Lost a Jeep key. Local dealer quoted me $300 for the key and over $100 for the programming in the service department. I did a search online and I couldn't program a key on my own unless I have 2 working keys. I went by Baldino's in Manassas and was told to buy the key online and to make sure to match the fcc code. I purchased 2 key fobs online for $24.95 and went straight to Baldino's. I got 2 keys cut and programmed -$130!!! Wow. Bypass the dealer and go with this wonderful locksmith Very friendly. A big disappointment. Baldino's had a great rating and seemingly a good reputation. Our experience was a reality check of Baldino's today. We called Baldino's so they could come out and look at our door locks and recommend replacements that were high security as we were wanting to be more conscientious of security. Baldino's came out reasonably soon, it only took a few days. The gentleman that came was courteous. We were also interested in a new door, but there appears to be a lack of clarity between what is on their website in comparison to what they actually provide as it relates to doors. The gentleman that came explained that Baldino's only does doors for commercial, not residential. We were charged a $135 service fee, and then the gentleman left, saying he would get back to us on recommended products. We had expressed interest in knowing cost and having the installation done. It has been weeks, and my wife has followed up once and received a response, but we have not actually gotten any quote to move forward with purchase and installation. At this point, we paid $135 for someone to come by, spend 15 minutes looking around, then... nothing. This is by fair the biggest rip off of a service fee I have ever experienced. I will not ever use Baldino's again; I do not recommend. read more

I called these this company due to its good reviews I saw. But as I read further, experienced the same others have experienced. Put in a request online Thursday night, knowing they are closed but expected to hear something the following morning. I got a text 10:25 the next morning saying if not resolved they'll have someone dispatched. I called 10:57 following up and was told they have 5 dispatchers and my order had been placed and I would be getting a call back shortly. Never got a call back. Followed up again Saturday morning to be told they called me back - they did not. No message left and I watched my phone for them all day to call. Now I'm told, sorry we are closed now until Monday morning. Save yourself some time if you actually need your lock opened sooner than later and call somebody else. read more

Yes. Went to this location for a replacement Key + fob for my 2013 Kia Sorento. They were able to order the new key and program it in addition to laser cutting it at half the cost that the dealership was asking for. When the manual key would not open the door, the technician went above and beyond, to figure out why and even repaired it for me since it was an easy fix. SUPER helpful! read more

Honda CBR1000RR Key Cut Excellent work, fair price, professional, timely and done right the first time. Had a Honda CBR1000RR key cut today after a different locksmith could not quite get it right. Baldino's saved my key, cutting it right and now I have a spare again. Backstory- I moved and lost spare keys to my trailer and bike. Bad move I know. But Baldino's came through fixing the motorcycle key blank I purchased from Honda and cut my spare trailer lock keys as well. Highly recommend for anything from keys to locks! read more

I brought in my own key blank to have cut as a hidden spare for my Tacoma pickup. I bought a magnetic key safe to hide the spare key on my truck. I was only charged for the key safe. Very pleased with the service! read more

Outrageous charge to begin a service call and then tacked on bogus "miscellaneous supplies" charge that they claim the IRS requires them to charge even though no supplies were used. They are a one and done company. read more

The lock to my rear slider door stopped working, it was from 1984 and discontinued. The lock was designed as, "non-serviceable" and riveted. After searching the internet with no luck on a replacement I took the lock to Richard at the Manassas location. He was very welcoming when I walked in and although he made no promises, he said he would see what he could do. To my surprise, within a couple hours I got a text message from him stating he had fixed my lock. When I went back to pick it up, I tried to pay him for his time and he told me not to worry about it. The lock is fixed and he said if I had any other issues to bring it back and he would take care of it. This is the second time I've used this location and I've been very happy both times. Richard just seems like a legit down to earth nice guy who will do his best to help someone in need. I will certainly be using them in the future. read more

I hired Baldino's to install a bolt lock which they provided and to change a latch lock which I provided. Their man was at the house about 45 minutes and presented me with a bill for $467. I thought this was extreme for the work done and complained to them. That got me nowhere. I then wrote a letter to the owner, Mr. Baldino, indicating that I thought the price for the work done was exorbitant. I never even received the courtesy of a reply to my letter. So, if you don't mind paying through the nose for a locksmith, go ahead and use Baldino's. If not, find someone else. read more

Total ripoff I got the key program and cut by him for $45 last year today he's saying it's not possible when I brought him a cut key with remote programmed just the key part needed to be registered to the system ,Asking me $75 I even had the same key cut by him ,no fix rate would give you price by looking at you . read more

I have been a Baldino's customer for many years and normally do business with the Location in Vienna. Recently I had a need for extensive on site service at a business location in Manassas, and the entire experience has been awful. It has taken three separate visits to complete the work, the technician seems to not ever have all the tools and equipment needed for the job. Additionally, the lack of customer service and communication from the person who manages the incoming calls is horrible. I would never recommend them....they can learn a great deal about providing good service from their counterparts in Vienna. read more

We needed a new deadbolt and door knob. We stopped by Baldinos on Mathis Avenue in Manassas, VA on Tuesdsay August 24th. Well the guy there calls a dispatcher and hands me the phone. I tell this person what we need well no one could come out until Friday. Well the lock person came out on time. But the shocker was the cost of installing a simple Quick Set deadbolt and door knob and making 2 extra keys was outrageous. Over $400.00 for this. Why does everything that is soooo simple and simple to do for this person sooo expensive. This was a 2 weeks paycheck for me. I should have called other people. But our door would not lock from the outside with the deadbolt and the door knob lock didn't work. read more

I came here to get copies of office keys. I was greeted by the owner whom had amazing customer service. He made me copies of the keys and I went to the office and when I tried the new keys they did not work, i called baldinos and spoke to him and he immediately tried to fix my problem. He first told me to try twisting the key back and forth while in the lock, and if that didn't work to come back to his store so he could remake the keys. But I didn't have to do so as his initial solution worked. He is very attentive and willing. Thank you! read more

I have an old door with ONE old key to the antique lock. It worked but I needed some copies. After fails at both Home Depot and Lowes, I tried Baldino's in Manassas. I cannot remember the gentleman's name but he magically knew to ask if the key had a little click when turning. YES. Not only did he fix that but had them ready while I waited. By far, this is the best lock and key service I have ever used and I have used many. I have been into the location twice to get copies made. The first time was to get a copy of a laser cut car key made (that the dealer quoted me a price of $150 for a key copy but ultimately said it was "unable" to do without paying $300 for a key fob to go with it). I was concerned about both the price and accuracy of the key but tried. I got a perfect copy for a fraction of the cost, all within 10 minutes of entering the store. I also brought a mailbox key that I had gotten three copies made elsewhere and none worked. The copies of this small/oddly shaped key also were perfect and provided with the car keys. I have gone into the store for house key copies which were extremely cheap and I received a discount only for the promise of writing a good review (which has been extremely overdue and well-deserved anyway). I have also used the at home service to fix a deadbolt which unsurprisingly was fantastic. As long as this business is open I will not go anywhere else. The customer service, skill, precision, and price at all things related to locks and keys exceed any other business in the northern Virginia area. read more
