Really enjoyed our experience here! The food was good and everything was fresh. Service was definitely a highlight--Gello was amazing! Super attentive and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back!

The meat selection here was amazing! My favorites were definitely the brisket and beef belly. I also loved all of the side dishes, they were flavorful and paired really well with the meat. The service was quick and efficient, and the place was very clean. Plus, you get ice cream afterward, which was such a nice bonus! Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back.

LUNCH Special for $30 a person is undefeated. QUALITY of BEEF BELLY AND BRISKET was amazing. Pro tip combine them to get the perfect lean:fat ratio! GELO is one of the best servers I have had! He was so attentive and accommodating and his bright personality made our day. Bonchon variety is abundant but I really just wanted cucumber and kimchi. KIMCHI wasn't my favorite but decent. STEAMED EGG and KIMCHI SOUP side by side was also a solid combo. Dip the egg in the soup for the true Korean approved experience. The TOFU SOUP had a lot of soft tofu but the broth was just ok. Great sides to the meat and I'd honestly get them again. Go to AYCE Korean BBQ spot for the area get pretty busy!

We can see why there's a line for this place. Nice touch to offer free sample size slushy drinks to people waiting. All of the meats, banchan, steam egg and salad were quality. Attentive service came in waves but all interactions were friendly. What we noticed rhe most: ventilation! It was much better than other KBBQ, as we didnt leave smelling like the food. Be warned: the parking lot is very small so plan to sit and/or circle until a coveted spot opens up. We heard a Mr.BBQ Jr just opened in Tustin, and we hope to eat there too.

I'm back in California visiting so I had to visit Mr BBQ. This is my favorite Korean bbq restaurant out here! The service was amazing. My server was so attentive and checked on us constantly. I really enjoyed the service. They were playing music and I was cooking and vibing. I was so happy. I ordered bulgogi, brisket, cheese corn, steamed egg, kimchi soup, ribeye steak, extra orders of banchan, and rice. Everything was 10/10. I will definitely be back to this place and hope the vibe never changes. If you want to celebrate your birthday, please come here. You will have a ball!! It's such a vibe!!

Mr. BBQ is hands down my favorite Korean bbq spot that I've tried! This is an all you can eat spot where you can either go for the standard menu for $44/pp or a premium menu for $55/pp. I went for the premium menu but ordered off both menus and let me say, all the meats here are AMAZING! My favorite meat to order is the galbi--I highly recommend ordering this. Alongside the amazing food, the service and vibes here are great as well. Our server checked on us often, changed our grill without us asking, and brought us sauces throughout our meal for us to try. Wait times here can be long dependent on when you go, so be sure to keep that in mind.

Place was fairly busy and service was still very quick and attentive. There were a lot of very good banchan dishes. From the lunch menu, we got 1. USDA prime beef brisket* good 2. Marinated USDA choice ribeye too sweet 3. Premium Wagyu beef belly* good 4. Marinated USDA prime chuck eye too sweet 5. Spicy marinated chicken: ok 6. Finely sliced pork belly good 7. spicy garlic pork butt too sweet 8. bean stew good 9. steamed egg ok I can see why it's popular. Overall food was better than expected. It's a bit far but would come back if in the area.

The wait is just as long as everyone tells you: at least two hours. There is a Boba shop right next-door so my friends and Ithere got a drink and waited it out. This is one of our friends favorite places to come to every time he is in the OC so we had to try it. Honestly, the meat was super high-quality and everything was really good. On the other hand were very low quality in my opinion. The radish paper tasted very old and we told the waiter and he got us new batch, but it was the same and we just did not want to take the risk anymore. The waiter was extremely professional, and so it wasn't his fault. Would come again only if someone really wanted to try it out, but the weight isn't necessarily worth it in my opinion. Atmosphere is pretty fun though, especially for birthdays!

Great experience and service thanks to Kaipo our server! The wait time was exceptionally long at over 2 hours when checking in at 5 pm on a Saturday. Luckily, our party of 7 utilized the time to catch up and play games as we waited. Since the waitlist is attached to Yelp, you can frequently check your status via the text link or through the app. Once we seated, we ordered immediately. Service was fast, the grill was efficient, and we ran into no issues once we got down to cooking. Kaipo took great care of us, memorized our orders accurately, brought us all the things we needed, and was very kind. We loved getting to know our server, as this made the experience very memorable and personal. Our favorite meats to order were the beef belly and rib fingers. Other notable picks included brisket and fresh pork belly (thick cut pork belly). Steamed egg was also included which was amazing!! Spicy sauce and sesame oil upon request. During our visit, we celebrated a birthday as well. LED sign, sparkler candle, and ice cream was brought out accompanying a song choice/artist that we liked. This was a special birthday and very celebratory. Only downside to this restaurant is parking can be tough. The lot is small and they share it with another small dessert spot that reserves 3 spots, in addition to take out and check in parking reserved spots as well. Leaving only the back area and one row in the front, you may need to wait around to park or get dropped off. Dinner price currently is $43.99 and premium dinner is $54.99. No drinks included.

Heads up, the parking lot is brutal and shared for 2 businesses. Carpool as much as possible during peak times! Came here for my friend's birthday with a party of 7 and had a great time. Apparently this is THE spot for birthdays. They bump the speakers and serve a huge sparkler with the complimentary ice cream, I think every 15 minutes we heard it go off during our time here lol. Good vibes. It's a bit on the pricier side (what isn't nowadays ) but they make up for it with a strong selection. We got the premium ayce menu which is about $55 per person. Some highlights: Scallop (premium menu only) - at first I was a bit skeptical but this is a must try if you like scallops. Juicy and well marinated - delicious and smoky after cooking. The rib and new york strip are also well-sized and very satisfying to eat. Classic staples like beef belly and tongue are solid too. Service was excellent - everyone was very friendly and attentive. Overall, highly recommend

Shout out to our server Kimberly. Very attentive , very friendly!!!

Kimberly is the best !! And food is totally premium! We Are so glad we came in a time that we can be situated fast :) Ty Kim!

Mr. BBQ is the best AYCE bbq in all of Orange County. Every meat that came to our table was top tier. Their banchan are on another level too. The kicker though is their spicy house sauce. Whatever they had in there needs to be bottled up and sold. Another plus on this place is the attentiveness of their staff. When we were running low on meat, there would always be someone there to check on us. Most places, when things start to get smoky, it takes a while before you can flag someone down. Here, they already have their spidey senses going and are immediately there with a fresh new grill. Mr. BBQ, if you were closer to me, I'd be a heavy set man. Thank you for being 40 minutes away from my house.

Food: We ordered the Galbi-Tang and Sul-Long-Tang, and our food came out pretty quickly. Both soups were really flavorful and comforting, and the broth was definitely the most memorable part of the meal. The banchan on the side was a little weaker compared to some other Korean spots I've been to, but the soups more than made up for it. You come here for Korean comfort food, metal dishes of banchan, enormous bowls of soup and stone pots hot enough to continue cooking your dinner while you eat it. And that stone pot is where I'd start. The gondre dolsot bibimbap was fantastic. Gondre is Korean thistle and here it gets worked through the rice with the egg, seaweed and everything else until the whole thing becomes earthy, savory and deeply satisfying. But the best part comes underneath. Leave it alone long enough and the rice against the stone develops that beautiful scorched crust, nurungji, which you eventually scrape loose and mix back through everything. That combination of the greens, sesame, egg and crispy rice is ridiculously good. There are dishes you finish because you're hungry and dishes where you keep digging around the bottom of the bowl because you're convinced there must be another good piece hiding somewhere. This was the latter. The galbitang was more complicated for me. The beef itself was excellent. Generous pieces, tender, falling easily from the bone and soft enough that our kids loved it. Plenty of green onion, too. My issue was the broth. I prefer galbitang on the restrained side so I can decide where it goes from there. Same reason I like seolleongtang arriving almost defiantly plain, give me the broth and let me dress it up myself with salt, saeujeot or whatever else I want. Han Yang has already made those decisions for you. The galbitang broth was noticeably sweet and salty and eventually it became a little much for me. That's preference as much as criticism, plenty of people will probably love it exactly as it arrives. I just wanted the volume turned down. The banchan was similarly mixed but mostly good. The napa kimchi was solid and nicely balanced. The kkakdugi was particularly good. The mustard greens, however, were ferociously sour. I like fermented food. These had me physically wincing. The dipping sauce for the galbi was excellent, though and I kept going back to it. Rice was average and a little dry. It did its job. Service was good and the whole experience was easy. The room itself has some age on it, tables are fairly close together and depending on where you're seated you may find yourself with a commanding view of the bathroom door. Nobody has ever requested the chef's table at the restroom, but here we are. Somehow I don't particularly mind any of it. Han Yang feels like a restaurant that knows what it is. It isn't polished into anonymity. People are here eating giant bowls of soup, mixing rice in scorching stone pots and getting on with their lives. And when a restaurant can put something as good as that gondre bibimbap in front of me, I can forgive a dry bowl of rice and a bathroom with excellent sightlines. Absolutely coming back. And next time, I'm getting that bibimbap again.
