I rarely give a 5 star. This meal was so on point! We ordered wings spicy red and yummy red. The wings were crispy and sauce was perfect. Spicy red had heat but not extreme that you can't enjoy. As mentioned in my video on Instagram, I loved this place!! I will definitely be back to try more dishes!! There were friendly and kind workers, which is always a plus!! The tebokki with ramen and cheese was amazing. I ordered the spicy version, which wasn't terribly hot, but had just the right amount of spice!! The Terra beer was good, it had a similar taste to Heineken, which isn't my type of beer lol, but it was still good and I was happy to have tried it! Already craving my next visit here! We ordered the bulgogi fried rice, drumsticks with spicy pepper sauce, and spicy tteokbokki. The bulgogi fried rice was so flavorful and they added a good amount of bulgogi and green onions. The spicy pepper drumsticks were surprisingly spicy (yay!) and crunchy. Their tteokbokki was my favorite of all dishes. A tad sweet and a tad spicy. I would 100000% recommend this place. read more

I've heard alot of hype about this place so I decided it was about to try this place. The combo (you get 2 sides, fries, and 2 plates of chicken) is a great deal! The taste of the chicken itself is good--moist on the inside with a crunchy heavy breading with honey buttery taste that is very unique. Yes, this is one of the best fried chicken places in NYC. The shop is not big and seating is limited. The day I went a large group had reserved half the shop and was very loud (and they were playing drinking games)--since it was a small shop, it is hard to get some chill quiet, they have a dark clubby/bar vibe going on. Not the fault of the shop but they didn't talk to the other group or ask them to tone it down--but couldn't even hear myself talk for the last half hour of dinner. Not a good place to chat or catch up. Overall--good, it's best to eat fresh in shop rather than order delivery. Easy to park in the neighborhoods nearby. Good to experience once but not sure I would return. read more

5 stars for the food 3 stars for the service This place recently opened up in the neighborhood and I've been wanting to check it out. Decided to call ahead to place an order for pick up. The gentleman on the phone told me it'll take about 20 mins. I arrived 15 minutes later. I don't mind that I needed to wait the extra 5 minutes but I was surprised by the response I got. Me: "hi I'm here for pick up" Him: "Didn't I say it'd be 20 minute wait?" Me: "oh okay it took me about 15 minutes to get here" Him: "You called 11 minutes ago" To be honest I'm not here to argue about the wait time. Like I said I didn't mind the extra 5 minute wait. It was just the tone I received. All he had to say was "it'll be a couple of more minutes for the food to be ready" Now on to the food, as soon as I received the food I was pleasantly awarded with the delicious smell. We ordered the tekbokki with extra fish cake (additional $3), seasoned fries and soy garlic chicken wings. Everything was delicious! The fries and wings were perfectly fried and the taste was very well balanced. The tekbokki was also really good-- they give you some fish cake already with the dish and the additional fish cakes were a lot bigger. The texture and spice was also really good. I would definitely come back- maybe I'll dine in next time. read more

We came here for a late lunch on a Sunday. The place was pretty empty when we first arrived, but filled up pretty quickly. We ordered the fried chicken, half plain and half soy garlic. We also got the spicy chili sauce to dip in. Aside from the chicken, we also got the kimchi fried rice with spam and a side of corn salad. The chicken was really crispy and juicy. The most underrated chicken wing spot!! The wings have such a delicate crispy skin and is so easy to bite into. The flavor is just like most chicken spots, but a little more emphasized which I liked. Each bite comes with so much juice it is just delicious. The spam kimchi fried rice is now one of my favorite places to get! They messed up our order at first which we didn't notice and insisted to take it back to the kitchen and make a new batch and added a lot more for the inconvenience!! They are all so nice and welcoming. The spicy tteokbokki is not the best i have had but definitely close to the top! And finally the truffle fries were amazing! They did not skimp on the truffle seasoning, it was loaded and each fry you can taste it. The price at the end for all is very reasonable (We paid $100 after tax and 20% tip) Definitely a spot you will crave after having once. read more

My new favorite Korean fried chicken place! The chicken was super moist and crunchy. I'm not sure how they do it, but the meat was extremely juicy!! I thought the soy garlic was very good, it has a bit of a different flavor than the usual soy garlic that you would find at places like Mad for Chicken, but I really liked it. I also thought the chicken wasn't too salty or anything, which is good. There is a slight sweetness to the sauces though, which I thought was nice. I also got their seasoned fries, which was good too. Especially when they're fresh, the fries were crispy and flavorful. Great spot for Korean fried chicken in Flushing! We ordered the medium chicken with three flavors: Soy Garlic, Yummy Red, and Cheese Snow. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and each flavor was completely different. Soy Garlic was savory and garlicky, Yummy Red had a nice sweet and spicy kick, and Cheese Snow was surprisingly addictive with its sweet honey glaze and cheesy flavor. We also tried the spicy rice cakes with fried seaweed rolls, beef stone pot rice, rice balls, and the fish cake hot pot. Everything came in generous portions and was great for sharing. The fish cake hot pot was especially nice after all the fried chicken--warm, comforting, and not too heavy. Definitely a great place to come with friends or family. I had a great experience at Mr. Dak Restaurant on Northern Blvd in Queens with my son. We originally set out for breakfast but ended up here around 1 PM--and I'm so glad we did! The ambiance was clean and stylish, not too crowded, and the service was warm and attentive. My son had the Bulgogi Rice with a Sky Blue Lemonade, and I ordered the Korean Ramen and a Shirley Temple. The pork galbi was definitely the star dish. It was perfectly seasoned and very tender. I would definitely come back for that alone. The servers were attentive and polite. Overall a solid experience.

This place is one of those IYKYK (#1) establishments in that there is no proper storefront, but is located inside of the Hangyang Supermarket (#2) along Northern Blvd. The in-store entrance has the words "HY Food court Snack Corner" which is confusing for first timers but adds a well deserved hidden gem status that it's proud to flaunt. The interior looks somewhat updated, with less dingy tables to group seating and more decor on top of it. The kitchen is constantly active, with dishes constantly being churned out and what I imagine is an endless list of delivery order requests. There is nothing that stands out about food for me, but it's good enough in a pinch. Their kimchi steamed mandoo dumpling was very excent while the other regular panfried mandoo was a tinge mediocre. Their soondubu, japchae, kimbap, and tteokbokki were very mild and average in comparison to what's out there. This is also the location for 92 Chicken, a KFC joint that prepares the food in the very same kitchen. Service isn't the warmest, but they do speak Korean and Mandarin with a limited amount of English. Parking is in a dedicated lot and there is a 3% fee for all credit card purchases.
