Fast, friendly, and quality service! From the time I called to request a quote and inquire about availability until the time that the locksmith unlocked my door, it was less than an hour in total on a Saturday afternoon. I dumbly walked out of my apartment, locking the door behind me, without my house or car keys for a day of errands. The locksmith, whose name I did not catch, was helpful, friendly, and no nonsense. Within three minutes he had my door unlocked and was processing my payment. Definitely pricier than it should be for how easy the labor was ($194 for a simple door knob lockout), but on par with other businesses in the area (based on calling others for quotes) so I understand it's about making money. I was a regular customer who will never use Mr. Locksmith again, after being taken advantage of by Carmit (also goes by Carmen). I previously had great experiences with Mario at Mr. Locksmith, who changed all my locks when I moved and has responded to lockouts. I found him to be honest about what needs to be done and pricing and also considerate in waiting with me for a sketchy character to leave my gate before Mario left after he completed a job. I have even referred him to family members. Unfortunately, during a lockout where Mr. Locksmith was unable to send Mario, they sent Carmit, who overcharged me more than 2x the lockout price and did unnecessary damage to my lock. Instead of simply tearing my screen to stick a hand in to unlock my door (a solution that unfortunately only occurred to me once she had already drilled through my lock - in fact, I probably didn't even need to call Mr. Locksmith), she insisted that drilling my lock was the best (least damaging) means of opening my door. She also refused me the option to have her install a replacement for the damaged lock and left me feeling absolutely taken advantage of with the pricing and stupid for having trusted her assessment of what solutions were appropriate. The reason why I am done with Mr. Locksmith and not simply blaming Carmit for predatory behavior is because I asked the dispatcher upfront for a price range for the lockout prior to him dispatching Carmit and he told me that the price would depend on which technician came. Since Carmit's pricing was more than double what I had previously been charged for a similarly simple to solve lockout and since she was dishonest about the solution that was best (least damaging), I hold Mr. Locksmith responsible for sanctioning inconsistent pricing by their technicians in the first place. Be warned about inconsistent pricing between technicians and predatory pricing by Carmit, in particular. read more

This Comp I found in a panic at around 9:21pm yesterday morning. I misplaced my car key. I am from out of state(NY to be exact). The man who came was on the phone talking and chit chatting as if he were home relaxing! He was able to get my car open and unlocked. However he was trying to get my 2016 Toyota Camry to start with the key he created. He had a computer hooked up to my car. He was reprogramming my car. Then said he needed to jump start my car/battery! My car was working FINE with NO issues before I misplaced my key so why was that needed?! After 50mins of him trying to turn my car on he gave up. I told him my husband would over night my key. He said that my car should start w/my original key however if it didn't I should call him. HA! I was NEVER calling this Comp again! He told me he would charge me $150 for his unlocking my car, I said NO WAY! I'll pay you something for coming here but he didn't help me in fact he made matters worse! He then said I had to pay $100 I told him NO WAY to that price as well. He then got in his car and said don't worry "I'll pay for it" meaning he would pay. Umm ok! The following morning I had my car towed to Toyota so that it could be diagnosed and have a new key cut! Time was wasted calling this company as well as messing up my computer system in my car. As I sit here in Toyota, waiting to know what the issue will be. This company better hope I don't have to come out of pocket for a crazy amount of $$!!I only give this company 1 star for coming out to open my car. DO NOT WASTE your time using this company! They must only be able to unlock doors and tis all! read more

We emailed them pictures of the old lock and handle and within 30 minutes we received and accepted their price quote. Leo arrived promptly the next morning and did the job.
