Jacob at the front desk was gracious enough to have the wheel tire looked at within 30 minutes. I got a call back stating that it was the valve. As I went to go retrieve my wheel, Jacob had mentioned that it was free of charge and that no fee was going to be given. That's just one of the many reasons why I love discount tire. When this auto shop first opened in Northbrook years ago, I was very excited because I thought "yay...I don't have to take my car to my dealership anymore" since I felt I was always overcharged for their parts and services". Heart was a little bit cheaper than my dealership so I was happy to give them my business. The front desk people were always friendly over the phone and in person and they were never pushy. My issue with them is regarding their honesty. I urgently needed a new car battery 3 years ago (2023). I called them on a Friday afternoon to check if they had a car battery for my particular make/model/year in stock. I was told they had it in stock and to bring in my car first thing Saturday morning. I was able to drive my car to their shop the next morning and the store manager at the time made sure that I got a new battery right then and there. He even called me the next day to make sure my battery was working fine. WOW! I was truly amazed by this high level of customer service. I've never had anyone from my dealership call me to check in. So over the next few years, I kept going to Heart for other services and was a very satisfied customer until today (Sept 2026). We needed to replace our car battery today since it was leaking and my husband decided to replace it himself. We went to Costco to purchase the new battery and bring in the old battery (for disposal) and what did we notice today? Heart installed the WRONG size car battery in my car 3 years ago!!!!!!! The Costco employee at the tire center was like "Is this the car battery that was in your car?" due to the obvious size difference between the battery we were going to buy at Costco and the one installed at Heart! Seriously? Not sure if the wrong size affected my car since it was jiggling under the hood all this time! Yes, my car drove fine with the wrong size battery all this time, but they installed the wrong size! The casing for the battery was TOO SMALL!!! They probably don't expect most customers to go under their hood and inspect or change the battery themselves so they probably didn't think we would notice the size difference! VERY DISAPPOINTED! They could have mentioned to me that the car battery they installed was a little bit smaller in size but not to worry since it wouldn't affect my car. A heads up about this would've been nice. After some research on Yelp I found that Tire Boss had overwhelmingly positive reviews for the services that I was looking for and my experience was consistent with others. I bought a car fairly recently and had developed a very slow leak in my front tire. I brought it into Tire Boss where my technician Eric greeted me in a friendly manner and proceeded to inspect my car in a short amount of time. Once he was done inspecting the tire, he explained to me that he found a puncture and quoted me a price to repair it which was lower than I expected to fix it. He did not push for any other unnecessary repairs and I even asked if my wipers needed replacements, of which he provided a detailed explanation of why the replacement could wait with an explanation of when I should get them replaced (when streaks appear). Once I agreed to the repair and price, the team quickly performed the service and I was ready to go -- in and out in less than 1 hour including a short wait. After it was done, Eric proceeded to check me out with an explanation of the services performed including filling up all the tires to the manufacturer's suggested pressure and pulled up the vehicle directly to the door. Overall I was quite happy with how quickly service was performed, the reasonable prices, no hidden fees, not being upsold on any items, and having the same technician work with me from the beginning to end of the process.
