I don't know why I waited so long to give Tin Sing a try. I chose hot and sour soup. I chose the egg foo young and almond subgum chow mein. I really liked the chow mein as the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The food is a reminder of what Chinese food was like in the 70's and 80's. More on an American taste palette. Not authentic Chinese cuisine that's for sure. The old style egg flower soup is good. So there's two parking lots. Fun fact! Tin Sing was formerly A&W back in the day! The food is pretty good. You can choose from a few American style dishes, vegetarian dishes(or make your own) and Chinese food. I've not tried the American style dishes, the vegetarian choices are very good. I recommend the stir fry vegetables. There's a large selection of Chinese food. We all have our favorite numbers and we always add things on. We're typically seated by the owners spouse, which is kind of nice. She's super friendly. The inside is very Chinese themed, with lovely photos and decorations. The whole experience was not good... My husband went down to pick up our to go order. I had written out clearly what we wanted. The waitress was cold and rude and clearly did not speak English very well..or wanted to make my husband think that. He had to call home and ask me to help the waitress to understand what I wanted. I ordered a combination plate and all I asked in a very clear note that they exchange out the Sweet and Sour Chicken and replace it with Sesame Chicken. So I told that to the waitress and she said.."you want the sweet and sour sauce on the side?"..I said no and repeated what I wanted and said...do you understand and she said "yes"...but when the food got home, I had plain deep fried breaded chicken with Sweet and Sour sauce on the side. The menu said that Egg Flower Soup came with the combination...she charged my husband for two big bowls of soup and insisted it was extra. The noodles tasted like they were warmed over from the day before...they were like rubber. The Fried Rice had no flavor. The Egg Foo Yung was hard like it was premade, frozen and warmed up in microwave. We were giving this restaurant another chance after having tried it years ago twice and it was awful...we had heard that they had improved and were now good. Very greasy and heavy. Food tastes like it's just frozen ingredients that have been deep fried back to life. The only saving grace and reason for the two stars is the Egg Drop Soup which happens to be delicious. It's more like mess it up and also mix up all the food and not mark what people ordered terrible service and food could be better I'd probably get better Chinese food at Safeway tbh though it's better then that Golden Chopstix place in Harrisburg. If your in Junction City this is by far the best food we have found. And don't get me wrong this is typical Chinese fast food American style. We stopped in for lunch and was presently surprised. The service was fast, our waitress was super friendly and efficient and the food was hot and plentiful. We had an order of Szechwan chicken, which is glorified chicken fingers with a dipping sauce and the Spicy chicken. The Spicy was wok grilled and filled with every veggie and was piping hot when served. Both meals were on the $7.00 lunch special so you get a hot tea, a side soup of your choice, an egg roll, fried wot tons and your entree. So all in all a good deal too. Just went with my family after not having power for a few days. Super fast service, food came within 15 minutes. Always a good spot to go!

So I love this place for many reasons...1. the building is a cool shape haha 2. the workers are really good, the lady working the day I went in has been there a long time, it was super busy and she was KILLING it! Smile on her face, asking if we want extra sauce, not even acting like the busy atmosphere bothered her at all. 3. The food is SO good too! I had had the takeout before and then later I had the lunch and they are pretty different from each other, which sounds weird but they are both good. The fried rice was the biggest difference I noticed. During lunch there is no meat in the fried rice but for dinner there is. THE EGG ROLL. Ok so I have never had an egg roll this amazing. I am very used to the typical small, kinda light tan/yellow colored skinny egg roll, but this one was kinda medium sized, golden flaky and savory tasting and just WOW. We went to this restaurant with my family three times in two weeks while visiting from Texas. The menu was varied, and the food was good, but the service was great! We met an amazing server there, Jordana. She was took our order, served our food, and bussed tables all the times with a smile on her face. It's Americanized Chinese food, like many restaurants. But it's not bad. The restaurant is old, and really needs a good deep cleaning and a remodel. So it can appear a bit divey, but it works. The service has always been good, and I've never had a problem in that department. The waitresses are always friendly and attentive. They check on us at the right intervals without being annoying, or making us wait forever either. The tables, chairs, and carpet are old, and really need a face lift. The tables are always clean, never sticky or dirty. The carpet is easily the worst part of the restaurant, as it looks about as old as I am, and needs either a deep cleaning or just replaced. The food is fine. It's typical "Americanized" Chinese food, and that's OK. The Chinese BBQ Pork is my favorite. It's always tender and delicious. The mustard will clear your sinus problems in one single bite. Which I like. I'm always down for a good hot mustard. The egg flower soup leaves a lot to be desired, being on the watery side, with little flavor. It's not my favorite thing on the menu. I usually order something off the combination menu, a chow mein, rice, and pork or chicken. It's a restaurant I've been eating at for many years now, as my mother loves it. I don't stop in unless I'm passing through town though, and I have mom with me. But the consistency is what I appreciate the most about this restaurant. read more

Moved to Junction City last summer and have struggled with the lack of restaurant options, still an issue, but today we discovered the lone Chinese restaurant is actually one of the best we have ever had! Tin sing is great. I used to live out in the boonies near Monroe and ate here pretty frequently, and now living in eugene, I still don't mind taking the trip to JC. I always leave a happy camper.
