There's not enough to say about this place--it's such an incredible hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. I also loved the vibe and design of the restaurant. It has such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The food tasted like authentic Mexican cuisine, and you could tell everything was made with care. The tacos were absolutely delicious, and every meat was packed with flavor. I ordered the chorizo, carne asada, and al pastor tacos, and I honestly recommend all three. My husband ordered the burrito and really enjoyed it, but even he admitted the tacos stole the show! They also bring out complimentary chips with three different dips, and they were all amazing. Pairing the tacos with a passion fruit Jarritos was the perfect combination. The prices are very affordable, especially for the quality of the food. We loved everything about our experience and will definitely be back! read more

Went for Mexican food tonight and that's what I found in this little place. My waitress was very sweet and attentive. The place is just a little Mexican restaurant, no frills at all. The food was delicious, had the shrimp. I will definitely return, remembering that this place is cash only. If you want Mexican then this is definitely the place to go. read more

Mexican We were out for the holiday shopping duties and were getting hungry - a quick Yelp search for Mexican gave us this option so we headed over as we were close. The place is easy to miss as it sits in a run down strip mall across from Crabby's in Port Salerno. Once we located it, we headed in. Trust me, this place is like a portal to south of the border. There was some loud music playing when we entered. The decor is interesting to say the least: A lot of Mexican references are scattered around: sombreros / flags on the wall and even more interestingly, a bunch of little Buddha shrines are situated all around the perimeter of the place. The tables are basic and there is nothing fancy about the restaurant proper. Girls working here do not speak English (at least on our trip ) but the menu is bi-lingual so you should be able to figure out what to eat and get it ordered. My basic Spanish was enough to overcome the language issue. The basket of tortilla chips was freshly made and they gave us three salsa styles to go with them. The salsa went from hot to WOW hot and all were good. Menu is comprehensive but not too large - they appear to be open for breakfast / lunch / dinner and most of the clientele that came and went appeared to be workers grabbing a meal. There is a decent selection of bottled beer available for those looking to wash down the food. Our selections came out in a good amount of time - I went with some chicken burritos and the wife had a carne asada dish. Both were fresh tasting and the portions were very large. Overall a very good experience. Of Note: they take CASH only - or Zelle if that works for you - so be prepared. I was not and had to run a few miles down the road to find an ATM. Parking in front and rear read more

New favorite here!!!! We are back in Florida and had to come here again. And to our surprise, it was open to walk in and we were greeted with a super kind waitress that spoke great English and Spanish. We were so happy because we could see the menu which changed our order. Luckily for you all, I snapped a few pix! We got the carne asada tacos which my husband loves! Very authentic and with that green salsa and grilled onions...yum! Carne asada quesadilla was outstanding! Cheesy, crispy, just so good. Paired with that red salsa and the salad...yep I want to go again. Refried beans were OK, I'm kind of in love with refried beans so these were lacking flavor and soupy but good enough. Rice is good, says my husband. Anyway, still cash only, but open for carry out or dine in. We came in to order carry out which only took a few minutes to prepare. We will definitely be back!!! read more

This is a great spot for tacos. They are packed with flavor and with each bite, I found myself enjoying that bite more than the last. Carne asada tacos were possibly my favorite, though it seems they are all good and you cannot go wrong with whatever you order. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for some great tacos. read more

Authentic taqueria. I only tried their tacos: pastor, chicharrón (pig skins), carne asada, barbacoa, y tripa (intestines). They are legit. They served me free chips and a selection of three sauces: two red and a green. They were all very hot! That's always a good sign. The corn tortillas are also legit. Thick and flavorful. Easy parking outside. No idea if they speak English. I didn't even try. But honestly, if they don't speak English it's just a great sign!! Let the authentic Mexican cook Mexican food. I recommend this place. read more

WOW!!! Without question the best quesadilla I have ever had. The tacos are only a close second to the quesadillas, and are both reasonably priced. Our favorite tacos are the chicharrón and al pastor. Ask for extra hot sauce if you like spicy because they are super tasty on top. My boyfriend and I order takeout from here every time we are in the mood for tacos. Stop paying for overpriced, mediocre Mexican food and stop in here-- just remember to bring cash! read more

I LOVE authentic Mexican food and have traveled the country sampling it everywhere I go. I don't speak Spanish, which is a slight barrier here, but I know the food and I know excellent tacos and salsas, which El Mariachi supplies! Rarely there'll be a server that speaks or at least understands english, so that just makes it that much easier. My regulars are 3 tacos, lots of the red salsa and a gordita. Yes, it is cash only. read more

Taqueria El Mariachi - Menudo, fresh chips with fresh sauces, and 2 of eat taco they serve!!!!! Delicious!!!!! - Mexican Near Me - Stuart, Florida

Best authentic tacos. Real authentic feel. This place should be packed. Its just not "fancy" like the generic fake american owned "mexican" chain places. This place is REAL. Feels like you re in mexico or costa rica or nicaragua or somewhere. Im so sick of these generic american Mexican restaurants owned by americans and who either exploit their Spanish staff or - maybe even worse - hire white bartenders or waitresses or know NOTHING about real Mexican / Spanish food. Is that rascist? Im a whiter than white British ex pat so i dont think so. If I go to a Spanish restaurant I want my food cooked by someone who has grown up eating and making it. If this place just spruced itself up a little bit, put a few more beer / wine / sangria offerings on the menu, i would say this could be the best REAL mexican place in Martin county. read more

Delicioso!! I'm so glad I found this place.. It's hard to find good food in this area specially ethnic food. I've move from Chicago a few months ago and living there I was spoiled with tons of good restaurants. I've eaten in all the Mexican restaurants in this area and it was a disappointed after another until I've found this Taqueria where the food is awesome they might not have a 'nice' Americanized Mexican decoration or a full bar with exotic drinks, instead they have good service, HANDMADE TORTILLAS, delicious tacos, quesadillas, tortas, enchiladas, etc and different types of Mexican beer. Enjoy it! read more

The best food I have ever had. I would recommend this to anyone who wants good food. The food was amazing.

I have been going here for 10 years. I think that the food is amazing. BEST TACOS. The place can use an update and the music is way too loud. The only issue I really have is that they over charge me every time I go in. This week my bill should have been $24.00 and they charged $32.00. I questioned them and they reduced it to $27.00. Paid that but did not tip. Not sure why they do this but you should ask for a detailed bill. I will still go back because it is that good. Five stars on the food and one star on the administration. read more

Chicken fajitas came with corn tortillas, which I prefer over flour. Carnitas and chorizo tacos were very good. The red salsa on the side was tasty but very hot! read more

This local spot needs to be on your "try soon" list! The food is simple, traditional and flavorful. The service was quick but lacked a little attentiveness, with our server forgetting a few key things like silverware and a side of rice and beans we ordered. Other than that it was truly a delicious authentic experience. The menu has its English translations underneath it's Spanish name for ease for those who don't speak the language. There's also a wonderful selection of Mexican sodas and beer. The cost is ideal for a quick lunch or even a large dinner and the portions are more than enough to fill even the hungriest of bellies. This will absolutely become one of our weekly must haves. read more

Have to go here if you want authentic Mexican food. If you try it once and get past the fact that there is not a fake, fancy ambiance, you will hooked on it as we have. This place rocks! Last time I was here they had $12 buckets of Modelo and of course the tacos are off the chain. I love the al pastor tacos. You can't go wrong. It is on Salerno right across the street from Getting Crabby. read more

I have been here several times since I work down in Salerno--it was recommended by a Hispanic coworker and all I can say is... WOW. I used to live fifteen minutes from Mexico and have traveled to TJ a few times, this restaurant reminds me of authentic Mexican food. It is absolutely delicious. While, I have only had the tacos and a single burrito, I'll say the burritos are "meh". It was a bit soggy, but alright. I had the carne asada burrito FYI. So far, I've had the shrimp, chicken and beef tacos and gosh! So motherwatering good! The tortillas are a bit small, but they put so much stuff on it that two should be enough to full you up. I only wish that they used more cheese on the tacos. read more

Great food great service authentic Mexican food great price very consistent love coming here

My beautician recommended the restaurant. I'm new to Florida. I relocated, southern .CA. I'VE TRIED different Mx food restaurants and was disappointed at what Floridians call Mx food. I'm glad I drove, the food is really good. The fresh water, melon, was delicious. It's home made I ordered tacos, carne asada, carnitas and fish. The salsas are home made. My waitress was attentive and very nice. I will be back. I recommend the testsurant. read more

very small and hometown feeling. but they do not give free chips and salsa which is my favorite part of mexican restaurants. also the menu is in spanish which is hard to understand for somebody non spanish speaking. all entres were around $17 which was a little pricey for how not fancy and what the food was. was not a horrible place though! read more

Just showed up to this place on a Wednesday at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and it was close and looked deserted. Was looking forward to it

I loved El Mariachi. Helpful, friendly service (but let's just say that it is a great place to practice your Spanish) and great food. We ordered a variety of tacos and a whole fish, fried. It was all very, very good. I will definitely return next time I am in the area. read more
