Before I dig in, my first recommendation is to update your online menu to reflect your actual menu, some people will choose your restaurant on it. Now, the salsa is horrible, it's almost like marinara in both consistency and taste, entirely awful. The drinks are overpriced for what little you get and low quality they are. The food selection is, meh, the online menu has choices that seemed exciting but the actual menu had nothing at all. When I asked about cochinita pibil, losted on the online menu, the waiter asked if that was something Puerto Rican? What in the actual flying spaghetti monster?!?! You're supposed to be an authentic Mexican restaurant? The decor/ambiance was typical of what I call Mickey Mouse Mexican restaurant, it's great to amuse the eyes of the typical white suburbanite, much like how the drinks and food are made, to cater the bland tastes of dullards who have never had authentic Mexican food. My husband wanted to go somewhere for Taco Tuesday yesterday and we told ourselves that we would branch out of our regular spots because, while they are all good, we want to find something better. Unfortunately, neither one of us were impressed here. First, I was taken back at the prices, which are all higher in the menu at the restaurant than they are on their website. Also, since the menu has changed, they removed on of the dishes I wanted to try. Literally every question I had for our server, he was I able to answer and had to go ask someone else. They also don't have any Taco Tuesday specials and a plate of tacos rolls in at around $18-$25 for 3 small street taco style tacos. I opted for the Mahi since they didn't have any vegetable taco options and I didn't want to confuse our server any more. My husband got the Barria and said it tasted funny. Also, the complementary chips were stale. Overall, we will move on to a different Mexican place next. While it wasn't terrible, I wasn't impressed after spending a good $60 on dinner. read more

We really enjoyed eating at Mr. Jalepeno (and loved the name of the restaurant tbh). It was a rainy rainy Friday night so it wasn't busy at all when we came in. We were helped quickly and the girls working were very friendly. The chips and salsa came quickly, the salsa was really very mild, surprisingly so. I ordered queso as well and that was delicious. Again, very mild but I liked it regardless. I ordered steak fajitas and they were really tasty! The food tasted hot and fresh. My mom got the chipotle burrito and she said the sauce was pretty spicy and she liked it. It was huuuuge, definitely big enough to take for leftovers if you wanted. Diet Pepsi, which is sad. Our family (6) stopped there Tuesday and ate. It was very good. Even the kids who are picking eaters liked their food. This was our 3rd time over the last several months going there and I can attest that the food is consistently delicious. (Added bonus- the margaritas are great!) We loved this place. We drove up from Jupiter after hearing that they had live music, something you don't get in the Mexican restaurants in West Palm. We arrived at 7 and were promptly seated the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We ordered appetizers and margaritas to start. We received chips and salsa and loved it all. The margarita was made perfectly not like some of the ones you have that are overly sweet. We ordered a whole fish and vegetarian enchiladas . By the time we were leaving they had a DJ and people dancing outside. I loved this place and will return. My one complaint would be that the salsa was made w no spice, all tomato and corn. read more

My Chille Rellanos were great, needed to pour a little of the hotter salsa verde to give them a kick. Surprisingly, the refried beans were also so good I ate them all! As regular guests at Mr. Jalapeños we enjoyed visiting at least once or twice a month and often brought friends and family for the last 3 years. Our bills were usually often over $200 per visit. Because of this our family often purchased gift certificates for Christmas or anniversaries. The last time we visited a week ago we brought one of those gift certificates. Upon arriving we notice the decor was slightly changed with new booths and tables, however the murals, lamps and other decor remained as they had been last time we visited. We chose a booth by a window as we listened to the softly playing Spanish music. Our waitress Arrived and greeted a bit cool and almost annoyed to be interrupted. Being a Spanish speaker I thought speaking in Spanish would warm her up to our visit. She warmed up slightly but not much. We asked if the restaurant had changed ownership or management. She said no we are owned by the same people. Upon trying their salsa we realized they were not the same as before, which was obviously been dumped out of a bottle and not their traditional fresh made salsa. When she returned we asked if she could bring us a pico de gallo and a guacamole. We ordered our drinks, two margaritas, and our entrees. We enjoyed the generous portions and ended up taking left overs home. When we went to pay we added our gift certificate. With our credit card. When the waitress returned she opened the bill seeing the certificate for $50 saying " I can't accept this. "This is old and we are under new ownership." What?! You just told us that you're still under the same owners! No, this manager no longer works here so we can't accept it. You didn't tell me you had a gift certificate?! Your menu doesn't say we should let you know before we order nor is it posted anywhere. Then please let us speak with the new manager? No We don't have a manager here tonight. Then we will speak with the chef? He can't come out here but I'll go tell him. She slowly walked to the kitchen and we knew what she would say. No they did not accept it and we had another gift for $50 sitting at home. Theses were gift we received in December for Christmas and January for our anniversary. Came in around 6:30pm with my daughter for dinner on a Thursday evening and it was very quite. Service was on top of everything as if they were a little bored, however they were great! Started with my daughters mango kids margarita, in which she loved! My Corazon cadi was delicious as well. My daughter of course ordered a cheeseburger kids meal. She said she liked McDonald's better because it had pickles lol, but I said that why you don't get American food at a Mexican restaurant baby however she did end up eating mostly all of it! I stopped in for a drink to check the place out. There was a sign outside that said Happy Hour on it and it was about 4:00 when I walked in. There was only one other person there sitting at the bar and all the tables were empty. I sat down and what looked like a manager or something came up and asked if I needed anything and said the bartender would be right back. I asked for a menu and asked if what was on happy hour. The manager said to be, "nothing really". I see why the place is empty. If the management doesn't care about customers then why should the staff. I just left without ordering anything. I figure, if that little effort is put into the customer experience the same effort is probably put into cooking and cleaning the place and I really didn't feel like spending my money in a place like that. We used to be regulars. Today we went for lunch and we're very rudely refused service due to my service dog. She always preforms in a professional manner and was clean and clearly marked. When we walked in they told us that they couldn't seat us with our dog. I explained that she was a service dog and the man behind that counter told me that it was the owners rules and that he wouldn't seat us. I told him that legally he couldn't refuse us service because of my dog. We then walked out. We've had her every time we have eaten here in the past. AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD!!! So so so good. The service was great. Fast, friendly, helpful. They were all wearing masks. The patio is available for seating with a lot of space and so is the inside. Everything was very clean. We had the corn as an appetizer and we absolutely recommend it!! The spices were top notch and the roast on the corn was perfect.
