Good chicken quality! Sauce selection could be improved. Wait time is a bit longer than most places.

I'm torn with this Raising Cane's review. I wanted to love…read moreit. But- it was just average. We both got THE BOX which came with bread, slaw, the tenders, canes sauce, and crinkle fries, and a soda. $11.59. Total of just over $24. It was busy. I expected piping hot food and lots of turn over and cooking to order basically. Nothing should have been just sitting. Our chicken wasn't really hot and was soggy not crispy. Odd. The sauce definitely was needed to boost the flavor profile- because the chicken itself didn't really have a flavorful breading - and it was soft. Odd. My husband had two sauces - I got one. Odd. The fries weren't bad- but not terrific. The toast was warm and nice. The slaw cup- mine was going brown and my hubbies was beautifully fresh. Odd. We just self served ourselves from the coke machine area. They did have sweetened and unsweetened tea there. The lemonade was behind the counter. There were a lot of people in the drive thru and inside where we ate. It got to where there was no seating and people stood just looking at you hoping you were finishing. The bathroom was in constant use. Crazy. Families and teams and couples were there etc- so it was family friendly. The service was full of smiles and thank yous. At the end I found a black hair in the bottom of my styrofoam food tray. I know it happens. I didn't complain. Not sure if we will frequent them. If there were half stars- it would be a 3 1/2! May your visit be better and wow you!!

I stopped in and placed a to go order of their six piece legs and thighs with breaded corn for the side. When I saw breaded corn was an option, the first thing my mind went to was breaded corn nuggets. Never once did I think "hey, maybe they mean literal pieces of corn on the cob that are breaded." Boy, that surprised me. The breading kind of fell off the corn as you started eating it, so it was mostly just corn on the cob that was a little mushy compared to corn that isn't fried. I wouldn't get this again. I feel like I got a good amount of chicken based on the price. There were three legs and three thighs in the container and they weren't necessarily small pieces. Unfortunately, neither the breading or the chicken itself were seasoned, so each piece was just plain chicken in plain breading. Not bad, but also something I wouldn't get again.

They have one of my favorite coleslaw that I will eat and just go buy on a wim is so good! Decore is happy and bright! It's open and you can go back and forth between the restaurant and gas station freely

They came out piping hot. The buffalo garlic was listed under hot sauces but it is not hot IMO. We had carrots and celery with blue cheese on the side. We had also ordered onion rings - they came out hot but we would skip them next time - kind of bland. The place was packed, so it was a little tough to get service but the staff was hustling. Our server was was very friendly and helpful when we were able to get her to our table. TomKen's gives typical Wisco neighborhood bar vibes, with lots of local memorabilia on the walls and several TVs with sports on. We may have to go back and try the fried chicken - tables all around us were ordering big baskets of fried chicken and all the sides.

TomKen's has classic sports bar vibes. They were busy when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. It took a little while to get my order in. But the people were nice and there was a Brewers game on TV and I didn't mind hanging out for awhile. I got the famous friendly chicken dinner. This was a 4-piece half chicken dinner with coleslaw, fries and Italian bread. It was a lot of food especially for the price. The chicken was juicy and the batter was nicely salty. The fries were the crinkle variety--nothing special on their own but a nice potato-ey complement to the chicken. The cole slaw was solid--a little sweet and not too mayonnaise heavy. One should not eat fried chicken every day of course, but I would definitely come back for a treat.
