Solid asian restaurant in Eugene. I really liked the mushroom chicken fried rice. I liked that it had broccoli and veggies in it. Very flavorful. Large portions here. Nice menu with dumpling, noodle, soup, and rice options. Good for sharing. Servers are extremely friendly and prices are not bad. Small inside but cozy and good vibes.

Well-done pan fried dumplings with affordable prices. The location is near a park, which could get really crowded during the weekends, otherwise parking should be relatively easy to find. The servers are attentive and decent with their service. The space inside is pretty comfortable and has a very large table for a big group, we walked in as a big group of 8 people and were sat instantly. The foods are authetic but the menu are quite large, so take your time to look at the menu before you go if you want to speed up the process. I highly recommend any pan fried dumplings, especially their Shanghai dumplings and shrimp pan fried. They were crunchy and tender at the same time.

A black rectangular plate holds several steamed dumplings sprinkled with black sesame seeds, with one dumpling being lifted by chopsticks. The dumplings are placed on a wooden table, and a person wearing a watch and black clothing is visible in the background, seated at the table. The setting appears to be a restaurant specializing in Asian cuisine.

Service was quick. Ordered a bottle of sake (they do have wine and beer though) and steamed pork buns, as well as panfried pork dumplings, and spicy wontons. The panfried dumplings were juicy inside and seasoned well. The soy sauce and vinegar are provided at the table so we can mix our own dipping sauce (though they didn't give us separate small bowls to create the dipping sauce). The steam buns were also made well and tasty to eat. The flavoring on the spicy wonton was perfect. This dish can look spicy to the uninitiated, but it isn't really -- and my guest who was worried about how spicy the wonton sauce appeared ate half the dish without having her delicate palate troubled. I'd return again for the quick service and solid dumplings. My only disappointment was that they didn't have the shao long bao (juicy dumplings). Maybe next time. Parking was available -- conveniently the main entrance is off a central parking area downtown.

Veggie Fried Rice-秘制蔬菜酱炒饭 we are disgusted.

my friend was eating there vegetable fried rice and found a literal claw in it. we were already eating it and then got so grossed out. manager was VERY apologetic and offered us a voucher but we will not be returning so a voucher doesn't do much. Other food was fine but not worth finding a claw in it. this was also our first time ever getting it and we will never get it again. A CLAW. SUCKS.

Best food I've had in Eugene!! The Bao buns were phenomenal and my soup was REALLY flavorful. Great portion sizes as well. Service wasn't great but not bad enough to not return.

Beef curry bao - Six steamed bao buns with black sesame seeds are placed on a black rectangular plate on a wooden table. The buns are round, plump, and have pleated tops. In the background, there are two glasses, one dark and one light blue, along with other dishes and blurred patrons in a restaurant with brick walls.

Great location and service. Food had a lot of flavor. I had the vegetable bao and was impressed with the flavor profile (it is sometimes hard for restaurants to pack flavor into a vegetarian option). The cucumber salad was excellent (a little spicy...but not too hot). I am currently meatless...but my daughter loved the beef curry bao and said we are definitely coming back!

So glad I checked Yelp reviews . Would never have found this place . Excellent food . Quick fresh service . Fully stuffed pork dumplings . Delicious beef noodles with lots of beef and vegetables. Spicy chicken noodles , hot n no soup.... Delicious . Wish I lived nearby as I wanna come back ! Very diverse menu .

Came here on Christmas evening and wow was this place busy! Recommend calling ahead or making a reservation. Ordered their curry beef bao, chicken cucumber salad, and shrimp noodle soup. The curry beef bao was the star of the show - super moist & flavorful meat stuffing. The prices were relatively reasonable and although the place was packed inside, the service was still good. Recommend this place for their curry beef bao!

Definitely 100% recommend. I want to congratulate the establishment because I do believe it is harder to keep high standards when there is less competition in smaller towns. Coming from LA, this place is solid. Ambiance is great, service was very friendly, and the food WAS GOOD. The beef soup had a solid flavor with fresh ingredients, the spicy wontons were very very good, along with the steam dumplings.

Pork dumplings in broth - A black bowl filled with hot wonton soup features dumplings, sliced mushrooms, cucumber pieces, and green herbs in a clear broth. The bowl is placed on a wooden table, with a spoon resting inside. In the background, there is another dish of fried rice and some napkins on the table.

Holy cow these were the best dumplings and Bao I've ever had. The pork dumplings in soup are absolutely amazing and I could live off of them alone! The fried dumplings were great and the BBQ pork Bao are out of this world. The curry beef Bao, cucumber salad and onion pancake are also super good.

We wanted to try this location and was sorely disappointed. First there isn't even a hostess to take our name and inform us of a wait time. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE! Instead they provide a notepad and a handwritten sign to put your name down. In the 15 minutes we stood around waiting for some shred of customer service we witnessed one guy walk in, grab a menu then was followed by his wife. When my wife confronted this guy and his wife she stated "they had reservations". THIS PLACE DOES NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS AND THERE WAS NO ONE TO STEP IN FOR THE 6 OTHER PARTIES BEFORE THIS COUPLE that had "RESERVATIONS". Clearly they don't give a shit about their customers and STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! I guess they feel they have enough business they don't need future customers but if they're so busy then why be so cheap as to not hire a host/hostess? Just bad business practice.

I always find that Asian food hits the spot when I'm really hungry, so I looked online for a place that "the locals" rated highly and I came across "Jade Dumpling and Noodles" on Willamette. Let me just say that the fine people of Eugene didn't steer me wrong! My oldest son loves dumplings and I love noodles (really any type of Asian food), so this place was a gem! We ordered 3 different kinds of dumplings, shrimp, pork and a spicy pork and they were All Delicious! These "soup dumplings" were small and bite sized but were packed with huge savory flavors! They are made right there and are amazing! I myself had the mixed noodles. House made noodles with beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables, stir fried in a delicious lite sauce, that enhanced the flavors of the dish, without overpowering it. You could taste all the ingredients and they were fresh and delicious! I cleaned the plate and now I can't wait to return to Jade Dumplings and Noodles again and try their other dishes, that I know will be tasty! The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable, all in all, a Great dining experience! Try them out and you'll be hooked on them, just like I am now!!!

When I walked in, I noted that it is very small... with limited seating, and pretty bare bones in the aesthetics. Probably does a lot of take-out more than dine in. There was a strong odor of burned cooking oil that was off putting. The lady at the counter was friendly, and took my order quickly. They do not have any hot tea, which would have been nice on a cold day. So I got a coke. I sat down and had to move... as the sun was coming in the window and blinding me where I sat. Other patrons came in and had to move also for that reason. They brought my food out and placed it on the table, which was nice. Portions were decent sized. The breaded chicken in my Sweet and Sour Chicken was mostly breading... very little chicken (see attached photo). Breading was not crispy at all... a bit mushy (I suspect they use pre-breaded chicken that was frozen, which is becoming more common... blech! Hard to make that crispy, unless double fried). The sweet and sour sauce was a little bitter... which I associate with pre-made (sysco? Not made in house) sauce. Very thin, overly sweet and a slight bitterness. Rice was ok... pretty good actually. Some might say I am too picky? But with the meal, a coke, and a tip... this was over $20... and there are other places that do this meal better for about the same price.

My Mapo had just the tiniest bit of spice... not much at all. I tried the chili oil that was on the table... and found it lacking in heat also, but flavor was ok. Mapo was decent... not very MA LA for those know the term... hardly any numbing Sichuan peppercorn in it that I could taste. So this is more of an Americanized version.... not the Chengdu version. Lots of sauce, and a good portion of tofu... enough that I brought over half home with me for later. Rice was ok... edges were kind of dry, so it was not super fresh. But I would eat here again... there are a lot of traditional Sichuanese dishes on the menu, and they even have meat skewers that I will have to try. Next time I will order HOT (extra Ma La)... and see if that does the job.
