Anyways, I had experienced some trans slipping around 130k on my 2013 civic. He suggested getting a product called Dr. Tranny by lubegard (got it on amazon) for him to add after the drain and fill. My car is at 260k and my trans runs nice. Eddie is real nice and a good, down to earth dude. I'm glad I found him.

AAMCO ran diagnostics and found the faults…read more Transmission repairs are always cringe worth, but AAMCO charged a fair price for the work and even compared cost with other shops in the area. AAMCO also replaced a manifold gasket that was brittle. The car ran a lot better than it has in many years. I'm definitely going back to this AAMCO when I need more auto repairs!

It still wasn't ready but promised it would be ready on Saturday. That they would stay late to get it done. They said someone would call us. Not only did they not call us but they went home and my car is still not ready. They promised and promised everyday and then not only did they not have my car ready but they didn't even have the balls to call us to let us know. We found out after 4pm on Saturday when we called and the phone just rang and rang before going to voicemail. I NEED my car for early Sunday mornings for work and have to scramble now trying to figure out what to do. Not at all how a customer should be treated.

While, I would give my one-time experience with the mechanics a 0 star rating, I would give the follow-up by the ownership and absolute 6 star rating out of 5. That averages out to 3 stars. I would say that I have rarely seen this type of follow-up and care for their customers and their experiences from any other business. This was truly the example of good business practices. Mark compensated me for the outstanding bill associated with my issue and then some for my horrible day. I will assume my experience was an anomaly as I have never had this issue prior to this day. I asked for my car back and they told me that they would not release the car to me. I insisted and they still won't give me my car. I wanted to take the car for a second opinion but they refused to let me have the car. I said I needed to think about it so they took me home, I went to my usual repair shop and showed him the pictures they sent me and he said everything looked fine and that I was being scammed, it's called "Predatory Behavior". Preying on the elderly with older cars. Called told them later that day and told them not to do anything to the car I would pick it up in first thing in the morning. When I got there they said that they assumed I wanted them to repair it so they started replacing things. I never signed anything giving them authorization to work on the car. They said they needed time to put the car back together. Several phone calls later they told me that the bill would be $3169 worth of repairs to my very low milage car that looks new. When I went to pick up the car they told me that they had already installed the new parts so I had to pay for the repairs even though I told them not to do the repairs. This company claims to be a Christian based company but I am really skeptical. I would not go to this company for any kind of automotive repairs, just my opinion. I complained to them to no avail.
