlog of cars and pedestrians. We had to get out of line and find parking a block away...no biggie. Overall: If you wanna spoil yourself with a fine dining experience that will leave you looking forward to a future visit...do come to Le Petit Paris.

Was in downtown for a show and craving for escargot and baguette, drove by this place so we decided to check it out. My kid ordered a dessert pizza and I got my espresso martini and escargot w/ baguette, they all hitted the spots and was great. It was not busy since it on a Sunday late afternoon and walking in from the street just takes you out of downtown LA and into French "setting stage like"of a hotel lobby. The vibe is chilling w/ French lounge music and our waitress was supper nice, fast and knowledgeable of the foods & drinks which I greatly appreciated.

Steak frites (8oz.) w/ peppercorn sauce - excellent though steak was pretty fatty

A friend from NYC, who is constantly traveling the world and eating his way through it (including Paris and other cities in France regularly) took me to a late birthday dinner here, and I cannot thank him enough. The food was truly fantastic, and I have to say that was good because Los Angeles is not really known for its French food. Located in DTLA, it's great to plan to go on a weekday just as rush hour parking limits are ending. Right then you can find free parking on the street all around, plus the restaurant will be empty. Though, we are talking about an early dinner. While we were there, it did fill up nicely, though with gorgeous young influencers and older stately couples. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. Staff is attentive and friendly. They make great cocktails and have plenty of good wines by the glass. Now onto the food. We started with the bread and butter, which was exquisite. I really don't know why restaurants need to charge $5-$8 for a small baguette for one and a small saucer of butter, but everyone seems to be doing that these days. A little complimentary bread just builds good will. Anyway, next were the appetizers - French Onion Soup and the 6 Piece Wild Burgundy Escargots. The French Onion soup had good rich flavor but felt a tad on the watery side. It was good, but I've had better. The escargots were far more successful with their rich, garlicky sauce. Next were the entrees - Steak Frites for me with peppercorn (au poivre) sauce and the duck leg confit. Both entrees were successful. You get a lot of frites with the steak... a LOT. My only slight complaint was the steak was a bit fatty. It could've been trimmed better. I felt the weight was a bit skewed with the fat left over on my plate when I was done cutting around it. The duck confit was very good and won raves from my friend. Some great champagne and a couple of fantastic espressos later, were were completely satiated. I totally recommend giving this place a shot to win you over. I will be back.

Completely lived up to the hype! Incredibly delicious dinner with my family. We enjoyed splitting many plates, I recommend 2 things person. We got about 10 things for 6 people and that was enough because we had a late lunch. We ate everything quickly it was soooo delicious! My favorites were the linguine, yellowtail ceviche, and oysters. There was a cabaret event happening during dinner in honor of the Cannes Film Festival. It was so fun and so well done that I'll definitely be checking their website for other events to bring visitors to.

5* interior 5* hostess 3* patio seating 2,5* waiter that we got that day 4* food I went to Le Petit Paris for Thanks Giving. Gor lucky and parked right on the street for free because it was holiday. The restaurant has valet parking. The entrance was very spectacular, person greets you at the door and opens it to you and you entering this amazing building (you can see the picture i addes with the Christmas tree). I would say interior seating looked way more attractive then outside on the patio. We reserved the table on the patio (you can see in the picture with tartars, the view you'll get to see is the bamboo wall). Hostess was such a nice young lady she was very patient and with bubly personality so the start was amazing. Because we came to celebrate Thanks Giving the menu was already pre-made but still with few more choices. My food choices: Salmon tartar- it was delicious and very light Turkey dish - for me it was too much food and turkey was little bit too dry and too salty for my taste Apple tarte (apple pie) and was really good, lots of apple pie paste. The bigest minus was our waitress, we got real French lady, as an european myself i know we are not very "smiley" people but com'on it was holiday atleast she could squeeze one smile. But overal she was always rushing us to choose what we want to eat, and few times she just walked out in the middle of the conversation, thankfully me and my colleague did not let this ruin our holiday mood. She would be good bar tender but as a waitress she is horrible, you need to communicate with customer and thats not her strong part. Overall experience was very nice!

It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. A group of my friends and I have come here three different times, really wanting to like this place because the atmosphere is beautiful and lively. Unfortunately, each visit has been consistently disappointing due to the same bartender--a shorter male with visible tattoos and facial hair, who seems to regularly work one side of the bar. On all three occasions, we experienced being ignored while trying to order, even as other guests who arrived after us were served first. The first time, we were eventually told "you guys can wait" in a rude tone of voice while he continued taking other orders. The second time, we were never helped at all and had to move to another part of the bar, where a female bartender provided much better service. The third visit was the most concerning. When we tried to get his attention, he responded in a dismissive and rude tone, and as he walked away, we overheard him make an inappropriate comment about us under his breath calling us out of our name and we felt very disrespected so much so that we just left. We completely understand that weekends can get busy, but consistently dismissive and disrespectful service--especially across multiple visits--is not acceptable and we've also seen him be rude to other guests as well. Aside from this issue, the venue itself is great, which is why we gave it multiple chances. I really hope management can address this, as it impacts the overall appearance and experience of the establishment. Thank you.

Parking: street parking can be rough to find during peak dinner time on weekends but not bad early…read moreevening on weekdays Reservations: Limited availability on Resy makes it seem harder to get though we were able to make one. Tables looked available around 5pm though so walk-ins could be possible. Ambiance: Outside was nice and inside looked dimly lit and romantic. We were seated promptly and service was good. Food: Rice slushy had a strangely strong cinnamon-like taste to it that traditional rice punch doesn't have which was so overpowering, it made it difficult to go back for more sips. Oysters - good though small, enjoyed the kelp mignonette Korean Aguachile - Delicate tilefish completely overwhelmed by cold kimchi broth with actual icy slush in it and small amounts of fish Steak Tartare - The hot stone bowl seemed to defeat the purpose of a tartare, as it cooked the steak once mixed. The perilla leaves were also cut in large strips relative to the beef. Chilled Acorn Noodle - The perilla oil was nonexistent in flavor though the dish didn't need it and was good without. Overall, portions were small for the price and dishes weren't well-executed so despite being excited for more Korean options in West LA, I'd much rather make the drive to Koreatown for better portions, prices, and flavors.

Cocktails are strong and actually well done, but what makes it stand out is the experience. There's a learning component woven in, which makes it feel more intentional than your average bar. The drinks were strong (in the best way ) but still super smooth and enjoyable. Shoutout to Rich for being such an incredible host--he made our group feel welcomed, taken care of, and really elevated the whole experience. A couple things to note: there is parking available, but it is paid (you can either text to pay or use the kiosk machines). The experience itself lasts about 40-60 minutes, which felt like the perfect amount of time. The only downside for me was that the bathroom is shared for both genders. For safety reasons, I personally wish they were separate--so ladies, I'd recommend going with someone just to be safe. You just never know. They also give you a little treat afterwards, which was a really nice touch and a sweet way to end the visit! Overall, I'd definitely come back and recommend it to others

Took some friends here who were visiting and wanted a Speakeasy experience…read more It was maybe 9:30/10pm on a Friday and it wasn't super busy. We were able to get a seat on the coach and order drinks from the bar relatively quickly. Prices were pretty typical of LA ($18-25 a cocktail) but I would say I probably won't come back this late as it's in a shadier part of town. They have a bouncer and it was fine inside, but it's not a place where you can bar hop if that's what you're looking for as the area is seedy. Would be interested to try the food next time, but again, the safety and comfort of the light of day.

NOVEMBER 26.2025…read more I've been through many iterations of The Library Bar over the years... from small and cozy secret bar for those that work in the looming skyscrapers of Downtown LA to being some noisy urban hip hop affair that served godawful drinks (see my past review!), and on back to being a calm and casual neighborhood bar again. The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.

The appeal of this place is not offset by the negatives…read more It's really marketed as more of an exclusive experience. Kind of like a speakeasy. The service is a one out of five for sure. We had two separate servers because one went home during the middle of our dinner and both were equally horrible. Not even exaggerating when I say we waited at least 15 minutes after we asked for the check and there were probably only 10 tables in the entire restaurant. And we had to call her back over to ask for a second time. SMH. The food although flavorful was so ridiculously priced it was not even funny. I got a "ribeye ". Was literally eight thin slices of steak, like 1" x 1" size for $42! No, I will not be coming back here for so many reasons. The view is great. Castaways is definitely not what it used to be in the way of quality but at least you get more and you get the view. But definitely not worth it going to this place. It was quite a frustrating evening. Also, if you do decide to go here, just bring a coat when it's a little bit cooler in the evenings cause it does get cold up here and getting the staff to manage the heaters correctly is a whole other frustration. Oh, and valet is your only option for parking up here. It's kind of crazy because a few years ago you could just go park in the lot or the garage that's available there but now they're charging you $11 and it's chaos. I will say that the view up here is great though so if you're willing to forgo all of that for a view for like a one time date or something like that, it might be worth it
