My boyfriend took me here to eat at Mr. Pho! It's very authentic with lots of options. The jellyfish salad was an absolute standout -- incredibly fresh, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures PLUS it's just such an odd item to find on the menu. It was the ideal start to the meal! For the main course, the pho was rich and flavorful, with the broth being perfectly seasoned and the tendon cooked to perfection. The barbecue beef was tender, smoky, and just the right amount of charred. Each dish was exceptional and full of authenticity. The service was friendly but slow, which is totally fine because of how small the restaurant itself is. Highly recommend Mr. Pho for anyone craving delicious, flavorful Vietnamese cuisine!

The broken rice and the bbq pork was yummy it's equivalent to Orange County Little Saigon broken rice. The pho was as traditional as it can get for Vietnamese pho great place to eat and will be back. The service was great and the servers were attentive and gave us water right away. The fish tank was different compared to the other Vietnamese restaurants and the seats were comfortable.

I love ordering my favorite shrimp pho in xl with my usual Thai tea from here. My hubby loves the egg drink with condensed milk it's his favorite! They also have very good spring rolls, egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, and beef pho. The pho hear tastes very authentic then other Vietnamese places in Oceanside. I also really lov how their prices are amazing I hope they never change that I will foreve be a faithful customer!

Mr Pho is extremely delightful! Having just returned to Oceanside, I appreciate how consistent they are with their food and service. Ordered pho and fried egg rolls. One order of egg rolls comes with 6 and was enough to share amongst 3 of us. The lettuce, egg rolls and sweet and sour sauce make a perfect appetizer to me. The different in price between the regular and large pho is 1 dollar so it's best to get the large in my opinion. I ordered takeout so I typically pour about a fifth of the broth into a cup to avoid all the ingredients overflowing. The broth is flavorful so is nice to have to drink on the side. I typically order #18 w just steak. Took less than 15 min to order and pick up. Will be coming back

And said welcome for two? have that table right there! I was shocked, immediately feeling more than welcome. So now my hopes were high. Ordered the pork fried rice, house pho, and lotus stem salad with shrimp. Where to begin my goodness, I'm salivating writing this review only one day later. Let's start with the salad, never would I order this in my life but my girl knows her Asian cuisine very well, it was the first thing she picked. And my god, freaking unbelievable every bite I had was so so tasty! That dressing is incredible along with the onions, I don't know what they do to them but man oh man they were delightful. Now the pork fried rice, what a hit! The pork is sliced so unbelievably thin and with so much flavor too, and the fried rice was all very good. Definitely not the best fried rice I've had but it was still quite tasty, I feel it was just slightly on the dry side for a fried rice. But flavor was very tasty and some bites were not dry. And the pho!! Kabang, another hit!!! The broth, noodles, everything. And they serve it with beans sprouts and jalapeno which is a must add!! The crunchiness from the bean sprouts ties the whole bowl together! Will I be back is not even a question one should ask. Boy am I glad to have tried this place!!! 9.5/10 Lost .5 points because of the fried rice. What a beautiful spot!!! Apologies for no pictures I tend to forget when on a date.

And when that happens, it's usually a piping bowl of ramen or pho that will answer my body's asks, so I checked out this place! This restaurant is in a strip mall a few blocks from the pier (ok maybe more like a 15 min walk) literally next door to Sunshine Kitchen. Sunshine Kitchen had a lot of diners inside and out, and I felt a little FOMO while I stuck to my decision to eat at Pho Bowl & Grill. They have two tables for outdoor seating and since no one was sitting outside and the temp was nice enough, I asked to sit outside. No problem for the guy taking care of me. He was the waiter, the guy answering the phone, the guy making sure take outs/deliveries were happening and cashier, and he got it all done! What a magician. He was pleasant enough as Asian service is about getting down to business so he took my meatball pho and diet Coke order and got to work on it. Meatball pho was delicious and piping hot and the side veggies were all fresh and abundant. Meal was very casual, I ate and slurped in peace and then went inside to pay. Great, low key spot that makes good pho. Id definitely return.

Luckily, we got there around 630ish (PM), because not too long after, there was someone coming in every 2 to 3 minutes until it was packed-this place is popular! Anyway, when we came in, we were told to just pick a seat anywhere we wanted. There are plenty of tables put together (family style) and once seated we were able to order right away. Like I said, after we came in, it started getting a little busy so the wait for our food was a little longer than I had expected (but not too bad, maybe about 10 minutes). However, we did order some spring rolls for appetizers and those came out right away..... later, when the broth came out it was nice and hot! Everything was delicious, the beef brisket and flank steak were flavorful on their own within the broth and nice and tender. Of course, the broth, like I said earlier was very flavorful and that's definitely what you want to expect eating pho. All of the wait staff were great, cheerful and happy/attentive. We'll definitely be back, as this is definitely our go to for Oceanside pho in this area.

That said, it's also noticeable that times are affecting portion sizes and some of the ingredient quality compared to what this place used to be. Unfortunately, the bigger issue now is the service. On multiple recent visits -- both dine-in and pickup -- the wait staff has mostly been gathered around the bar area on their phones or watching TV instead of checking on tables. During this visit, I eventually had to get up myself just to ask for water. After experiencing this on two separate occasions, I think I'm officially on the hunt for a new pho spot here in Oside after many years of loyalty. It's disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite comfort food locations. But between the unprofessional service, drop in food quality, and an increasingly unfavorable dining experience, I won't be returning.

The decor has red throughout which is my fave color, so that's a plus. They have a beautiful artwork piece on the wall that I always forget to ask if it's a living wall. The plants look real. The downfall is this place runs warm, not enough air flow for me. This evening was there after having early hot weather this March. The food was unfortunately just ok along with the Thai Iced Tea w/boba. The tea didn't seem strong enough and the boba were clumpy. My dish didn't look like the pic on the menu that I was hoping to get. Instead of the marinated looking meat, I got more of a saucy or soupy chicken dish. It was good but not what I was craving for. I do always like to get the fried buns. You can order it with pork slices, but I requested no meat. It comes with a fish dip sauce which is good together, but good without too. The Chicken Fried rice was ok. It was bland, almost no salt or real flavor. I added hot sauce and salt. It must have been an off night or maybe us coming in an hour and a half before they closed. The food is usually good. The service is a hit and miss. Tonight the service was good and friendly and just ok since we had two people catering to our table. I would return. Like I mentioned the food is usually delish, drinks too. Now that it's summer I think I would choose to sit away from the windows where the sun beams through.

He's had better. Adding hoisin sauce helps. The dish only included two packets of hoisin. (I keep a bottle on hand because I normally like hoisin with almost every bite whenever I eat pho. Restaurants never give enough.) Be sure to ask for extra! The noodles came in a bowl which is convenient. Other establishments may have the noodles in a Chinese take out box and you supply your own bowl. Overall, he was happy with his meal. The restaurant only had one table with guests. The restaurant is fairly quiet with the exception of a movie playing on tv. I don't know the movie. Didn't pay much attention to it until I heard cussing. A lot of it. Tense scenes. The lady servicing the front paid no attention to it. Probably background noise to her. I wasn't a fan. Not exactly family friendly and poor taste imo. I went here because my usual spot is closed on Tuesdays. Overall, it was a decent experience.
