Ordered fried chicken that comes with a dip which their dip was a line of mayo. I ordered 2 kimchi fried rice with spam and they forgot about it. when I reminded them they only brought 1 with 4 pcs of spam as a garnish Bwhaha. Fountain drinks are flat. Would I recommend this place not really worth the $33.99 cost. You can get better kbbq elsewhere. read more

This new location of the famous Mr BBQ of Fullerton aptly named Jr lives up to the hype. We visited for the first time this evening after a movie at the AMC theater next door. This is a good spot for food before or after catching a movie or just visiting the open air mall. The host greeted us warmly and promptly helped me answer a menu question and dietary restriction request. Great friendly service right off the bat set the stage for a delicious meal. The banchan or sides were tasty and the included steamed egg bowl was freshly made. They have a table side digital ordering tablet to get your meats, apps, drinks etc. The waiters brought our dishes out fast after inputting them to the pad. They also kept up with providing us with new grill tops throughout the meal. The meal includes ice cream at the end too. The meat selection was good for just $31.99 for dinner price. Ask for a side of sliced garlic and/or jalapeños to grill too. They recently took over this location from a previous owner so it's under new management now. I was excited to try this Korean BBQ restaurant after seeing significant hype on TikTok. I added myself to the waitlist and was quoted an approximate 40-minute wait. However, once we arrived and checked in, the experience became frustrating. Although Yelp notified us that our table was ready and a staff member initially told us the same, we waited an additional 40 minutes while repeatedly being told, "we are setting up your table." During this time, two other parties were seated before us. After we approached the staff again, a manager finally acknowledged the situation and seated us. She explained they were short-staffed, which we would have understood had expectations been communicated more clearly. The restaurant itself was very busy but visually appealing, with a cute atmosphere and artwork that stood out. Our waiter was excellent and provided attentive service. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking, and the menu felt limited in terms of food, meat selection, and beverages. Given the pricing, the offerings felt overpriced. Additionally, the flavors leaned heavily toward an Americanized version of Korean BBQ, which was not to my preference. Toward the end of our visit, we witnessed a staff member slip and injure himself due to the cleanliness issues. The response from the team was concerning, as the incident appeared to be largely ignored and the employee was encouraged to continue working. Overall, while there were some positive aspects, the wait time miscommunication, cleanliness concerns, limited menu, and handling of staff safety issues ultimately left a negative impression. I'm glad we checked out this newly opened AYCE KBBQ They had Korean street foods on their menu (e.g., tteokbokki, mandu, fried chicken, bulgogi fries) and some soup/noodle dishes. But, we only got to try soondubu (tofu soup). The service crew were also very attentive. They changed our grills, even before we request for it. Some of our favorites were the corn cheese, beef belly, prime ribeye steak, and the kimchi jjigae.
