I was referred to them through another company when I was looking for someone to look at my dishwasher, which was making whistling noises during the wash cycle. They were very responsive and communicated with us clearly when they were going to arrive. The guy that came was very nice, I appreciate that he wore a mask and let us know he was vaccinated without us asking. He asked us questions about what was happening with the dishwasher and explained to us what was happening. I appreciate that he didn't try to sell us expensive repairs. In the long term, the issue was not fixable (the parts are no longer available) but they gave us some other solutions to work around it. They were definitely fair with pricing. They were great and I will definitely be reaching out again. read more

Met Nas via the Angi and Lowe's installation program. He was communicative, on time, and fixed my appliance quickly like magic! Shared his information with the whole building, he'll be my go-to! read more

Our bathroom toilet tank overflowed and we needed to have it fixed. After searching on Yelp I found Mr. FIXER nYC. I communicated with Nas and he gave me a reasonable price. We scheduled a convenient time for my schedule. I explained that I had already ordered a Flushmaster repair kit from Amazon so he priced me $180 for the labor, which is reasonable and he stands behind his services. He and Kenyatta came and replaced the parts within my toilet tank, in no time. They cleaned up behind themselves. Now my toilet is flushing and filling up correctly. Thanks Nas and Kenyatta for a great job done! I am very happy with your work and I would definitely recommend you and use you again for future repairs. Read the other yelp reviews--thats what convinced me that they do great work. read more

Mr. Fixer is a phenomenal handyman service ran by 2 great guys. Nas and Kenyatta really know what they are talking about when they came to give me an estimate of the things I wanted to get done. I was impressed in the pride and dedication that they took in installing the light fixtures, as well and the careful attention to detail taken with not only the installation of 2 chandeliers but all of the small tasks I asked them to take care of (which included hanging a very heavy mirror, hiding tv/cable wires behind the wall, mounting and hanging several pieces of art work). I would highly recommend this team to anyone that is in need of a handyman. I am most certainly going to have Mr. Fixer NYC coming back to my home to handle additional jobs. I am extremely impressed with their professionalism, work ethic, punctuality, and it's an awesome plus that they are 2 rather humorous guys with outstanding personalities! read more

If you want something fixed, don't call Mr. Fixer. I spent a lot of money to have a switch on a timer installed. It has never worked and all I got was a run around when I tried to get it resolved. I now have to hire another electrician to replace it. Buyer beware! read more

They removed a cabinet and installed a a dishwasher, completely from the ground up tapping into new connections and dealing everything up flawlessly. They were also very professional and asked before they did anything that would possibly damage or alter anything in my home. I recommend them & will definitely use them again in the future. I've hired Mr. Fixer NYC to do several jobs for my elderly parents and they always do outstanding work! The two repairmen, Nas and Kenyatta, are courteous, patient, professional, highly skilled and a pleasure to work with! This time around we needed them to replace the electrical outlets in one bedroom and install a new ceiling light fixture in the basement. Nas went to Home Depot to get the fixture. HD didn't have exactly what we wanted, so Nas called us up from the store and made a recommendation on an LED fixture that turned out to be a significant improvement over our old one. When it came to replacing the electrical outlets in the bedroom, not only did they do a great job on the installation, but they took the time to setup and reboot my parents VOIP phone, which had stopped working when the outlets blew. They also went out of their way to do some wire management on all of the plugs and extension cords coming out of the computer, monitor, modems, etc. They transformed it from a spaghetti mess of wires to a beautiful, streamlined cable wiring setup. The next time we have work to be done around the house we will be calling Mr. Fixer NYC. Thank guys!! read more

I used them a few years ago and they did poor work from painting to tiling. Plus they are overpriced and they make you sign a contract with no local address so in other words you cannot sue them for their poor work. These two guys are crooks and prey on single females with their overpricing but Karma is a bitch and they will pay sooner or later. Do not hire them. read more

was waiting for 2 weeks for a simple job to close a whole in a shower wall Job done so poorly Wonder board installed over existing tiles with wholes left about one inch along two sides walls and tiles Was pressed to pay between $250 to $350 even these job was covered by HomeServe insurance Three screw was placed to holed crooked wonder board that almost killed my pipes Drainage was not covered Pieces with cement clogged the drainage Garbage has not been removed Use other company for your repairs read more

Yatta and Nas set the gold standard for handyman services. While Yatta and Nas are both knowledgeable, reasonable, and helpful individuals, it is their professionalism that separates them from any remote competition. Today, Yatta and Nas completed their third project at my apartment. Last year, they repaired a broken dishwasher and replaced a broken faucet. Both are working in excellent condition over a year later. When I noticed my sink was leaking last week, I knew exactly who to call to get the job done: Yatta and Nas. On all three jobs, these two men have completed high-quality work. In addition to exceptional performance, Yatta and Nas walked me through the basics of what they were doing, and gave me tips on how to properly maintain my fixtures. During the job, they're great guys to talk to, and are both friendly and customer-service oriented. I would recommend Yatta and Nas to anyone for handyman services. Actually, I'd recommend them for just about anything. Save yourself the trouble; just call these guys. read more

Nice guys but found them to be over priced, more so then a most licensed contractors and they also wanted a waiver signed stating they are not responsible for their work. At least with a licensed contractor you have some sortbof protection. They get 1 star for being prompt and the other because I really liked them but not their prices or their contract. read more

Being a new homeowner I found myself needing help, not just with the small tasks such as hanging mailboxes on my brick building or adding flood lights to my back yard but for remodeling bedrooms and building more closets. The guys were so helpful, honest, and thorough. read more

Mr Fixer NYC - Nice work - Plumbing Near Me

I have been searching for help with getting a number of projects done in my home. The most immediate need was for electrical work . Nas came to my home and explained the process to me in detail as well as the cost for the work, which was very reasonable. They changed switches and updated 15 volt to 20 volt to manage additional electrical load. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I had an additional issues with some outlets which Nas and Kenyatta took address. I couldn't be more pleased with their work. I have additional work to be done in my home for which I will definitely be contacting Mr. Fixer. It is comforting to find a company I can trust and have confidence in the work they do. I wholeheartedly recommend them. Sandra B. read more

Called Mr Fixer because my washer/dryer tripped the circuit breaker. I spoke to Nas who was very pleasant and professional on the phone. He arrived as scheduled & talked me thru their process. There was a charge for diagnostics of approx. $200 which is rolled into the cost of the repair. I have to say that their service is NOT cheap but they work quickly, they are clean and they educate you about what's going on in your house. I would use them again because I'd rather pay and have the work done the right way. read more

I got a leaking pipe in my ceiling and pipes design at my home is really complicated. Before I had Nas and Kenyatta to come to help, I tried to find many other handymen, but when I send them pictures of my pipes, they never respond to me. Only Nas and Kenyatta didn't say anything and come, of course, they nailed it! After 5 hours work, they even stay late to make sure everything is alright. I definitely will recommend them. read more

Mr. Fixer was a great find! Nas and Kenyata were professional, prompt, and even saved us some money when we all realized that the job we thought we wanted was prohibitively expensive and suggested an equally viable but much less pricey alternative. Being very busy, I especially appreciated that they gave us a particular time frame in which they would arrive and kept us updated so that we would be able to plan. It is good to know that this type of service is available in our area (Great Neck, just east of Little Neck Parkway) and I would gladly use Nas and Kenyata again. read more

I hired Mr. Fixer to install a new A/C unit in a 4th-story window that was extra-wide. The handyman happened to be in the neighborhood before our appointment, so we ended up connecting early. He's friendly, personable, and quick. Purchased some additional materials I'd specified that he ended up not needing, but didn't charge me for my mistake. Excellent service. read more

I had a great experience with Naseem and couldn't recommend him more highly. I had initially just asked him to fill in some holes in my drywall, and when I offhandedly mentioned that the handle on my toilet was loose, he went down to his van to get the exact piece of equipment he needed to fix it (he carries extra bolts and other supplies for this sort of situation -- so prepared!). He was friendly, timely, professional, and did an excellent job. I'll absolutely be hiring him again the next time I'm in need of a handyman. read more

These guys are rockstar. Nasir was able to diagnose why my machine was not working, he was fantastic!! Extremely knowledgeable of his work. I will be calling back again to do more work!! Thanks so much!! read more

Update: Nas was able to order the part we needed (for free!) and came back to install it at his earliest available appointment. He took extra time to adjust the water temperature to our desired temperature, which means we can finally take extra hot showers for those frigid days! We definitely appreciate Nas's honesty and accommodations through the entire ordeal. He even ordered an extra part of the shower for us (free again!) that he didn't end up using, so we have a back up for the next catastrophe that happens. We are already recommending him to our friends for their future apartment issues! read more

Though there were some issues with timing, and delivery of parts for the multi-visit repair of my washing machine, Nas and Kenyatta were stand up guys. I had Mr. Fixer, Nas and Kenyatta back to install kitchen cabinets and put up a shelf. The did great! Required cutting butcher block for countertop and installing on counter. Also, level shelf is perfect for my dolls! And they clean up after the job. Love these guys. I'll use again. read more

I first hired Nas and Kenyatta through Amazon when I purchased a huge swing/slide play set. When I made the purchase of the out door play set, I was given the option to have it assembled for an extra fee. Knowing how big this play set was I paid for the set up. These guys were great and assembled the entire set. I was so impressed with them that I decided to hire them again for some patch work and indoor painting. This is were I only give the 3 stars. So, initially they came to my house and looked over what needed to be done, then a work slip was created with the description and cost of the job. A date was scheduled, however, I had to cancel and I rescheduled a few months later. Then the date came for the job to be done. Only Kenyatta showed up because Nas had to tend to another job. Fine, no problem, as long as job gets done. The job took him a bit longer than anticipated for me...I understand it was only one guy doing job and might take longer. So now its the following day and both show up, and not as early as job was suppose to start. Nas could not find the original order slip and good thing I had mine. I honestly felt that the job would have went smoother if we would have spoken on the phone prior to the appointment to go over what had to be done and how much time it would take. Honestly for the money I paid, which was over $1000, the job was not as clean as I had hoped. Everything seemed rushed on their end and not perfect. Again for what I paid, Yes, I expected perfection. To this date I still have one room that has not been finished painted. I expressed my concerns to Nas and he did apologize but just left me not happy. Kenyatta is the sweetest person and I feel bad even writing this, I just want for anyone who does hire for painting, that they get the service they pay for. read more

Nas and Yatta are the best handymen in the city hands down! I called panicking about a clogged bathtub and they were so accommodating. Yatta came the same day. I couldn't stay at the apartment so he sent me a video of the work when he finished and called me when I was available to follow up and give me tips to maintain my drain. He left the bathroom spotless and also cleaned my bathtub! Extremely professional, friendly, and easy to work with. Wouldn't hesitate to call them again for anything. read more

I was so happy with Mr Fixer NYC's service. I've had them come twice to set up some furniture and install what turned out to be a rather complicated curtain system to create a bedroom in my studio. Wonderful! I hired him to fix a leak I've had in my bathtub for months. He did a great job and also fixed a broken window I had (the pressure balance was off); after he fixed our leak, I asked him to take a look at the window so that we could make another appointment for the future, but he was able to just fix it there and then. It was amazing to be able to kill two birds with one stone. 10/10, highly recommend. read more
