I am a huge fan of yelp, rarely steers me wrong... but today was one of those days. This taco truck was absolutely disgusting. The windows on the front were completely caked in dirt, looks like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I mean I am talking a little windex would help. Really surprised the County health inspectors haven't shut this place down. They need to get out there and also check the restaurant connected to it. Totally unsanitary. The girl working in the truck seemed pleasant and nice,,, but she was handling cash and credit cards and then turning around and only putting a glove on one hand!!! A couple of times I saw her use the unloved hand to put cilantro and onions etc on peoples food!!! and this is during Covid!!! Come on, don't be a cheap skate,,, use two gloves when touch food directly, and especially after handling cash and not washing hands (in a truck!). And the food was terrible, so bad (see pics). I got a variety of tacos and the shrimp Burrito. Wanted to give this a good try. Tacos were tasteless, and half the meat was hard chunks of fat that were inedible. The burrito was even more disgusting (hard to believe), tasted like uncleaned coleslaw, and the bottom skunk water from a cheap can of black beans. Some really nasty rice was in there as well. I'm very critical when it comes to what makes a great "Taco". If Taco Bell comes out of your mouth... escort yourself off the premises. There are many factors to making an authentic taco. But I won't get into that right now lol. The Taco Truck... has to be one of my top Taco Spots! Now, every taco spot is different depending where "El Cocinero/a" is from. Some like soft corn tortillas, some a little harder. But they're both good in they're own way. The corn tortillas taste and feel homemade. When you take an already cooked tortilla and lightly toast them on a flat iron or "Comal" as we call it. It gives it a soft but light crunch. The meat was seasoned well and nothing tasted over cooked or dry. I had 2 Tacos of Carnitas, 2 of Tripas (Beef Intestine... which is really good if you haven't tried it) and 1 of Chorizo. And you can't enjoy it without an ice cold Sangria Señoral (Non-Alcohol) and a Jarritos. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. The only thing I didn't like is that the food bar is attached to the truck. Which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't feel eyes watching you as you ate. But other than that... I hate to say it but being from San Francisco I have a certain taste when it comes to Mexican food. Kind of like when a New Yorker goes anywhere outside NY and gets pizza then gets mad at it. Until now. Thank you Red Taco Truck. I have actually eaten three out of my last four meals here and could not wait to write this review. Meal #1, breakfast burrito, which is a monster. I later discovered at meal #2 that it's a Veg. burrito with eggs, and they are served all day. Every single ingredient had flavor even the tortilla. Yellow rice cooked perfect, so great. Cabbage, refried black beans, grill peppers, onions and pico de gallo all so tasty. Served with spicy salsa verde and tortilla chips made with real tortillas on the side. The burrito itself is assembled ON THE GRILL! Expert. Meal #2 Vegetarian Burrito. All the ingredients above and I added sour cream. The sour cream is actual crema, the kind that pours and doesn't require a spoon. Perfect. Everything was as tear jerking good as before. Now, they actually have Vegetarian Burrito listed on the menu. Which I personally find fantastic. Most places I have found I have to order a super B with no meat. Then there is a back and forth confirmation that I actually want a burrito with no meat that lasts about 3-4 exchanges or get a burrito filled with lettuce and carrots. Nice touch. Meal #3 Shrimp Tacos and Cheese Quesadilla. I was so excited to get my hands on these watching them being grilled up and I was not disappointed. The shrimp were cooked and flavored perfect. Mixed with onions, served with cilantro, lime and radishes. I was so happy to see radishes with tacos. I felt like I was home. There was no attempt to pair my seafood with grated cheese mix, a personal pet peeve. Again, great corn tortillas. To fill the cheese void I got the Quesadilla, served with pica de gallo and sour cream. Flour tortilla and cheese, mixing all the ingredients together, each bite so good. Soft melted authentic cheese with a crispy grilled tortilla. Terrific. The Red Taco Truck is not great by SF/California standards. It's great on a whole other level. read more

My wife has been asking me to stop at the taco truck and try out the food. We rode our bikes up there on Sunday for lunch and we're not disappointed. We only had empanadas, one pork and one chicken, in each was filled with tasty meat and covered and a delicious crispy pastry crust. The salsa Verde sauce accompanying the empanadas was delightful. Ordered 4 steak taco's with cheese and sour cream, 2 orders of rice and beans with chips and salsa and 2 cokes. Steak was cold and had no flavor (definitely not marinated as advertised), only two tacos had cheese, got the chips but no salsa, rice was plain yellow rice and both cokes were warm. The flavor of the chorizo taco was good, the al pastor was ok... was also missing the pinnaple it was supposed to have, and the carne asada was dry as a bone. Price is reasonable. We had devoured them by the time I could take pics. Martin County deputy was sitting there eating lunch carrying on a conversation with the owner. On the corner of A1A (Old Dixie hwy) and SE Iris St in Stuart, there is parked a truck, called, "The Taco Truck." My wife and I have been passing by this truck lately, but never stopping. Well, my wife surprised me and pulled in for a bite. I had the beef cheeks taco for $2... right, no misprint there....... It was so unbelievably delicious and came with a side of green sauce, just on the safe side of hot and some freshly made chips that were more like pita chips because they were folded over--very different, but equally as delicious. It was served on a soft tortilla, shredded lettuce, Cilantro, beautifully seasoned and some green sauce over a bed of shredded beef cheeks that were the most beautiful color brown it should be a named paint color... "Yes, I would like a gallon of beef check color paint please...." I have since been back to try other menu choices and lately, Ihave been favoring the shrimp tacos. They are really delicious. There were quite a few great looking dishes besides what I ordered and I will hopefully get through them all. Next to the truck is a tortilla store where they make just that, tortillas. After reading all the positive yelps and craving some good Mexican food I decided to stop there and get the breakfast burrito, which is the size of a small baby, filled with flavor and just amazing. It took me about 21/2 hours to finish it but you bet I did! I pass this truck on my way home from the gym everyday so after a run the next day I stopped to pick up my husband a vegetarian burrito. I figured I'd just have some yogurt for lunch (yeah right!). Of course I had to have a few bites and just as I thought, amazing, that rice, the tortilla, how do they get those flavors? I was introduced to this great food truck by my coworkers. I wish I had stopped there before today! The food was delicious! The truck is well maintained and the food is fresh and authentic. The owner is warm, welcoming and passionate about her food. I had two tacos: the chorizo and the shredded beef, each for under $2. They were loaded with meat, cilantro, little bit of lettuce, radishes with the chorizo and onions with the beef. I am not kidding when I tell you that both were excellent but the beef was the best taco I have had in years!!
