Copy of Miata fob. I came in on Monday and was told the part would need to be ordered. They told me it should arrive by Friday. I got a call the next day informing me my order was expedited and the part had arrived on Tuesday. I returned and waited for Lorrie to cut and program the fob. 5 stars for service, 5 stars for quality, and 5 stars for price. Support your local business! I'll be using Artie's again. Ricky was honest, helpful and very professional. On the phone he quoted me $190 for a car key replacement copy. When he looked at the key, he said my key doesn't have a chip inside. Cause of that, it will only cost $9.99 for a car key without a chip. For the fob that has 3 buttons, it cost only $95. Such a relief to have found Arties! Special thanks to Ricky and Zono for fixing my Camry key so quick and promptly! After calling multiple locations, so many places trying to scam and charging 3-400$ for a simple key control replacements, it was a blessing to have come across a great business like Arties! I got my key fixed for $80, great quality as well. I will be coming back in the future, thanks again guy read more

Artie's Lock and Key - Quick car key battery replacement! And at a great price too, such a relief! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Fairfax, Virginia

I found a gem! Richie and Juan provided professional and speedy service. The metal part of one of my 2011 Honda Odyssey key fobs had fallen out of the cracked fob shell. I bought a replacement fob shell online and needed to have the key cut and the "guts" from my cracked key fob transferred into the new shell (no programming required). I had called another place prior to calling Artie's, and they quoted me $175 to cut and program. I told them I didn't need programming, just cut and gut transfer. They quoted me $140 for that! HOWEVER, Artie's quoted me $45 to cut and transfer the guts to the new shell. It took them no more than 10 minutes to take care of key fob. The shop is clean and professional, located in a nice outdoor mall. I highly recommend this place! read more

Needed to duplicate truck keys and program a new key FOB. Excellent and prompt service at a reasonable price. Kudos to Ricky for his help!

Ricky and Zono were outstanding. I lost a set of keys and at least needed them removed them from my car's system and possibly replaced. I spoke to ricky numerous times over a few days and he was always professional, courteous and pleasant to deal with. Although they are not convenient to my home, they will be the only locksmith that I take my business too. read more

5 stars. Sadly, I lost my car keys. I was desperately searching for affordable remote keys. I called various locksmiths in the area and they asking for $200 or more. Crazy! I called Artie's and they gave me a price that I was satisfied with. I saved a lot of money. I showed up to the shop and they cut, programmed the key, and got me out of there within 20 minutes. 5 stars. Affordable, fast, and efficient. read more

Worst service I have ever received! They took way longer to get here than what was said and want a bunch of info before actually helping I don't recommend them what so ever!!!! read more

This was my second time having keys copied at Artie's Lock and Key and I was very impressed with how quickly the job was done. Recently, I needed unit keys made for my new condo and learned Artie's Lock and Key was the only Locksmith in town that had the special template for this particular unit key. When I called to confirm this information, the store representative stated they did not have the template in the store, but he would call me when they arrived. Sure enough, I received a call less than a week later that the templates that would allow the locksmith to make the keys was in. I really appreciated the excellent customer service from the locksmith, and would gladly return for such great service! read more

Artie's is one of the few automotive locksmiths out in the Northern VA area that I would trust with my car. They were able to order, cut and program an OEM key from GM at substantially lower price than the dealership. The key and remote work perfectly and they have many other capabilities and keys available at their store. They have the full range of locksmith offerings and are true professionals in this field. read more

Ricky was fantastic from start to finish! He was prompt with his response to my online request, walked me through the process, programmed my new fob and cut my new key in a quick and timely manner. He was professional and polite. The dealer wanted to charge me $1,100. Arties literally saved me hundreds of dollars. Can't say enough good things about them! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Ricky saved me hundreds of dollars on my car key compared to the price offered by my car dealership. My remote car key fob locked itself in my car in my garage (which is supposed to be impossible) so I wanted an additional fob to keep at home in case I got locked out again. My dealer quoted me $600 for replacement fob plus programming. I called Artie's to see if they were less expensive. Rick suggested a much cheaper option than replacing the entire fob. He said there was a spare key inside my fob that could open the outside car door, and for $50 he could make a copy of that key to keep at home. It wouldn't start the car but it would unlock the door which was perfect for my needs. So he saved me $550. read more

We broke our tule cargo key and Artie saved us. They went above and beyond to help us. Being from Canada we did not know where to turn. Tule's website said it would take months to get a replacement key. Luckily we stumbled across Artie's and they got us a replacement key in minutes. Best customer service we have had in awhile. Thanks Artie read more

I got a car key with remote cut and programed for my 2008 Toyota - half the price of the dealer. Service was quick, very very polite, and accurate. Took the locksmith a couple tries to get everything working perfectly, he had to change to an OEM blank, but it was all really quick and friendly. Highly recommend. read more

Best customer service gave me a few key options. Got the best one I could get. Good price very quick

Had 6 deadbolts re-keyed, but 1 started malfunctioning after a few uses. Called Artie's and told them what was going on. They happily made an appointment at my convenience. Bob came to the house as scheduled and made short work of it. Works great now! This company stood by their word. They promptly and cheerfully made things right when called. Any future locksmithing I need will go to one company alone, Artie's. Thank you folks for having integrity at a time when it seems to be in short supply! read more

My wife and I are away on vacation and have some work being done on our house while gone. Our contractor locked himself out (of course) and Artie's came to the rescue. Ricky was easy to work with, got a locksmith to the property within 4 hours and was very communicative. I really appreciated that Ricky followed up the next day before charging our card to ensure satisfaction. I highly recommend for your residential needs! Also very reasonably priced. read more

My car key broke, and my first reaction was to call the dealership, who were charging me an outrageous amount to cut and program the key. Like many, I was distressed and googled "locksmiths near me" and upon reading all the positive reviews on Artie's I decided to give them a try. This morning I stopped by, explained my situation to the gentleman there, and said he could get it cut and program for $75. I instantly became their customer. When he finished cutting and programming the key, he came out to my car and tested it to make sure it worked. All this took 10-15 minutes to get done. This has been one of the best experiences I've had at any locksmith. Thank you Artie's!!! :) read more

This is my first impression and visit to the shop. It is very clean. There are comfortable areas to sit while waiting for service. The person who tended to me was very helpful, and provided a chock-full of information regarding keys and the wide range of varieties they are able to work on. The actual key-copying process did not take long, and the price was very affordable. The choice of keys to use are attractive as well. A great plus is that COVID-19 protocols were met with very hygienic practices in the shop. I definitely felt assured that this lock and key place is the best in town. I've heard they have been around for a long time, and many others in the community have already been. I'm glad I followed suit. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Ricky. He was very patient and kind. Knowledgeable and went out of his way to assist me. A woman! Not knowing a thing. I had lost my spare car keys with the remote to unlock car. I only had one key to open and start the car. The other key wouldn't unlock the doors but would start the car. He was a genius and put it all together for me so now I have two fully operating sets and saved me a ton of money. He was very busy that day and knew how to handle it and never made me feel rushed but was able to also help the other customers so that they did not have to wait. I will spread the word about Arties and wish there were more people like Ricky. I'm sure he deserves to be paid much more than he is and if I were his boss I would do anything to keep him on staff! Thank you Ricky! read more

I took the key from my 2008 Subaru Forester to had it reproduced. It isn't the newer kind with a chip, just an old fashioned steel key. The gentlemen who helped me, really gave it their all, and walked to the car to help me test it, even insisting that I start the car with it. I hadn't thought of that. It took a bit of effort, but they got it 100% right for way cheaper than the dealer would have charged me. Thanks guys! read more

Ricky was thorough and helpful when I need a duplicate key for my car. And fast! Soooo much more affordable than the dealership, but in addition he provided information about the key/lock in case I should ever find myself without a key again. Great experience at Artie's. I needed to make extra copies of my condo keys and had a hard time finding a locksmith that could do it. Apparently, it was an oddly shaped blank and I had no luck with several other locksmiths. Finally, one of the locksmiths recommended Artie's. I called them and the guy on the phone was friendly and attentive. He asked me to text him a photo of the key, and when I did, he promptly confirmed that they could indeed replicate it and provided all the necessary info - hours of operation, driving details, etc. Super helpful and courteous. It took less than five minutes to get it all done. A very happy customer here. read more
