I have made many coworkers jealous through my constant ordering of taco shack. I have tried so many of their items over the years and they never fail to deliver hot, fresh, delicious tasting items. I mainly order them to go/delivery but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Food was decent but the service left me short of considering whether or not to come back. Waitress/bartender got half our order wrong and then proceeded to say that we must have not heard her explain things correctly. She charged us for extra sides and gave us a dry burrito. I already paid and wanted to note the mistakes. The thing is that she just came right before and apologized about taking our order incorrectly. I understand you made a mistake but then proceeding to forgetting that conversation and charging me for the extra side and telling me I'm wrong is not okay. Hope you guys can do better. read more

Food was fast, decent, and pretty inexpensive. Service was slow but it's nice to hang outside on the patio. Looks like their happy hour is pretty good so we will be back for that in the future. Standard carne asada taco was good although that green salsa is a weird texture and flavor. Chips are super good but the Queso is very powdery and not good. Salsa was ketchup style and guac was Ok but full of cilantro so not for me. I cannot recall the taco I got but it was solid minus the Queso between shells because it wasn't good. I've been coming here since they first opened, before they changed hands and expanded. Let me just say, the quality has declined. First, they've changed their tacos and the difference is clear. Their chicken is no longer shredded and seems to be old. The flavors are okay, just hit or miss honestly. The service is seriously lacking, the ambience isn't great either. There isn't enough room to sit anywhere. The prices are ridiculous for what you get. Their upstairs space is used for storage and it's just poorly optimized given how jam-packed the first floor is. It's not that great sitting and having someone standing next to you to place an order at the counter, or sitting 2 feet from another table and hearing their conversations. Back to the service- it is just downright bad. Everyone I've spoken with says the same- most waiters and waitresses stand around looking bored, give attitude, and seem like they hate their jobs. I wish I could say better things about this place but the quality of literally everything has tanked. I used to recommend taco shack as having the best tacos, but because I (and family and friends) have an issue every single time, I avoid this place now. Today, I ordered and was told the Yucatán is a taco and they will not make it into a burrito. I don't mind paying extra since it is larger than the taco but was still told no. I had a pork one too but can't remember the name, it had lots of shredded roasted pork it was also good. We had an avocado salad, whole avocado and crisp romaine with fried califlower. Chips were warm & fresh. The salsa was delicious! Carne asada, the meat was cooked well. It was tender but I prefer medium.
