Picture it, Sicily, 1922... no wait, that isn't it. Manassas, 2014, Jodi comes home from a snowy two hour commute from work, threw her keys in the door and expected it to open. Click. Click. Jiggle. Jiggle. Jiggle. Jiggle. Jiggle. NOTHING! Once again I was locked out of my house; however this time I actually had the keys and my cell phone, said key just decided to give up on life and not do its job any longer. After reading reviews for locksmiths online, I called TW Locksmith to rekey two locks at my house. I was given an estimate over the phone that sounded very reasonable. John said he could be at my house in an hour and a half and that's exactly when he arrived. The second I answered the door he greeted me with a smile, showed me his DCJS card (Department of Criminal Justice Services) and a second form of ID. John went over everything with me again, rekeyed both locks and cut four new keys for me. Just bought a new house in Manassas. The previous owner left ONE key and it did not even open all the locks. Searched around and ask a few folks. They recommended TW Locksmiths. Called them on Wednesday we were not moving in for a week so it was not a rush job. John said he would arrive Friday between 9 and 10 AM and quoted me a price to replace all the locks and give us several keys. He arrived at 9:10AM with everything in hand. Went on yelp to find a locksmith and saw the good reviews. He finished installing a new door handle and lock for me today and was very pleased with the service. He came early in the window of one hour he have me and was quick to answer the phone or return calls. He managed to find the exact same door handle an install for a reasonable price in less than a half hour. Couldn't ask for more and friendly at that. He covers all of the Fairfax area as far as I know, just with differing charges to come out. I checked around and his fee is much lower than the other locksmiths in the are. My wife and I are on vacation and our son was locked out of the house. The key worked on the lower lock but would not open the deadbolt. A neighbor even tried and could not get it to work. I first called Baldino's which I know to be a good and reputable business. I'll continue to use the for certain needs but no longer for callouts. They quoted me a cost of $267 to come over. (It was around 530-6PM on a weekday and not a holiday) It would have cost more if they could not pick the lock and had to drill it out. I decided this was way too exorbitant and came to yelp looking at reviews. I found TW Locksmith and called. I can't recall the young mans name but he's a small business. He quoted me a cost of $120 and would charge no more if he had to drill it out. He quoted an hour and maybe longer as he was busy but I believe he was there in less than an hour. I didn't meet him but my son said he did a good job. I would not hesitate to use him again if needed. One small issue is that he does not accept credit cards. read more

We were evicting a tenant and the sheriff gave us a specific time to meet him at our home with a locksmith to change the locks. I don't write many reviews but I was so impressed by John of TW Locksmith that I felt I wanted to share my experience with others. I called on a Friday afternoon with an exterior door that would not lock. As this was not an emergency I didn't think I would be able to get anyone to come until after the weekend but gave it a shot. John was busy however he was willing and able to make a few adjustments to his schedule to accommodate me. He arrived within an hour with a very pleasant and professional attitude.
