Inside of pan fried char Cha Siu Bao-叉烧包

Service was fast and efficient. Able to get a nice table by the window. Ordered braised beef noodle soup, triple delight dumplings, char siu bao, and spicy wontons. Everything was sort of meh. The bao were interesting as the bottom was pan fried which I've never had before but the filling didn't taste the same/as good as all the others I've had before. The triple delight were only ok, and the spicy wonton were probably the best of them all. The soup was also just ok. Servers were friendly though and fast too!

I've tried this location vs the Springfield location and wow this location is very small and cozy. I went in at 1pm on Saturday for lunch for 2 people and we were lucky to be seated immediately. For bigger groups it looks like people like to sit and chill for a while. We ordered chili oil wonton, pork/shrimp wonton in soup, and Taiwanese pork with rice. I asked if they had Xiao long bao--they didn't. I thought this was a bao place and only reason I'm giving it a 3 stars--really I would give 3.5 stars. The service was good and food came out pretty quick! I really like their chili oil. It's crispy and not spicy- I wish it were spicier. I pretty much add it to every bite with the wontons. I really liked the wonton soup. Veggies were a nice addition and the soup was clean and refreshing. Taiwanese pork was OK. Not sweet or salty, but came in large portions. I thought the rice was a little too soft/mushy. If you are craving some good Taiwanese food, it's worth trying.

Well-done pan fried dumplings with affordable prices. The location is near a park, which could get really crowded during the weekends, otherwise parking should be relatively easy to find. The servers are attentive and decent with their service. The space inside is pretty comfortable and has a very large table for a big group, we walked in as a big group of 8 people and were sat instantly. The foods are authetic but the menu are quite large, so take your time to look at the menu before you go if you want to speed up the process. I highly recommend any pan fried dumplings, especially their Shanghai dumplings and shrimp pan fried. They were crunchy and tender at the same time.

Solid asian restaurant in Eugene. I really liked the mushroom chicken fried rice. I liked that it had broccoli and veggies in it. Very flavorful. Large portions here. Nice menu with dumpling, noodle, soup, and rice options. Good for sharing. Servers are extremely friendly and prices are not bad. Small inside but cozy and good vibes.

Service was quick. Ordered a bottle of sake (they do have wine and beer though) and steamed pork buns, as well as panfried pork dumplings, and spicy wontons. The panfried dumplings were juicy inside and seasoned well. The soy sauce and vinegar are provided at the table so we can mix our own dipping sauce (though they didn't give us separate small bowls to create the dipping sauce). The steam buns were also made well and tasty to eat. The flavoring on the spicy wonton was perfect. This dish can look spicy to the uninitiated, but it isn't really -- and my guest who was worried about how spicy the wonton sauce appeared ate half the dish without having her delicate palate troubled. I'd return again for the quick service and solid dumplings. My only disappointment was that they didn't have the shao long bao (juicy dumplings). Maybe next time. Parking was available -- conveniently the main entrance is off a central parking area downtown.

Best food I've had in Eugene!! The Bao buns were phenomenal and my soup was REALLY flavorful. Great portion sizes as well. Service wasn't great but not bad enough to not return.

Great location and service. Food had a lot of flavor. I had the vegetable bao and was impressed with the flavor profile (it is sometimes hard for restaurants to pack flavor into a vegetarian option). The cucumber salad was excellent (a little spicy...but not too hot). I am currently meatless...but my daughter loved the beef curry bao and said we are definitely coming back!

So glad I checked Yelp reviews . Would never have found this place . Excellent food . Quick fresh service . Fully stuffed pork dumplings . Delicious beef noodles with lots of beef and vegetables. Spicy chicken noodles , hot n no soup.... Delicious . Wish I lived nearby as I wanna come back ! Very diverse menu .

Came here on Christmas evening and wow was this place busy! Recommend calling ahead or making a reservation. Ordered their curry beef bao, chicken cucumber salad, and shrimp noodle soup. The curry beef bao was the star of the show - super moist & flavorful meat stuffing. The prices were relatively reasonable and although the place was packed inside, the service was still good. Recommend this place for their curry beef bao!

Honestly, thank god for authentic Chinese food…read more This is the best place you go to in Eugene for delicious handmade dumplings and noodles. Came in mid-afternoon on the weekend and the place was busy. We were seated immediately and received our food ~10 mins after ordering. We ordered the spicy and sour beef noodle soup, veggie dumplings, and scallion pancakes. There is an option to adjust the spice and numbing levels to your dishes. The food came out steaming. The veggie dumplings were flavorful and the wrapping was just thick enough to make 10-dumplings a hearty meal. The taste profile is similar to what you'd find in Northern China, and there is chili oil/vinegar/soy sauce at the table for you to make your own sauce. Scallion pancakes were deep-fried and on the thin side. They were more oily than the homemade ones I'm used to, but the crunch and flavor on them were nice. The sour and spicy beef noodle soup (opted spicy and numbing) was yummy. You can tell the noodles were handmade and they had a good bite to them. The beef was tender, the bok choy was a nice refreshing balance to the bold flavors of the dish, and the tea egg was a nice addition. The soup was quite sodium-heavy and oily, but the flavor was quite authentic and still yummy with the numbing spice kicking in towards the end. The interior is clean and has a viewing window at the front where you can see dumplings being made in real time.

It was kinda nice. The menu is pretty extensive. I meant to get a picture, but didn't - I'll try to remember if we go back. The food was great! Very large portions. We each ordered an entree & we could've easily shared one. If/when we go back - we'll probably order a couple of entrees for the family (5) & some rice for each of us & just share it all. The "spicy" Kung Pao chicken was great! The vegetables were cooked just right - crisp, but cooked. I say "spicy" because the menu lists it as spicy, but it wasn't "hot." It had a great flavor. My wife ordered the cashew chicken & it was good as well. If/when we're craving Chinese again - we'll definitely be ba
