I hurt my shoulder recently and I wasn't able to get it started at all, so I took it to M&S. The price was reasonable, it was done before he told me, and it starts on the first or second pull. Easily! It also has an electric start with a battery. I never ever got that to work and gave up on it. But whatever he did to the engine, I use the battery start and now I don't even have to use the pull handle. Lived here 20 years didn't know that M&S was here. Like others, I used to go to Dehne's. I don't normally write reviews, but I was so happy I wanted to let others know. Highly recommended.

I could drop the car off, get a courtesy ride via his then business partner, and then pick up the car after work and drive back to Lombard. This relationship lasted about 7 years until the job vanished. I was just doing a review for another shop and thought about Bill and all the trust I had in him and his crew. So although this review is somewhat late in coming, I believe that good people and good business people remain true to their image. I would trust Bill as much today and I did 15 years ago, and want to THANK him for all of his good work, fair prices, and for taking care of my car so well for the time we used the shop. R&M Performance is hands down the best shop in Illinois…read more Honesty, integrity, and transparency are what I value most in the people I do business with--and Rei and Mark truly embody all of these qualities. From the beginning, Rei set the tone by reviewing my project thoroughly, being upfront about costs, and even asking follow-up questions to make sure his team could deliver the work at the highest standard. That professionalism was my first green flag. Mark handled the work on my car and went above and beyond my request. I asked for before-and-after photos to help me track carbon buildup for future maintenance, and not only did he deliver, he provided even more detail than expected. The results spoke for themselves: No more idling during cold starts, City MPG improved from 24-26 to 30-32, when I first bought the car off the showroom floor I was so impressed with the quality and transparency that I immediately scheduled additional maintenance and performance upgrades. It's worth noting that I drive from Libertyville to Palatine--often during rush hour--because the service, professionalism, and results at R&M Performance are far beyond anything else I've experienced. The distance and traffic are never a concern when I know my car is in such capable hands. The service was so good, I even brought in my wife's car. That alone should tell you everything. If you are looking for quality, professionalism, honesty, and reliability, I HIGHLY recommend R&M Performance.
