My boyfriends sis got me a cake from here yesterday for my bday & omg it was soo good. Not overly sweet absolutely perfect.

I was looking for a place to grab a drink and a treat after work when I discovered Mr. Baker right down the street. I ordered a strawberry matcha latte, an almond croissant, and a strawberry croissant (for my sister). Two employees were working, and the service was very kind. However, I found the quality of the drink and food to be mediocre. The strawberry matcha was decent and visually appealing, but aside from its cute appearance, nothing stood out in terms of taste. My almond croissant was hard to bite into. This was disappointing as it was flavorful. I'm not sure if it was because I went in the afternoon, but I had to bite and chew harder than expected. I've never had that experience with a croissant before. My sister had no issues with hers, so I'm perplexed as to what went wrong with my croissant.

I recently visited Mr. Baker and had a mixed experience. I ordered the tiramisu latte, and unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing. The flavor was very watered down and didn't have the rich coffee and tiramisu taste I was expecting. On the positive side, I also tried the confetti cake slice and the carrot cupcake, and both were delicious. The cake was moist, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of my visit. The pastries seem to be the best part . The café itself is very spacious with plenty of indoor seating, making it a comfortable place to relax or meet up with friends. There is also outdoor seating available, which is a nice option on a pleasant day. Overall, while I wasn't impressed with the tiramisu latte, I really enjoyed the desserts. I'll definitely be back, but next time I'll be sticking to the pastries and cakes.

Eating treats guilt free tells my nervous system it's okay and I'm safe to enjoy them. . I was alone and it felt soo good to be sitting there quietly living in the moment.

Fresh strawberry cake...yummy.

I needed a cake last minute for a coworker's birthday and stopped by on a Friday morning. Thankfully the line wasn't too bad. I picked the strawberry cake and they were able to write a simple birthday message on it for me. The young lady who helped me was really nice and helpful. I also got a plain croissant, which was pretty good. Everyone at work enjoyed the cake. The strawberries tasted fresh, the cake itself was light, and the whipped cream frosting was just sweet enough without being too much. Definitely a good option if you need a cake on short notice.

Raspberry cream cheesecake soooo yummy

We usually have only gotten the double chocolate cake here. So glad that my son chose a different cake for his birthday YAY The raspberry cream cheese cake was wonderful. Cake moist frosting perfect sweetness and light....although for my personal preference I would throw in more raspberries just because I love them-so I did just that on my slice & threw in MORE raspberries from home!YES! Thank you bakers @MR BAKER Service respectful and courteous Ambiance clean, pretty & we are happy customers

I had a great experience at Mr. Baker! Madison and Sylvia were both very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed a cookie and a hot latte, and both were delicious. The service was excellent, and I look forward to coming back again.

Got here at 7:45 pm on Friday and the girl saying .. Sorry we are closed. Please make sure you update you hours properly so customers doesn't have to drive while you already closed !!!

I decided to give Mr Baker a second try, the first time was a bust! I hate writing bad reviews so came here again and was very pleased with my visit. This time, customer service was nice. The store is clean and all the desserts here taste and look amazing! This time we tried their lattes: Spanish latte and dirty chai...both were good. We also tried the ham and cheese croissant, that was delicious! I can see myself coming back if I ever want an elegant dessert!

So, I've been coming here for years. This is my trusty, nearby baker in case I need anything in a pinch, like a good birthday cake. The staff were friendly and readily available to take my order. I love their strawberry croissants and they've been one of my favorites for many years, now. We got a few little treats and everyone liked what they chose. A good bakery with gorgeous cakes and a large variety of smaller portions. A little on the pricier side, but that hasn't deterred me from going just yet. Ambience is peaceful, cafe is spacious and clean with a small outdoor patio. Dog friendly! (They sell doggy treats, too!)

Place needs to be cleaned asap. Patio needs to be power washed, windows cleaned. The customer service lacked and wasn't welcoming. Food wasn't the best I got a chocolate croissant and it had a gummy texture to the chocolate inside. Coffees were okay nothing special. I tried it won't be back and don't recommend.

I've been wanting to try this bakery for a while. I decided to go on a whim recently, and the desserts I chose were not bad at all. I ordered the strawberry croissant, and the red velvet cupcake. I'm not really into strawberries, but it was pretty, so I bought it. I took a bite big enough for me to taste it, and it was good, just not for ME, because, again, it was made of one of my least favorite fruits. I gave the remaining to my daughter who thought is it was really good. She's a gem at baked goods and cooking, might I add, so I'd take her word for it.. :) Now, Red velvet is my absolute favorite flavored cupcake. The problem is, it's complex and although I've had many, there has been only 3 in my lifetime that were pretty much perfect-one being here in CA. This one was perhaps slightly better than others I've tried, and worth the taste. Let me add, that the cream in the croissant, and the frosting on the cupcake was light, fluffy and delicious. Now that is where they excelled on MY visit. It's probably the first time I didn't feel the need to take some of it off of a cupcake. I also ordered a caramel latte, I'll just leave that there. Anyway, the customer service was good, and the restaurant is very nice. It's clean and well kept. I will return and try more of the cupcakes for sure, perhaps some of the other beautifully decorated cakes as well. I think this cafe is worth a visit for sure.

We were so surprised and pleased to see they offer a variety of drinks for $3. Shame on me for forgetting to get a picture of that part of the menu but from what I can remember, there was jasmine tea, milk tea, lattes and salted caramel cold brew. We got the salted caramel cold brew, a latte, a halo halo and a ube truffle. Oooh yummy everything was absolutely made to perfection. Getting these types of coffee drinks for under $5 is almost unheard of but I will for sure be back when in Rancho. The cafe is not easy to spot from the parking lot but they do have a sign to lead you there. It looks like a cool place to study or hang out, they have games and a few toys for littles. There is also some seating outside.

UPSIDE DOWN HALO HALO (with Ube Ice Cream) Been awhile since I've last tried this dessert and it was so good! Did pay a little extra to substitute vanilla ice cream for ube ice cream and it was worth it! You can't go wrong with the ube shake + ube ice cream + jellies + fruits inside this delicious dessert! It is in a much larger cup too, so this can be shared with two people. UBE CRACK CHEESECAKE The crunchy crust was a bit more coarse and had a shortbread sweetness to it. The ube flavor was there in the cheesecake, but you got that tangy cream cheese flavor too. Moist, creamy and sweet. Overall, I enjoyed it. UBE TRUFFLE This was very sweet. You got the ube cake inside which was like a cake pop, but much softer and creamier. It tasted like the ube, but overly sweet and the outer Oreo crust was sweet too. A little bit of vanilla flavor too. Probably won't order this again, but I will say the aftertaste was of ube and it was a pleasant aftertaste. UBE CRINKLE It tasted like a very soft shortbread cookie, but a bad one. The texture was too soft and it did crumble. The outer crinkle part was very sugary and sweet. I wouldn't reorder this. UBE MONSTER (MINI) Basically what is sounds like, an ube shake. It was good. The Oreo topping did go well with this ube shake. The ube shake is the same ube ice cream. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and nice, good service overall. AMBIANCE + SEATS Cozy and inviting. Lots of wooden tables and chairs for 4 people. There were outdoor seats too. Decorated with lots of Star Wars paraphernalia all over the cafe. Surprised they didn't play the theme song too. Lol. There's also a small area with games where you can play with friends and family. Bathroom was clean too. SELF-ORDER KIOSK You can order at the front register or order at the kiosk. I ordered at the front register the first time I was here and then ordered via kiosk the second time I was here. Both worked well with no issues. LOCATION + PARKING Adjacent to The NoyPitz Bar& Grill, Right next to Desu Pizza Bite. Hidden inside the courtyard. Lots of parking spaces. Not everything I tried was great here, but will be back for the Upside Down Halo Halo and Ube Crack Cheesecake!

I arrived a little after 1 p.m. (they close at 2 p.m.), knowing there was a chance some of the pastries would be sold out. Fortunately, there was no line when I arrived. The young woman helping me was very friendly. Before looking at the menu, I mentioned that I was looking for matcha, and she explained that they no longer carry it. She also directed me to the business next door, Greenhouse Matcha, which is owned by the sibling. I placed my pastry order, went next door, and when I returned, my box was ready. Everything was delicious. I didn't even notice the note about the freebie until I got home, which was such a sweet surprise. My goodies included a peanut butter cookie, gingerbread cookie, mixed berry tart, strawberry croissant, and a free monkey bread. Everything was delicious, and I'll definitely make sure to go earlier next time so I can try some of the other goodies.

Our server Michelle was friendly, fast, knew the menu well so was helpful, and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks, Michelle! The food was great! I got the 10oz steak with basted eggs, home style potatoes, biscuit with gravy, a side of sautéed mushrooms, and coffee. A big platefull of food had my med rare steak as I ordered, a plate-filling serving of potatoes cooked soft & crispy, eggs were runny and great, & the biscuits were soft with a generous helping of very flavorful gravy. I asked if they had a house hot sauce & Michelle brought me a spicy and tasty, homemade, habanero hot sauce. It wasn't as fiery hot as habanero can be, but it WAS spicy and super yummy. My mom got a "small plate" with home style potatoes, (1)soft scrambled egg, and a piece of crispy bacon. It was A LOT of food! The potatoes are cooked with peppers and onions then seasoned with their house seasoning. Very flavorful! I saw folks at another table who got massive pancakes and French toast with strawberries. Both dishes looked amazing! We will definitely return and I encourage anyone to check out Johnny O's!

The matcha itself has a strong, authentic taste that holds its own while still pairing nicely with the sweetness of the strawberry. The space is just as impressive as the drinks. It's the kind of café that makes you want to stay awhile, whether you're on your laptop or catching up with a friend. They also offer free WiFi, which makes it even more practical for longer stays. What really stood out, though, was the service. In a time when many aesthetically pleasing coffee shops tend to fall short on hospitality, this place does the opposite. I was greeted with a warm, genuine smile upon entering, and the staff went above and beyond by bringing my matcha and musubi directly to my table. Small gesture, big impact.
