Came in to pick up an order and the lady at the counter taking orders (plus size women) did not greet me but instead gave me a nasty look and said "what do you need?" After I gave her the same exact energy she was giving me her whole mood changed and became nice all of a sudden. I have seen other reviews about this place and a lot of them are complaining about the same women's terrible customer service. I was very disappointed. I have seen this restaurant around for a long time and decided to try it. I hate to say it but I found the food to be inedible. The starters were either dry like the barbecue pork, or extremely greasy such as the potstickers. Whether dry or greasy, they lacked overall flavor. The hot and sour soup looked more like a slice of cake because of how gelatinous it was, and the flavor was very poor. The service was very good, they sat me quickly with a smile, got my drink order quickly, and were prompt at every other part of my visit. The restaurant was clean, food was very fair priced, and came in a timely manner. Judging by other reviews, others have not had a good experience, but I will say today they were fantastic. I gave it a real chance and ordered multiple things: egg flower soup, hot spicy chicken, chow mein sub with pan fried noodles and potstickers. Egg flower soup wasn't terrible, but wasn't great. Hot spicy chicken....where was the chicken? This was basically a bunch of soggy veggies swimming in sauce. Potstickers were squishy and flavorless. Chow mein? WTF was that?!!! Tempura Shrimp one large clump the size of a racquetball that had 3 shrimp in it, surrounded by raw batter all fried together. That's lazy cooking. I always ask for extra red sauce they charge me, but they never give it to me when I order take out , the chow mein is always great and fresh but the rice fried rice is a joke. worst fried rice ever had. It's not really fried rice. It's white rice. If they removed the Thai and American options on menu- would that perhaps give them a better budget and direction? I didn't try a Chinese plate myself due to the descriptions when I inquired on them. I suppose overall I'm left wondering why such a huge menu and average to poor quality food, when there seems so much potential. Would not recommend Ordered #5 to go. Got home, ready to have the egg flower soup only to find there was only a container of sweet and sour sauce. Should have checked before leaving the restaurant, but unwisely assumed that the container held soup. -Pork Chow Mein Chinese Style was disgusting - no flavor and goopy. -Pork fried rice - no flavor and dry. -Sweet and Sour pork - crunchy, but very oily. Some oiliness is expected because they are deep fried, but these were exceptionally oily as if they had been floating in oil after being cooked. -Mar Far chicken - good flavor, crunchy, but oily like the S&S Pork. -Also ordered the pork eggrolls - they were 'meh', but okay if fully immersed in the S&S sauce. Only a very small amount was eaten. Within 20 minutes, stomach was upset and woke up today to diarrhea.
