Second visit, both times were great. House made Chinese Kimchi as a free nibble while I waited just knocked me over. I make Korean Kimchi and this is sweeter, not red, with a little kick at the end. House made noodles with beef and pickled veggies in a broth I want to take a bath in. Red peppers on top were a little hot for me but easily removed. Pickle flavor is perfect. Server AND the chef checked on me to make sure everything was perfect. Maybe it takes a few minutes to get your food but it's so worth it. Clean and pleasant place with easy access and good parking. The bao were interesting as the bottom was pan fried which I've never had before but the filling didn't taste the same/as good as all the others I've had before. Wonton in Sichuan red chili oil and Steamed Bao were amazing. Freshly made to order. Loved the service and the quality of the food.

Their Mapo Tofu is very good (the seafood version wasn't for me), although it can be hard not to bite into the whole spices left in the sauce. I meticulously strain them out at home. The flavor is amazing though. And the Char Siu Baos are delicious! read more

I've tried this location vs the Springfield location and wow this location is very small and cozy. I went in at 1pm on Saturday for lunch for 2 people and we were lucky to be seated immediately. For bigger groups it looks like people like to sit and chill for a while. We ordered chili oil wonton, pork/shrimp wonton in soup, and Taiwanese pork with rice. I asked if they had Xiao long bao--they didn't. I thought this was a bao place and only reason I'm giving it a 3 stars--really I would give 3.5 stars. The service was good and food came out pretty quick! I really like their chili oil. It's crispy and not spicy- I wish it were spicier. I pretty much add it to every bite with the wontons. I really liked the wonton soup. Veggies were a nice addition and the soup was clean and refreshing. Taiwanese pork was OK. Not sweet or salty, but came in large portions. I thought the rice was a little too soft/mushy. If you are craving some good Taiwanese food, it's worth trying. read more

Well-done pan fried dumplings with affordable prices. The location is near a park, which could get really crowded during the weekends, otherwise parking should be relatively easy to find. The servers are attentive and decent with their service. The space inside is pretty comfortable and has a very large table for a big group, we walked in as a big group of 8 people and were sat instantly. The foods are authetic but the menu are quite large, so take your time to look at the menu before you go if you want to speed up the process. I highly recommend any pan fried dumplings, especially their Shanghai dumplings and shrimp pan fried. They were crunchy and tender at the same time. read more

Service was quick. Ordered a bottle of sake (they do have wine and beer though) and steamed pork buns, as well as panfried pork dumplings, and spicy wontons. The panfried dumplings were juicy inside and seasoned well. The soy sauce and vinegar are provided at the table so we can mix our own dipping sauce (though they didn't give us separate small bowls to create the dipping sauce). The steam buns were also made well and tasty to eat. The flavoring on the spicy wonton was perfect. This dish can look spicy to the uninitiated, but it isn't really -- and my guest who was worried about how spicy the wonton sauce appeared ate half the dish without having her delicate palate troubled. I'd return again for the quick service and solid dumplings. My only disappointment was that they didn't have the shao long bao (juicy dumplings). Maybe next time. This place is amazing!! Me and my brother always go here when downtown. I always order panfried BBQ pork bao and he always orders pork dumplings. They're both always AMAZING. The staff is also always super friendly, and me and my brother always like looking at the paintings on the wall. The food is always super affordable, we can normally get a two person meal for 20 bucks. Also, we always like the Chinese music practically serenading our ears. We called ahead to confirm whether the restaurant was dog-friendly, specifically mentioning that we would be bringing our 13 lb dog in a stroller. The staff member on the phone assured us it would be fine. However, when we arrived, we were seated and allowed to place our order. Only after we had already ordered did the same staff member inform us that the restaurant only allows service dogs and that we would need to remove our dog. This was extremely frustrating, as we had called in advance specifically to avoid this situation. If this was truly their policy, it should have been clearly communicated over the phone or at least before seating us--not after we had already committed to ordering food. As for the food, it was average and nothing memorable. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed the entire experience. We will not be returning. read more

Holy cow these were the best dumplings and Bao I've ever had. The pork dumplings in soup are absolutely amazing and I could live off of them alone! We also tried the pan fried version which was ok but lacked the bite (texture) you usually find with pan fried dumplings.
