I had the spicy honey garlic and spicy garlic fried chicken, and it was delicious! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside--just like it tastes in Seoul. I also had the crispy calamari, which was very fresh.

I love this spot! I love the fried chicken and tteokbokki! My friend and I were craving some delicious tteolbokki and Mr. Dak didn't disappoint us. I do wish the free side was a cole slaw, a soda can or fries, but it's fine because the main dishes are amazing. You can order three different sauces for the chicken. Can't wait to come back. The service is wonderful too.

Fried chicken is a bit dry. Crunch tiger has corn flakes sprinkle on top of the chicken. I like that they made their own sauce. Kimchi fried rice with spam taste pretty good. The fried egg was cooked perfectly. I like they put a few seaweed on top of the fried rice. Bring cash.

Very authentic Korean fried chicken spot in Flushing! Tried the Special Combo--perfect for two, with juicy boneless chicken and great flavor options (loved the creamy yogurt onion + honey garlic). The spicy rice cake with added ramen was a must--so rich and satisfying. Also ordered the whole fried chicken--crispy outside, tender inside, but the spicy sauce is very spicy Drinks were refreshing and fun too. Overall, great value and definitely worth a visit!

Great Korean comfort food spot! I enjoyed the chicken and house-made sauces. The yummy red 1 is actually more sweet than spicy, so don't be shy when choosing spicy sauces! The seafood pancake is large and contains a lot of shrimp. I ordered the Special Combo which allowed me to choose 3 different sauces for the Korean fried chicken. The tteokbokki was good but it wasn't the best Rose sauce I've had before. You can take the Q12/Q13 from Flushing Main St and it drops you off right across the street from Mr. Dak, which is convenient!

Conveniently located on Northern Blvd with meters parking in front (until 7PM) and residential parking nearby. We got lucky with a spot right in front after just after 7PM. It is a comfortably sized space with a few tvs and music playing. The service is friendly and attentive. We opted for the Combo 1 which came with wings (10) and drumsticks (5) and we added the Combo Sides (Small) option. I tried the Yummy Red Spicy (Level 2) the first time I was here and really enjoyed it. It was not too spicy. This time, we decided to get the Spicy Red (Spicy Level 3) and Honey Garlic. Definitely kicked it up a notch with the spice level. I prefer the Level 2 as you get more flavor. I would not go for Spicy Pepper (Spicy Level 4) as it seems like it would just be spice overpowering the flavor. The Honey Garlic is an interesting flavor combo, since you can taste both flavors prominently. The corn salad and cole slow was refreshing. A bit liquidy but good flavor. Along with the pickled daikon, it helps cool the spice. The fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. The Green Grape Green Tea was refreshing and not too sweet... The sweetness level you expect from a grape. Great grape flavor, and the coconut jelly adds a nice squishy texture. Solid Korean Fried Chicken spot to hit if you're looking for a variety in flavor. I will definitely be back to try the other flavors!

solid place to get korean fried chicken, i enjoyed the triple combo deal! the food: for the three flavors, i got creamy onion, scallion, and yummy red at the 2nd heat level. i would say the creamy onion was by far my favorite, it has quite a yogurt-y sauce and covered with thin, crispy raw onions. the flavor can get a little tiring so i enjoyed the others in the set. ddukbokki was not the best since the rice cakes were overcooked. the fries were yummy! the space: not too many seats, maybe like 15?? they had a line by 7 pm! the service: nothing memorable

Cuisine: 7 Service: 8 Decor: 7 Value: 7 Overall: 7 Compared to most Korean fried chicken places, I find that this spot tends to keep their chicken very moist and juicy, regardless if it's the drumsticks or wings. The batter is not too thick but have a nice crispiness to each bite. However, the flavors are lighter and not as strong if that's your thing. With that said, we really enjoyed all of the flavors that we tried, which included soy garlic, spicy soy garlic, scallion & mustard, spicy red, and cheese snowing. They also had a promo on the wall for Serrano Pepper Fried Chicken. We got the boneless thighs, but the batter lacked a nice crunch and the meat was somewhat dull. It didn't have much of a kick either. To our surprise, the ddukbokki was quite excellent. The texture of the rice cakes, the flavor of the sauce, the fish cakes and the fried seaweed rolls were all made very well. Maybe one of the best versions I have ever had. On a night out when I want some good greasy food to go with your beer or soju, this would be one of my top choices around Queens.

Came here on Wednesday (50% off soju and beer all day!) and the service was wonderful. Ordered rose tteokbokki and honey garlic and truffle wings. The rose tteokbokki was delicious, and would recommend adding noodles. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I would not recommend the truffle as it was quite salty for my liking. Update: been here at least twice a month as its the BEST Korean Fried Chicken in NYC.

Their fried chicken was the BEST I've had in NYC so far--the fried batter was thin and crispy, while the meat retained the juiciness. Our favorite was cheese snowing as I was addicted to the cheese powder. The creamy onion sauce was unique and tasted like pringle's sour cream chips. ＊Rose Ddukbokki $22.45 ** It came with a big pot smothered in a creamy, non-spicy rose sauce. It was generously loaded with ddukbokki, fish cake, ham and sausages. It was my first time trying fried seaweed roll, which was rice wrapped in a deep-fried seaweed wrapper. OH MY SO DELICIOUS!! ＊Mr Jjim Dak $41.45 *** Their jjim dak transported me back to Seoul instantly. It was a savory and sweet braised chicken pot. The glass noodles soaked up the soy sauce and turned into a brownish hue. Incredibly flavorful. They didn't skimp on the chicken as the pot was very heavy. The huge portion could feed a family. ＊Mr Dak Kimchi Fries $15.45 The kimchi fries were covered with a web of sour cream sauce and sprinkled with scallions. It reminded me of halal cart. I found tons of kimchi and crispy bacon between the fries. If I had to nitpick, the fries weren't hot enough but it was still crispy when served.

Came here at 1PM on a Sunday. Place was empty which was great for us as it is a cozy place. Food was great and we mostly enjoyed everything. Our only negative were the cheese fries, as the fries were soggy. The side dishes were also very refreshing and a great way to take a break from the heavier items.

As mentioned in my video on Instagram, I loved this place!! I will definitely be back to try more dishes!! There were friendly and kind workers, which is always a plus!! The tebokki with ramen and cheese was amazing. I ordered the spicy version, which wasn't terribly hot, but had just the right amount of spice!! The Terra beer was good, it had a similar taste to Heineken, which isn't my type of beer lol, but it was still good and I was happy to have tried it! Already craving my next visit here! We ordered the bulgogi fried rice, drumsticks with spicy pepper sauce, and spicy tteokbokki. The bulgogi fried rice was so flavorful and they added a good amount of bulgogi and green onions. The spicy pepper drumsticks were surprisingly spicy (yay!) and crunchy. Their tteokbokki was my favorite of all dishes. A tad sweet and a tad spicy. I would 100000% recommend this place. read more

I've heard alot of hype about this place so I decided it was about to try this place. The combo (you get 2 sides, fries, and 2 plates of chicken) is a great deal! The taste of the chicken itself is good--moist on the inside with a crunchy heavy breading with honey buttery taste that is very unique. Yes, this is one of the best fried chicken places in NYC. The shop is not big and seating is limited. The day I went a large group had reserved half the shop and was very loud (and they were playing drinking games)--since it was a small shop, it is hard to get some chill quiet, they have a dark clubby/bar vibe going on. Not the fault of the shop but they didn't talk to the other group or ask them to tone it down--but couldn't even hear myself talk for the last half hour of dinner. Not a good place to chat or catch up. Overall--good, it's best to eat fresh in shop rather than order delivery. Easy to park in the neighborhoods nearby. Good to experience once but not sure I would return. read more

We came here for a late lunch on a Sunday. The place was pretty empty when we first arrived, but filled up pretty quickly. We ordered the fried chicken, half plain and half soy garlic. We also got the spicy chili sauce to dip in. Aside from the chicken, we also got the kimchi fried rice with spam and a side of corn salad. The chicken was really crispy and juicy. 5 stars for the food 3 stars for the service This place recently opened up in the neighborhood and I've been wanting to check it out. Decided to call ahead to place an order for pick up. The gentleman on the phone told me it'll take about 20 mins. I arrived 15 minutes later. I don't mind that I needed to wait the extra 5 minutes but I was surprised by the response I got. Me: "hi I'm here for pick up" Him: "Didn't I say it'd be 20 minute wait?" Me: "oh okay it took me about 15 minutes to get here" Him: "You called 11 minutes ago" To be honest I'm not here to argue about the wait time. Like I said I didn't mind the extra 5 minute wait. It was just the tone I received. All he had to say was "it'll be a couple of more minutes for the food to be ready" Now on to the food, as soon as I received the food I was pleasantly awarded with the delicious smell. We ordered the tekbokki with extra fish cake (additional $3), seasoned fries and soy garlic chicken wings. Everything was delicious! The fries and wings were perfectly fried and the taste was very well balanced. The tekbokki was also really good-- they give you some fish cake already with the dish and the additional fish cakes were a lot bigger. The texture and spice was also really good. I would definitely come back- maybe I'll dine in next time. read more

The most underrated chicken wing spot!! The wings have such a delicate crispy skin and is so easy to bite into. The flavor is just like most chicken spots, but a little more emphasized which I liked. Each bite comes with so much juice it is just delicious. The spam kimchi fried rice is now one of my favorite places to get! They messed up our order at first which we didn't notice and insisted to take it back to the kitchen and make a new batch and added a lot more for the inconvenience!! They are all so nice and welcoming. The spicy tteokbokki is not the best i have had but definitely close to the top! And finally the truffle fries were amazing! They did not skimp on the truffle seasoning, it was loaded and each fry you can taste it. The price at the end for all is very reasonable (We paid $100 after tax and 20% tip) Definitely a spot you will crave after having once. read more

Great little spot for Korean fried chicken. Wasn't that busy when I went on the weekend around 8PM. They have a pretty decent combo meal - I ordered the 8 Wings / 4 Drumsticks combo with Soy Garlic and Spicy Red flavors. It comes with fries which were delicious. The drumsticks were so big they were kind of scary. I personally prefer the soy garlic over the spicy red, which tasted artificial in my opinion. I enjoyed the soy garlic, which was good, but not like addictingly good. The meat is very juicy and the exterior was very crunchy. Also ordered the army stew - that was a tad disappointing. Didn't think you can mess this up but this dish was really not hitting it. The soup was rather tasteless. I would come back for the combo again but I will refrain from ordering anything soupy. read more

My new favorite Korean fried chicken place! The chicken was super moist and crunchy. I'm not sure how they do it, but the meat was extremely juicy!! I thought the soy garlic was very good, it has a bit of a different flavor than the usual soy garlic that you would find at places like Mad for Chicken, but I really liked it. I also thought the chicken wasn't too salty or anything, which is good. There is a slight sweetness to the sauces though, which I thought was nice. I also got their seasoned fries, which was good too. Especially when they're fresh, the fries were crispy and flavorful. I also want to give a special shout-out to their well-maintained bathroom and friendly staff!! Will definitely be coming back! read more

The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! They start off with some banchan that includes kimchi and pickled radish. They also give you a large bowl of scallion in the beginning to let you put scallion on your dishes - I love scallion! My fave dish the raw beef dish (somewhere on the first page). I've gotten it both times now. It comes with raw egg yolk that you mix in with gochugang on the side. If you have leftover and take home like I did the first time, you have to cook it before eating. The bossam is also really good and very plentiful. (Get it with mixed cuts!) The seafood pancake is also pretty good - it's not super crispy which I prefer, but it's crispy enough and also very filling and satisfying (the inside dough is soft and warm and the seafood is very flavorful).

A couple of us shared a $13 bottle of the green grape flavor of Chum Churum, a soju. In terms of banchan, there was a bunch. Everyone got a cold and refreshing cabbage soup as well as a very tasty version of Braised Tofu/Dubu-jorim/두부조림. Once we ordered, we also got a bunch of other banchan, including cabbage, radish, and cucumber Kimchi, broccoli and cauliflower Namul, Marinated Mushrooms/Beoseot Bokkeum/버섯볶음, Anchovies With Peanuts/Myeolchi Bokkeum/멸치볶음, and Potato/Gamja Salad/감자샐러드. One of the other things brought out was a pretty tasty version of Raw Soy Sauce Marinated Crab/Ganjang-Gejang/간장게장. Most of these were refillable. The first actual thing that arrived was something that I can't eat, the $22.99 Seafood Pancake/Haemul Pajeon/해물파전. I have a cephalopod allergy, or in other words, anything with tentacles, so I avoid squid and octopus, and seafood pancakes always contain one of those two. Everyone else enjoyed it, though. The pajeon I could eat was the Kimchi Jeon/김치전 for a dollar less. It was pretty tasty, though I prefer other spots that had a bit more of a crisp. Next was one of their signatures, the grilled duck. Going from online reviews, we went with the non-spicy version, as people prefer it, as the spicier marinade overpowers the duck. This was the $29.99 Sang Ori Gui/생오리구이. The sliced duck was on a hot, sizzling plate, with there also being a lot of grilled onions and scallions. The duck had a mix of pieces, ranging from fatty to less so, and had a nice mix of textures. This was easily one of my favorites, though I liked it even more when paired with the ssamjang that arrived with the BBQ, as the sauce balanced the light fattiness. Arriving at a similar time was the last thing I couldn't eat, the Spicy Stir-Fried Baby Octopus on Iron Plate/Jjukkumi Cheolpan Bokkeu/철판쭈꾸비볶음, for $30.99. I couldn't try the octopus, but the portion was plentiful, and I had a bit of the noodles on the bottom after making sure there were no tentacles, as well as trying the sauce. The sauce was tasty, spicy, and very flavorful. We went with two of the Korean BBQ meats, one beef and one pork. My preference of the two was surprisingly the $49.99 Charcoal Grilled Marinated Beef Ribs/Yangnyeom Galbi/양념갈비. This also came with two veggies: kabocha squash and asparagus. The beef was extremely tender, had the perfect mix of fat and meat, and had only a light sweetness from the marinade. This was absolutely delicious and very much worth the price point. Also tasty was the Grilled Pork Belly/Samgyeopsal/삼겹살, for $36.95. This also came with a few things, including cabbage and a large mushroom. The pork belly was delicious, being just fatty enough and very tender as well, with a mild chew. The BBQ came with a few extra side dishes. This included a tasty steamed egg/Gyeran-jjim/계란찜, greens, an onion salad, ssamjang, salt, and a small boiling pot of soybean stew/doenjang jjigae. They were all tasty, though nothing particularly notable outside of the portions being generous. Also, at the end of the meal, they gave us some sujeonggwa. Not much for me to complain about this place. The food was very tasty overall, and the service was wonderful. I would go back and order a full beef BBQ set.

The ambiance was clean and stylish, not too crowded, and the service was warm and attentive. My son had the Bulgogi Rice with a Sky Blue Lemonade, and I ordered the Korean Ramen and a Shirley Temple.
