On the outside, I wasn't sure if this place was open, but as soon as I opened the door, I see there were people dining and the hostess greeted me right away. I informed her I wanted to do take out, so she handed me the menu. I was impressed that they had some dim sum items to choose from and was thinking this will be the best surprise for my daughter! I ordered some basics and the century egg and pork jook (congee). The wait wasn't long and the items were packed nicely. I wish they added some yellow mustard and shoyu to dip but maybe it's something I should have asked for. Overall, I'm am glad this place exists. The food is good, the flavors are there but be aware, price point is pretty steep but hey, it's probably the only place in Eugene that serves legit Cantonese dim sum and congee.

Sesame balls... smaller than I am used to, but very tasty. The red bean paste inside is yummy, although I think it needs a bit more paste than they have. Seems skimpy! But worth the price. Service is always awesome... the staff here are wonderful, if you need something, all you have to do is ask.

If you're in Eugene and haven't tried Mr Dumplings yet, you're missing out. The dumplings are absolutely incredible, especially the soup dumplings IMO! Even my picky kids tried everything and loved it ALL! You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the recipes are thoughtfully done. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. The green bean dish was the best I've ever had, portions hefty, and nothing tasted heavy or greasy. Every bite had us surprised! What really set this place apart tho is the staff. They were genuinely kind, welcoming, and accommodating. You can feel that they didn't just care about the food but also about the people walking through the door and experience you have. Overall Mr.Dumplings was one of my new favorite places to go! Great portions, fair prices, amazing service, and unique flavors! This is easily one of my favorite spots in Eugene I'd recommend to anyone! read more

My General Tso's chicken arrived quickly also... and I noted that it was actually prepared with some chilis fried in the oil as it should be. Chilis were on top of the chicken as decoration. The chicken was crispy, and delicious... all white meat. The sauce was very good too... tasted as it should. This dish should always have a little bit of heat from peppers, since it is meant to be a little spicy. It had just enough spice to be noticeable, although not spicy for my palate (I love spicy food). Some people might find it a bit spicy though. Large portion too... YUM! The crab puff were good, just cream cheese in a wonton wrapper, not sure how much actual crab there was, lol. The BBQ pork fried rice was excellent, with a fair amount of Char Sui (Chinese BBQ Pork) in it, with a nice smoky flavor. Based on this one dish... I am surprised at the negative reviews. If the reviews are based on delivery orders, that may be due to the person delivering more than the actual dish, which I suspect. Prices are very reasonable too...
