You go through the line and pick what you would like and add it to your tray, paying for the total at the end, where the condiments and utensils are located. The bar is in the center of the place. You come in and seat yourself, and honestly, the TVs are everywhere, so don't worry too much about not getting a good table. You'll be able to watch your game from anywhere. The actual food was great-the brisket was beautifully seasoned and very tender. We were honestly so addicted to it. The wings, especially the dry rubs, were honestly perfectly done-they had a nice char and smokiness, but the flavors were strong. All the sides paired perfectly with the different meats, and THAT CORNBREAD??? Man, I could eat a hundred of those. I think my favorite sides were the greens and the mac n cheese, super comforting. Also, the pitchers they had were honestly great and perfect for big crowds. I would 1000% recommend this kind of sports bar for bigger groups of friends. Honestly, it's a great place to spend the evening when you don't know what to do or what to eat.

I…read moredo assume that the cover they've been charging during big sports games probably helps, but the last time I was here it was only half full and the line to get food wrapped around the entire place and was almost out the door. There has to be a better way to organize this. All that aside, Pig Beach is where you want to come when you're craving BBQ on a nice day. The venue is mostly outdoors with a few indoor tables and two bars. Drinks here are well priced and the specials are even better - I paid $5 for a tequila spritz last time I was here. The meat here is really tender and the sides absolutely slap. Even if you're coming here with a vegetarian there are solid options - the mac and cheese and cole slaw are my favorites. Also I never thought I'd be okay with paying $7 for pickles but the half sours here absolutely slap. Last time I went here I had the ribs which were huge and tender, and the jalapeno cheddar sausage that I def didn't need but it was so, so good. If you're coming here to watch a popular game, get here early to snag a spot.

It was my first time having Chinese BBQ cart skewers and I was an instant fan. I've gone back a bunch, taking other people with me. By far my favorites are the lamb, pork, and enoki mushroom, ordered spicy of course. The lamb is so tender, and the mushrooms are just so fun to eat. They're slippery, they are hard to chew, they don't break apart, they get stuck in my teeth, and I end up swallowing large bites which are covered in that spicy sauce and make me choke and...I just love it! I can't explain it, there's something about the chewiness and heat that while inconvenient, I really enjoy. The beef is also solid. The squid is OK. The chicken gizzards are not bad, I'm still developing a taste for them but they are not overcooked and tough here. The only thing I'd say to skip are the shrimp, they come out with their shells still on and are just rubbery. Cash only, if it's not obvious. If you buy something like $20 or more they give you a free soda. They have some stools set up if you want to eat it right there, but they're usually under the awning of New Golden Sparkling market and well, there's a lot of birds and bird poop there. I would just walk with it. There are lots of BBQ carts up and down Broadway, but I think the meat here is the best (not tough or fatty), and the service is always great. The main guy manning the grill doesn't speak too much English, but there's usually a younger guy helping him who does. Even without the help, ordering is easy, you just say the type of skewer you want, how many, and if you want it spicy. If you're really struggling, point! But it's never come to that.

The plating and beef boards they bring out are just fun to see. The experience is what you make of it - fresh juice drink options, tons of meat proteins and sides to choose from. I've been here twice and can tell the meat is very fresh and well prepared. I can't even name a favorite, just loved everything! The meat staircase is definitely something to try - so many cuts and good portion size. You get two to three pieces of each protein. It's a great value. Service (5/5): This is a self-cook, manning your own meat establishment. The food comes out prepared on trays at fairly quick speed. Burners worked well and were changed out when burned. The burner seemed small but we were able to cook fast enough to keep everyone happy. Food (4/5): For 6 of us (4F & 2M), we ordered just the right amount of food: Meat Lover's Stair Combo, Beef combo, veggie platter, 2 rice. I'd say that all of the meat was super tender but nothing stood out too much. None of the meat was marinated except for 1 meat in the stair combo that turned out to be everyone's favorite. For all that food it was about $40/pp. A free small cup of Hershey's vanilla ice cream at the end of the meal. Overall, had a great time and good food!

There was a lot of energy in the place. The wait staff were friendly. Food was great but was pricey per skewer. Food 5/5: Delicious and tasted close to skewer cart (this is a win!). Would have loved to try more things but some skewers were up to $3 each so it got pricey fast. They did have a large selection of skewers to choose from. You get a wrist band with a QR code that tracks what skewers you order. Non-skewer items could be ordered using your phone. Everything was fresh. They had house-made spice and sauce packets at each table. Every table had a cheat sheet showing how long to barbecue each type of skewer. We tried the bbq scallops which were full of garlicky goodness and cold noodles which was a refreshing balance to the heat of the grill. Service 5/5: Friendly waiter. Gave us the run down on how things worked in the restaurant. Periodically checked in on us. No complaints. Ambiance 4/5: Prefacing that the high energy environment was not really my cup of tea but I know others may prefer it. The raffle did get me to eat more since my curiosity got the most of me and I wanted the chance to win! Who doesn't want the chance to win something and get to eat at the same time! I found out I have no patience to wait that long for my food to cook. Just watching the overpriced skewers go round and round and round, you seriously need to have a LOT of patience. Cool place to hang out with friends if you have time to just hang out and wait for your food to cook. The options were impressive enough but meat quality was not all there. The place was busy and popping when I went and there was a decently long wait. The location is interesting in that it's inside the flushing food court mall. I think kids would love this place because of the raffle which my goddaughter did end up winning a stuffed panda, but I don't know if I would want to go back again. It's self-serve and you had to wait for a cashier to ring in your items before you could go back to your table to start placing them on the grill. With the amount of food we had to cook, the two grills at each table were not enough. Or maybe I came with too many people... Customer service was good, but I can tell they were overwhelmed with the amount of people they were trying to serve at dinner time. We had to remind our server a few times and they would just tell us to order off the iPad. At one point, we had to have them explain to us how the whole thing worked, but we figured it out! It's a cool experience and I would say, you should try it at least once.

Overall the ribs were really dry and overcooked, perhaps from being in the warmer a little bit longer than expected. They were also really skinny ribs with not a whole lot of meat. (I was overwhelmed at first and ordered a plain quarter chicken (dark meat) & 3-rib plate. The cashier was nice enough to recommend the #8 combo (1/4 Chicken, 3 Ribs) instead.) The cut of ribs were good but slightly dry. Was recommended the beans (good) with white rice (dry) by the cashier. Dark meat was the best. First bites of the white meat & ribs were dry, but got better towards the middle. The green sauce was watery and didn't have much flavor. Not sure why everyone raves about green sauce. Was expecting Mama's Empanadas level, but this was 1/4 of that flavor. The Cantonese-speaking cashier was so nice & chill! Communication was easy (English, Cantonese, or Spanish) & they had a steady flow of customers, of all backgrounds. I would get the food to go, the dining area is one long, narrow room and for whatever reason the floor was very wet. I guess it's good that they mopped at 4 PM? There were a few guys that were either workers or hanging out at the far back tables, one or two middle-age couples dining in. It was just kind of a sad ambience. The cashier recommended the Lomo Saltado next time. Maybe I went at a slow time, 4 PM Friday. First bite of food at home was decent, but nothing overwhelming. I would stick to all dark meat! Reheat the pink beans at home. Glad that they usually get their workers two weeks vacation (as per a sign in 2022) - shows that business is good! *Didn't realize they're connected to Caravan Chicken in Astoria. Might try them (closer to me) to compare.

I'm biased since I spent a good chunk of my childhood eating this kind of food in Chinatown, but Shun Wang's food is just sufficient enough to fill those cravings. Their price points are pretty high for Elmhurst (where most restaurants haven't raised the prices the way Chinatown or Flushing have, luckily), and their food is just OK.
