My family treated me here for my birthday dinner. It was our first time here. The wai was 40 mins but it was so worth it!! The food was amazing and everything we had was delicious. Our favorites were the sirloin, bulgogi and the short rib. But by far what made the experience was our server Kaipo. Like A++ in customer service. Always checking in on us and making sure we had an amazing dining experience. My kids even commented on how this was some of the best service they've ever had at a restaurant which is a big deal. I came here for their lunch and at first I was bummed they didn't have the short ribs available for lunch. But the server suggested the marinated chuck eye and oh my gosh was that a game changer. One of my favorite go-to kbbq spots in the area! Can't even remember how many times I've been here now but it has always been consistent enough to keep coming back. I mostly go for the beef options, and they are all very flavorful and tender. It could get really crowded during peak times but very worth it if you're looking for solid, high quality kbbq. Mr BBQ AYCE is located kiddie corner to Paris Baguette and Yoshinoya Express. Located near the college area, this place stays packed for good reasons in the weekends. The AYCE Korean BBQ here is very good, with a great variety of meats (everything from pork belly to marinated short ribs), mussels, scallops and a generous lineup of sides to keep your mouth smiling and interesting creative "mayo seaweed salad". Shoutout to our amazing servers, Claire and Thomas--they were super friendly, attentive, and kept the grill flowing without missing a beat. We got extra 2nd servings of free ices creams. This is the type of KBBQ spot that I can call my go-to spot if I lived in the area but I don't. Can't wait to come back tho! Vibes were there and music was poppin. Got me singing and dancing feeling like it was the Bay Area as I cooked some meats. Talk about burning and eating my calories! My family and I love this spot! It's a bit of drive for us but it's so worth it. We come here with just the four of us or sometimes a big group for birthday celebration. They do great birthday celebrations here- so highly recommend if you want a fun surprise for that special person. The meat quality is always great and my kids really enjoy this spot. They have great ban chan and amazing tofu soup! My daughter loves their cold noodles here too- not a lot of kbbq spots serve cold noodles, so happy they have that here. The service is always great and they're all super friendly. I would say highly attentive even where they're busy! Mr. BBQ never disappoints. Anytime I go back home to Orange County, this place is always on my list. The food is consistently good, and the experience is just as solid every single time. It's one of those spots you can rely on to deliver. It does get ridiculously crowded, especially during peak hours, so I highly recommend checking in early if you don't want a long wait. Once you're seated, everything moves smoothly and the staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience enjoyable. I come often with my family to eat at Mr. BBQ. My youngest son loves to eat Korean BBQ. The parking is a struggle since it is a small plaza. Normally there is a long wait list. My family and I usually ordered from the premium menu. We get the rib eye steak,new york steak, scallop, brisket and pork belly. The steaks were very tender and delicious. Most Korean BBQ don't have scallops on the menu and this is one of the better Korean BBQ l been to. The service is good but sometimes it's a little slow. Jose was our server and he was just the sweetest. He was funny and conversational and attentive to our table despite it gradually becoming busy. I've been trying to go here for YEARS but the wait is always just so gnarly. We came around 7pm on a Tuesday night and there was still about a 15-20 minute wait for 3 people. Parking kinda sucks but if you're lucky you might get a spot in their tiny lot that they share with another restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of banchan they had and I've never had cold noodles offered at an ayce Kbbq before! So refreshing paired with their greasy meats! Our server was cool and he even made a secret sauce for us that was so yummy! I did feel like the quality of the meats were decent at its price point but not the best I've had. They send sparklers to your table if it's your bday! I think we witnessed like 4-5 bdays that night. v cute! I originally wrote a review back in 2022, and coming back in 2026, Mr. BBQ in Fullerton is still an absolutely fantastic AYCE KBBQ spot! This time around, we came with a smaller group of 6. A major heads-up for anyone planning to visit: the secret is out, and walk-in wait times can easily stretch to over an hour or two during peak hours. Do not just walk in cold! Your best bet is to make an "appointment" by joining their waitlist via the Yelp app before you arrive. It saves a massive amount of time and makes the whole evening much smoother. We ordered the dinner special, and the service remains top-notch. Even with a packed house, our server was incredibly attentive, quick, and her great sense of humor really elevated our dining experience. The meats came out fairly fast and were incredibly fresh. I am keeping this at 4 stars for the exact same reason as my 2022 visit: the brisket. Even years later, the brisket hasn't changed. While the very first plate of brisket is delicious, the quality on the subsequent plates drops--they lack flavor and become a little tough to chew. Despite that one minor con, compared to other KBBQ joints in the area, this is probably the best KBBQ in North Orange County. Of course, down in Central or South Orange County there are better options, but if you're looking for great Korean BBQ, a fun atmosphere, and excellent customer service up north, Mr. BBQ is still a highly reliable go-to! read more

This place is SO good. We've been here so many times and I realized Ive never left a review. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. A big plus, and the biggest reason we always come here is that they have filet mignon. Best waiter is Angelo, he's fun, attentive and makes a good sauce. Restaurant is huge, lively and music is always pumping you up even if you're super hangry you know you'll be satisfied. It gets super packed from the time they open until closing but you just gotta be patient. You can join their waitlist on YELP!! Their menu is huge with different options and reasonable price. Weekends, is automated dinner price still worth it. Their meats are always fresh and ready to be served unlike some other places you're getting the same fresh meat every round. The only thing is, you will not be able to hear anyone or anything in the restaurant because of the insanely loud music. It is so loud. As someone who works with people with hearing loss, please, for the sake of your staff and guests, turn the music down. It's okay, I guess, for guests who are only exposed for an hour or two. For the staff, their hearing cells are exposed to that loud music all day, every day, which will damage their hearing. Please, if you care about your staff at all, please turn the music down. The staff should be aware that they can call OSHA if the business does not turn the music down, if they are concerned that they will most likely lose their hearing at a much earlier age due to working here. read more

We all went with the $39.99 all-you-can-eat menu and ordered plenty of brisket and pork belly. The table came loaded with a wide variety of banchan, which was a great start. Dipping sauces were pretty standard for Korean BBQ. Our server took our initial order but went on break without letting us know, so we had to flag another server. It wasn't ideal. We had a couple of grill changes and also tried the marinated bulgogi, which was decent. To wrap things up, they brought out complimentary ice cream, which hit the spot. The wait times especially on weekends can get up to around 2-3 hours. Definitely plan ahead and join that waitlist before you even think about getting hungry. Parking in the parking lot out front can be difficult. There is residential parking a block away though and its worth it to walk off all that food. Pros: * fantastic selection for premium all you can eat * beef belly, brisket, galbi were high quality * house special dipping sauce is so addicting. Its spicy, vinegary and full of umami flavor. They actually hit the flavor I expect. My go-to meats are the beef belly, brisket, NY strip, galbi, and rib finger meat. All super solid picks. Many years ago, I came in for dinner. Food was bomb but the biggest issue I had was getting burned on my arm by oil drippings. They thought it was a good idea to hover the hot metal grille over me. The burn was so bad it made my dark tanned arm turn pink. I was nice enough to brush it off and say it was OK but it is not OK. Five years later I still have the scar on my arm and now with what looks like a growing cyst that is slowly getting bigger. They were nice enough to offer me a Band-Aid and a free soju bottle which I accepted. Was it worth the permanent scar with a cyst growing on it ? Not too much. There are plenty of other options that include all meats from their higher tier (51.99) for a lot cheaper. There's free ice cream at the end! Parking is small.
