Smells terrible when you walk in, that should've been a sign... but yet we stayed. Restarant was dead, we sat at the bar. Our server was too busy making jokes with 6 or 7 other employees so we sat without drinks and food for at least 20 minutes. Didn't end up ordering food, we were too afraid to. The entire group of employees appeared high and were having a lot of fun, without a care in the world. May be a fun place to "work", but not eat. read more

My experience was pricey and everything is extra. The food ranged from just ok to pretty good. The restaurant is nicely decorated but very empty. My daughter asked for lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream in her kids burrito and that added $8 to the price. The sweet waitress was understanding at my shock when I got the bill & took off the extra charges however with a 20% tip dinner out for my 2 daughters and I was over $65. 2 adult entrees, 1 kids meal, 1 kids drink, two ice waters & some queso. read more

The food was out right terrible. Lets start with the salsa it was just tomatoe sauce, it had no flavor and just a red sauce, I ask the server about the salsa she said it is just the tomatoes juice nothing else, YUCK, and the chip plates were dirty. That should of been my first red flag, I orderted tamales and they were hard and like rubber, the rice was just a scoop of yellow rice ( no flavor) the refried beans were like mush ( no flavor). I complained i was told (It is fine). I. said i do not want it and she said the food is fine the 2nd order at our table same thing the food was below subpar, and the order was wrong I said something I was told ok, that was the last time i saw any type of server, there were 3 more people in our party and their food was not eaten either. all the order was wrong and food was terrible. I had to hunt someone down for more water and a spoon and hot sauce. NO ONE ever checked on our table . When it came time to pay I had to argue about the total they refused to remove the wrong orders during the course of our meal. ( I tracked the server down as the night went on and complained about those orders she said food is fine) OMG really....and all 5 meals were terrible and left uneaten, Anyway I ended paying for 3 of the combo meals. I tried this restaurant during my year living in Stuart and it quickly became a constant place to eat. I'd recommend trying the Carne asada and the tortilla soup. My favorite place in the area with good food and a good vibe. read more

Since living in Florida, my standard for a "good" traditional Mexican food has drastically come down. Mr Jalapeño was probably the worse I've had so far. In California, it was tradition for my wife and I to enjoy Taco Tuesday at any of our local taco shops. We decided to give Mr Jalapeño a try. It was terrible! There was nothing traditional about them. The lettuce was actually salad mix, the tortilla taste store bought, and the meat was extremely dry ( chicken and pork). Worse $21 I ever spent. My favorite for Spanish eats. Every time I go there I imagine my grandmother or grandfather back in the kitchen cooking old school recipes. Many dishes are homemade. I'm not latin , but the food takes me to a comfortable place. Staff is always friendly and professional. Would give more stars but 5 is limit. read more

We always enjoy the meals here. The food is authentic, at least to us non-Mexicans, and the service is friendly and attentive. We eat here at least 3 times a month (except when it's raining, because we bring our dog so we must sit outside). We've been coming here for years. Very pretty inside. Salsa was blah but everything else was awesome. Just ask for some chipotle spicy sauce and you're set. Had the Elote it was fantastic, brings me back to my Texas childhood. Chimichanga was packed with well cooked meat and not skimpy on the sides either. Service was prompt and kind, very good. read more

The best Mexican cod aye here in Stuart. Ate there and also had delivered. Both excellent. Everything freshly made. We had carnitas steak delivered tonight since we just got a new puppy. With the steak cam sautéed onions refried beans fluffy rice guacamole and freshly cut piccidal tomatoes delicious. Everything cooked to perfection. We also had an order of Mexican corn. Oh my gosh the best. For dessert we had chorizo. Made fresh there served with delicious ice cream and whipped cream and if desired Carmel sauce. They have a full time bar with of course great margaritas. Restaurant redone beautifully. We enjoyed eating there and home. Thee was nothing missing with the delivery which generally most restaurants forget something or it has been sloped in a box. These dinners were perfectly boxed and wrapped. Even the ice cream was still cold. I give them a 10 and really hope they're do well. They are awesome read more

We had dinner here last night. It was quite delicious. of note the Veggie quesadilla was very fresh, no frozen rehydrated spinach here. Lovely fresh spinach, mushrooms, tomato etc... The queso was very good as well and served in a tortilla shell which was a nice presentation and tasty as well. The red salsa wasn't our favorite but the tomatillo salad made up for it. read more

Ehhh. Was looking for some nachos after bowling and looked up Mexican on my phone, lo and behold, this place was in the same shopping plaza! 4.5 stars, let's check it out! Inside is cute, needs some art work or something on the walls, quite a few dirty tables which was surprising due to Covid and a bunch of staff sitting at a table talking or on their phones. Should known then. This was Saturday evening around 6:30 and not too many tables were occupied. Service was slowwww, had to ask for many items like water, salsa refill, another beer. Hate that. Food was just ok. Nothing special. Beer was good and cold and 2-4-1 so at least that was good. Left underwhelmed, especially after noting tables being sat right next to each other and many staff members without masks. Won't be back. read more

If you're looking for an authentic, amazing Mexican meal, look no further. This really is the best kept secret in Stuart. We had delicious fajitas Paradillas with seasoned Mahi, shrimp, scallops, chicken and steak-heavenly! The salsa is fresh and spicy! The tortillas are also fresh and taste home made. The margaritas!!!! I enjoyed the Texas margarita myself while my mother chose a mojito that I simply had to try! The food came out fast except the fajitas didn't come with the tortillas after 10 minutes of waiting we finally got up went inside to find out where they were. With a new name and new owners this went from Stuart's worst to Stuart's best. I have eaten here at least 4 times and each time seems to get even better. Make sure you ask for the green salsa, so good, spicy and flavorful! I always get the beef tacos but next time I'm trying the fajita burrito. The nachos looked amazing! The iced tea is excellent. Really good food and great service. Ask for Daisy. She's the best! Bartenders, chefs and wait staff all client focused. Food is really pretty good. Corn tortillas hand made and street tacos are authentic with fresh cilantro and onion and a homemade tomatillo salsa with a nice kick. Nice choice of tequila and bartender very helpful in explaining options. Only negative comment is that staff are not consistent in Covid 19 protocols like wearing masks and doubling down in sanitizer but they are trying. Solid 4+ rating. read more

Very very good food,service and prices. However the atmosphere was bad, mainly because of the lighting. Please change out those blue bright led lights . Go to Home Dep Or Lowes and try out some different light bulbs to see what looks best. you can bring back what you do not use .That would be a good cheap fix But everything else was a 5 star read more

The food was only mediocre, it definitely could have been better. i ordered a side of queso which was labeled as $6.99 (which in and of itself is a lot of money for a side) and then didn't bring it out with our food. so i asked her to bring it and she asked me "oh okay do you want shredded cheese or like melted?" and i responded "uhhh, melted? i ordered queso." and she brings me the tiniest bowl of melted shredded cheese instead. thankfully she only charged me for shredded cheese which was $1.50, but again, that's not what i ordered. and on top of that, when we first sat down our waitress told us that ALL margaritas, wine, and mixed drinks were buy one get one free, we get out checks and my friend sees that she was charged for two margaritas. A different waitress came and we told her that it was wrong and she told us that it was only HOUSE margaritas that were buy one get one free. Their staff is apparently incompetent and they don't know how to communicate very well with their guests. I know that I will probably never come back here. read more
