Mr Dumpling - Beef Brisket Noodles - Dim Sum Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

Came here for father's day after hearing that they make some of the best Dumplings in town. Left full and blown away. Im a total dumpling head and somehow didnt know this place existed. Its tucked away in a weird spot but parking was no issue and we could smell the food as soon as we got out of the car even though we were still a ways off from the door. The inside has a semi industrial look with 20 foot high ceilings. There is a lot of wall art, much of which is dumpling themed. Its clean and relaxing with a few random tvs in case you want to watch the game. The Dumplings are all home made, fresh and juicy. We got the pork Dumplings which were very dense with a rich flavor and the shrimp and chive ones which were much lighter in texture and very delicious. We had a wonderful dinner and this will be a family staple moving forward. read more

Went to go get a quick bite to eat and was very impressed with our food it came out fairly quick and was very delicious.

I'm always on the hunt for good quality, extra flavorful dumplings of all varieties. Steamed, boiled, pan fried. I'm an equal opportunity dumpling lover. And Mr. Dumpling delivered, I'm happy to say. I've been to China, lived in NYC and ambiance and service are no indicators of the quality of dumpling. In fact often the nicer the place the less authentic the dumpling. However this place seemed to strike the right balance. I always start with wontons in spicy oil as a measurement. These were plentiful in filling and spice. Followed it up with some pan fried soup dumplings. These were good, but they were a lot bigger than I was anticipating. They are not a small dumpling. I think if I were to do pan fried again, I might do a different dumpling. But the filling was delicious. I was there for lunch so I didn't get a lot to eat. Looking forward to going back and trying more. read more

I love Mr. Dumpling! Service is always top notch, and the food is consistently delicious! A recent lunch consisted of Wontons in Chili Oil (delicious, and very meaty!) and some pan-fried Pork Bao zi (wonderful, and a very generous filling in them). The bao zi were so hot, I had to let them cool a bit! read more

I dropped in to try Mr Dumpling as friends had recommended. I was sure what I wanted. I chose Wanton Noodle soup. They had wanton soup and I asked for noodles to be added. The wanton soup was $10.00 and the addition of noodles was $4.00. So it totaled at $14.00. A good price for a large bowl of soup. I got my order reasonably quickly and it was delicious. Not to salty as I have noticed in other establishments. Very delicious and a large number of wantons. They had a tray with condiments to choose from and I chose garlic chili oil. I place the oil on the plate and dipped my wontons in it. It was so good! I will be back and I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Food was really good service was good, good clean environment not too loud or anything !

Had it delivered and it was great! The wontons in chili oil were delicious. Also really liked the bao with curried chicken.

Everything was so good! The chili oil wontons have a yummy flavor with some slight spice but not too spicy which was perfect for me! We also got the pork bao dumplings, the shrimp fried rice, and Kung pao chicken, and pork wonton soup . It was all great. Definitely eat here when in Eugene. read more

Wow! I'm usually VERY picky about my Schezuan Chinese food and this was a solid offering! Julie and I needed a quick late lunch out on Good Pasture Island Road and are tired of the options at Valley River and decided to check out Mr Dumpling. First impression, the place was clean and quiet. Staff were really nice. Everything came quickly and was plated nicely. So far, so good! We ordered an order of Pan-fried Pork Bao Zi (6), Dan Dan Noodles, and Kung Pao Chicken. The bao were fluffy with a nice amount of filling. They had soy sauce and hot chili oil as expected and also black vinegar which was very tasty with the bao. Dan Dan Noodles had nice flavor as well as a pile of fresh veggies. Very tasty. Kung Pao Chicken had a great sauce wigh lots of fresh veggies. Overall, an enjoyable lunch. We'll certainly be back! read more

Mr Dumplings has quickly become one of our favorite food spots in Eugene! So many options but our favorites are hands down the soup dumplings! They are delicious and always hit the spot. Every noodle dish we tried are comforting and perfectly cooked. My newest fave has to be the chicken curry bao bao though!! Which is surprising because I'm not a huge fan of curry! They are amazing! Make sure you get the chili oil dip for them! Beyond the food, the staff here is exceptional. Everyone is super friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience and you can see how passionate they are about every dish! Great food, great service, great atmosphere. read more

Food is great, the atmosphere is clean, and the staff is helpful and kind. My bestie and I got the brisket pho, pineapple/shrimp fried rice, and the scallion pancakes. Great, shareable portions, and delicious! We were so full and still had to ask for a to go container. Lots of outdoor seating, which I look forward to using this summer, because I know that we will be back! read more

Delicious soup and dumplings for a very fair price, Mr Dumpling is definitely a favorite and hidden gem. Their restaurant's interior is very nice, and their staff and service are friendly and fairly quick. Takeout never takes too long, and they have great noodles too. read more

THIS PLACE IS IT. OMG I'm still thinking of their wontons in chili oil (nearly daily, is that sad?) and I already have a short list of items I want to try on my next visit to Mr. Dumpling! Although I'm also considering just ordering like 3 orders of those delightful wontons and just ask them to be served in a giant bowl with a pint of chili oil. They are THAT good. We visited early on a Monday evening (just before 5) and by the time we left the place was definitely filling up. Our dishes were prepared quickly and excellently, service was impeccable and super friendly. Our table ordered said wontons, pan fried pork dumplings, BBQ Pork Bao buns and the noodles with chicken stir fry. Again, it was all soooo tasty! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot! read more

Great food. Great service. They were very kind to my kids who hadn't eaten this type of food before. The drinks were wonderfully different than normal drinks. The passion fruit drink and the ginger tea drink were amazing. Typical ambiance for a fast food place. But it was clean and pleasant enough. We will be back though! read more

We were very impressed by the food, both in terms of flavor and selection. Service staff was polite. Interior seating area was clean and tidy. Host staff was a little standoffish, which was the only reason for the downgraded score. read more

Still great our second time going in! Making our way through the menu and tried 3 new dishes this time; barbecue pork, wontons in chili oil, and chicken fried noodles. All dishes were great! I'm happy that while we were there they were getting fuller and fuller, great for their business! Food is great, not overhyped. Soup dumplings are phenomenal, hoping to see maybe more variety in the future. Service is always friendly. The decor in here is super classy and nice, gives off a romantic vibe for sure for a night out. Wish they had soju too, but otherwise everything is top notch and there's a good variety. Will be back soon! read more

Always great food and service!! Dumplings are perfect and I have yet to find a dish I haven't liked there.

Delicious Baozi filled with curry beef. Comes in an order of 6 pieces. Also tried the steamed pork dumplings, I think they would have been better when fried and then steamed (my bad for not ordering them that way). Cute place and all tables were full, they were busy on a Monday night. Service was friendly and efficient. It's kind of an out-of-the-main-way place in a residential area but worth the trip! read more

First time poster, long time lurker. Wow, just wow! This place was Gross! Microwaved BBQ pork, slapped on a plate and thrown in the microwave long enough for the individual slices to become one piece of rubber. Hot chili dumplings were mediocre and tasted freezer burnt. "Special Brisket" more like unremarkable grizzle, I wouldn't feed it to my dog. Vegetable Spring Rolls, made from some mixture of puréed carrots and cabbage. The cucumber salad was likely the only thing prepared in the kitchen onsite. Everything served is frozen and microwaved. Not sure how this place has as many positive ratings as it does. It's an abomination!!! read more

worst food we have ever had they are more like a heat and eat the bbq pork was heated in the microwave, the veggie spring rolls were made of mushy inedible non food , a waste of money we do not recommend going to this place everything we ordered was basically like dog food! we spent 60$ on food we couldn't even eat and now our stomachs hurt! read more

This spot became a fast new favorite. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with a smile, super nice staff and an amazing updated decor. There's tables and booths available for seating, but not a huge area where it doesn't feel commercial. The menu isn't overwhelming, and the food is phenomenal. We shared a huge plate of fried rice, pork dumplings and bbq bao buns and I rate it all 10/10. They have fountain drinks, and draft/ciders on tap and I believe I saw Sake. The owner was out cleaning tables and interacting with customers. We will drive the hour to Eugene to continue and support this wonderful establishment. A MUST TRY! read more

This is my 5th time here. I haven't had anything that wasn't great. Interesting modern decor and a pleasant setting. Nice, friendly folks. Husband and wife owners running the place. I've tried several things that are new to me, all Interesting and tasty. Things that I thought might be too spicy we're just right. The use of chilies for flavor not just heat is welcome. read more

After reading reviews I was excited to try this place and I really wanted to give a good review but overall I would say everything was ok. The restaurant itself had a beautiful and clean interior. We placed an order to go. Portions would good sized, except for the rice. Request a double portion if you need a lot. We ordered the Secret Beef Brisket; Eggplant w/Garlic Sauce; and Vegetable Spring Rolls. The Eggplant contained some green bell pepper pieces but not really enough where it seemed part of the dish. I also ordered it medium spicy but it had no spice to it and was a little too sweet to my liking. That was quickly remedied by their house chili oil which smelled delightfully of toasted sesame and chilis. The Secret Beef Brisket was mild and contained a mix of vegetables- zucchini, potatoes, bell peppers. The Vegetable Spring Rolls were hot and fresh and came with standard packets of sweet and sour sauce, to my disappointment. We will probably give them another try when we can dine in and try something different their menu as other reviews were positive. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to questions and allergies. read more
