My first time trying this place. When I crave Chinese I want it a particular way. They don't have a menu or website linked so I had to rely on UberEats and the descriptions about the food is very misleading! The sweet and sour chicken says deep fried however, it is NOT, which is what I was wanting. The chicken is very lightly breaded with no fried crunch or taste. It's actually just plain chicken sitting in the sauce. I open my steamed rice and right on top is a gnat, which is unfortunate for $18. The sauce tastes exactly how I'd want it however the chicken and rice is just not up to par description wise.

I'm updating my review. It's been a long time since i had last been to Moy's. The overall experience was much better than in previous visits. For lunch I ordered the bbq pork and duck. The bbq pork was very tasty and the duck was melt in the mouth good. The ambience is as always. It's basically a no frills restaurant and that is fine. The service was better than before.

There's no better way to kick off an at-home date night than getting some take out Chinese. We chose Moy's over a couple other places mainly because of location. The order was ready right when we got there and the staff was super friendly. However, the food itself was a huge disappointment. It literally lacked any sort of flavor. This was baffling. It tasted soggy and only like the cooking oil that was on it. No garlic, no spices, no soy sauce, nothing. All three things we tried ended up being the same -- extremely bland.

I ate at Moy's something like 20-22 years ago because my now brother and law picked it for a family gathering. Fast forward, and he picked this Chinese restaurant for Mother's Day. I'm not positive what I got the first time eating at Moy's, but I do remember not liking the food. Obviously, I was weary that anything would be different this second time around, but since it was in lieu of my mother's special day, I agreed to go. The menu is pretty Americanized. There are some dishes that aren't at, say, Mark Pi's, but still more Chinese-American fare as a whole. I wasn't able to get my first choice, Duck Bao Buns, because they are a pre-order item: the duck dishes here are cooked to order, so they need fair warning (ordered at least an hour ahead of time) to prepare. Their Orange Chicken was my second choice. I also got an order of Crab Rangoon to try. The Crab Rangoon was really good. A healthy portion of the cream cheese mixture, and the fried wonton wrapping was crispy and lite. I like how their sauces are in tiny squirt bottles so I can easily get more on my food if desired. My Orange Chicken was fantastic. Wok pan fried so the flavorful orange sauce lightly Caramelized to the juicy chicken pieces, which was a lot of protein, btw. Loved the plating of the thin slices of orange around the outside. The thin caramelized julienned orange peel cooked in with the dish was an awesome touch. The sauce had nice even orange flavor, but not too much to make it sickening sweet. I would definitely get this dish again. Price for quantity is good. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'll definitely be back next year (2023), as my brother-n-law always makes reservations here for Borge mothers on Mother's Day. I didn't go this year, as I forgot how much I enjoyed it last year. Mental note, Gwen!

Every dish is cooked with love and you can tell. If you are looking for homemade food and service that reminds you of being served by loved ones, try this place. Everything is good and the portions are large

The restaurant tastes good, but the service experience really needs to be improved. For example, the rice portion is too small, and I was only half full after eating it. When I asked for more rice, I was told that I had to wait until I finished eating before I could get more, and at the end, I was charged an extra $2 for more rice, which was very inconvenient. Also, I asked for two tissues and they only gave me one, which seemed a bit stingy. I was told that it was a waste to put an extra paper on the table. In addition, I accidentally fell in the restaurant toilet once and only got it a little dirty, but I was complained about, which made me feel a little disrespected. Although these are small details, they do affect the overall dining experience. I hope that the restaurant can pay more attention to the comfort of customers while maintaining the deliciousness.

Located right across the OSU campus, Moy's Restaurant offers authentic Chinese food with big flavor. It's a family-owned business, and a Columbus staple. The inside of the restaurant isn't very big, but they have tables that accommodate both small and large parties. The service was fast, and I loved EVERYTHING that came out of the kitchen. The food was DELICIOUS!! My table shared: - Duck skin bao buns: crispy duck skin, which you put inside fluffy white bao buns, plus hoisin sauce. The duck skin was crispy but not dry, and not greasy at all. - Mango shrimp: This was my favorite dish out of everything. The shrimp is lightly fried and sauced to perfection. It's not overly sweet by the fruit, but you get a mix of sweet, sour, and everything yummy. - Veggie Lomein: solid noodle dish with lots of veggies mixed in. - Sizzling beef: The meat is sliced, stuffed with green peppers, and served on a sizzling hot skillet. The meat is tender and perfectly grilled. - General Tso Chicken: a classic Chinese dish, but without any heavy greasiness. Although I was only visiting Colombus for a weekend, Moy's served up an amazing meal to remember!

    Fish and beans

I have been looking for a good cantonese style restaurant in columbus and found that at Moy's! Family owned and very welcoming - I have only been a few times but the staff already recognize me! Small dining interior and it is always bustling, but that contributes to the family feel and reminds me of my childhood weekend lunch outings. I got the roast duck and beans with fish - both were really good! Well-seasoned and delicious. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cantonese dining experience with traditional dishes. I will definitely keep coming back!

When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. We were greeted and seated quickly and service was very friendly. As we were hungry, we took a mi Ute to decide what to order. We had planned on storm fish, but made a last minute decision to Sichuan sliced beef (we loveeee a numbing pepper!) with starts of egg roll and spicy wontons. Seriously those wontons are one of the best things in the whole city. They're SO good I could eat a few orders of those alone and be happy. Egg rolls are nice, but just a simple egg roll. Nicely crispy and tasty with the spicy mustard. The Sichuan sliced beef was the perfect thing for a chilly rainy dinner. We love spicy so I'm a bad judge of heat level, but this is spicy but a numbing spicy. Lovely spooned over steamed rice. The cabbage and bean sprouts were my favorite bits in this dish because they added a crunch. Might ask for extra next time!

Plus, I figured hibachi can take awhile, and I usually don't have a long time for lunch. Today I had a little more time, and I made a point to head over. It is a bit out of the commercial sprawl at the corner. Look for the food truck, that's the first thing I saw, and it helped me find where to turn in. I wasn't sure if there would be dine in, but there is, plenty of seating inside and out. Inside there are seats at the counter, plus booths, plus I think a couple tables. Menu is pretty basic: hibachi and a few sides. I got steak and chicken, with fried rice, and you pick two vegetables so I picked cabbage and bean sprouts. You get a Yum Yum sauce, and you can add others, but I didn't need them. And the sauce container they gave me was plenty big. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked in a nice sauce. The fried rice was great. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And it all came out in about five minutes. They had a steady stream of carry out customers, but they still got mine on the grill, apparently as soon as I ordered it. Fast and good, and competitively priced for hibachi. A big portion, but not a huge, two days' worth of leftovers portion. But I was stuffed and couldn't finish it all. When I saw the drink cooler with just water and a few juices, I figured I'd have to go with those, but they do have fountain drinks. And they actually have a pretty good variety, cola, diet cola, cream soda, blueberry, cherry I think, and a few others. Anyway, several pleasant surprises, the food lived up to its reputation, I was in and out fast, and for not a whole lot of money in this day and age. I will be back.
