Happy Hour Review! As a dedicated football fan, I can officially seeing myself coming here to catch a few games on the screen. They have over 10 televisions and you're welcomed to ask for your game to be shown on one of them. Guest service was excellent! The entire staff were uniformed in black and their personalities were friendly and professional. Our waitress Nicole was the best! A rockstar with excellent recommendations for drinks and small bites. I started off my happy hour solo and sat in the bar tabling area. The ambiance was beautiful and I enjoyed watching the bartenders mix up speciality drinks for guests. I later transitioned to a booth table area once my boyfriend joined me. HH Drinks ranged from $6-12 and the selections will blow you away...a steal in DC!!!!! I ordered the espresso martini which was delicious but the star of the show was the Aperol spritz, which I continued drinking throughout the evening. HH bites were $12 with limited selections. However, the plates are shareable. I ordered the Thai chili chicken and the pork potstickers (veggies available). The pork stickers were really good. Freshly prepared and well balanced with a delicious mango salsa which welcomed sweetness to your palate and soy sauce for a bit of savory notes in each bite. The star of show however, was the Thai chili chicken bite. OMG! This dish is what you call culinary genius! It's sooooooo good and the balance of flavors is proof of that. The chicken was nicely diced and lightly fried then topped with a well balanced sweet/spicy sauce. Then to complement the dish, they added their house special wonton chips which carried a beautiful nachos flavor. AMAZING all around! And yes! The wontons are refillable! Great music Lively ambiance once the HH scene picks up Elevated sports bar with amazing drinks and food to celebrate your team! Don't delay, visit this spot. It's worth it!

Great service, great drinks, ample selection of drinks, good food, large portions, nice patio! The chocolate old fashioned was great although not super chocolate-y. The chocolate martini was amazing. The bramble was good with fresh crushed raspberries! The tofu power bowl was huge, filling, and tasty. The spicy mayo WAS a bit spicy but the peanut sauce wasn't. The breakfast potatoes are tasty here and come with a good sauce. Nice outdoor patio. Good place!

NEW, sexy, boughie, classy...what more could you want from a DC restaurant? Did I mention the food here is ABSOLUTELY delicious? I found Moxies on OpenTable after looking for the perfect spot to celebrate part 1 of my birthday weekend with my girls. Much like Miss Knowles, I needed an Act 1, 2, and 3 to celebrate my season. The description online said that this spot was "modern, classy, and vibrant". I'm happy to report that Moxies lived up to all of that and then some. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a complimentary glass of prosecco and birthday wishes from the beautiful staff...what a lovely touch! They even threw in a free dessert for the occasion. I told them they'd easily get 5 stars on Yelp from me for that alone lol ;). Luckily, the menu left an even better impression on me. It happened to be restaurant week when we visited (another bonus of being an Aquarius baby) and we had the chance to sample several items amongst the group. From the potstickers, hot baked crab dip, chicken madeira rigatoni, miso ramen, and steak frites- everything was melt in your mouth good. Bonus points to the white chocolate brownie... absolutely delectable. Overall, Moxies was perfect from start to finish. The food was amazing, the interior was gorgeous, and the restrooms were pristine. Details that matter, ok!? To top if off, they treated me like an absolute princess during my special day and made me and my guests feel truly cared for. I'm already planning a return visit. I can't wait to try more of their menu offerings. Total yum!

The food was overall good, and the generous portion sizes were definitely a highlight. While the staff seemed slightly inexperienced, the manager was consistently checking in on tables to ensure everything was going well. The cocktails were also good and paired nicely with the meal. It is a solid place for dinner, though it seems to turn into a club later on in the night. Restaurant is on the louder side

4 month old restaurant and I would say it definitely needs work. The ambiance and feel of the restaurant is clean and new but that's the extent of it. There are multiple TVs around the bar that are good for watching with a small group. The cocktails were tasty but took a while to come out. Service was so incredibly slow. It took so long to order mains and additional drinks. Our waitress would just randomly disappear. We arrived at 6:30 with a reservation and didn't leave until 9pm since everything took so long. Food was quite mid. Appetizers were decent, nothing special. My mahi sandwich was incredibly dry and had no flavor. The salad was floating in dressing. My partner ordered the chipotle mango chicken that was also very dry and the chipotle rub was clumpy. The quinoa didn't make sense with the dish, "it looked like a tower of dark brown." The red pasta didn't really have any flavor and the rigatoni that is a Moxie special was incredibly butter forward.

ugh! So excited to talk about my favorite new spot in the heart of DuPont! Moxies is an incredible new American restaurant/bar with absolutely stunning decor, perfect for a date night or girls night out! It truly looks like you just stepped into a VIP lounge in Miami. The service was amazing; we were assisted by our waitress truly every 5 minutes, which is so lovely and rare to find! I got the sticky toffee pudding, which was DELICIOUS and such a great size for the price. I cannot wait to be back!!

10/10 - New Favorite Spot! Moxies instantly impressed with its vibrant atmosphere and warm, welcoming staff. The vibe is modern, energetic, and sets the tone for a great experience.

The bourbon blueberry or blackberry smash was phenomenal!

I stumbled across the Yelp page and wanted to check it out. I was surprised by the food and drink options as they had interesting varieties. The chili momo and mango habanero wings were to die for, I would want to stop by just for dinner! I also enjoyed the Moscow mule, I believe I overheard the bartender saying they make their ginger beer in-house. They also have DJs that come through around 9pm on weekends and some weekdays. This is a fun place to hangout and enjoy the company of amazing servers, bartenders, and other people - I've never had anything but a great experience here!

Happy hour (3-7) offers beers ranging $1-3, wine $4-6, $7 margs, and I think a few other drink specials, but those options were good enough for me and I went with the wine. Service was a little slow at first, but the one bartender working was friendly and cheerful and doing her best to keep up with everyone until another two eventually showed up or came back from break. Atmosphere was really chill. I liked the dim lighting, everyone was casual and relaxed with a dj setting up in the corner, some hip hop and classic 00s rap bumping, and a steady flow of young-ish friend groups coming in for cheap beer around 5pm. I tried not to evesdrop on the couple next to me at the bar arguing, but their fight sort of added to the entertainment and general vibe. On the other side of me was an adorable couple unsuspectedly ordering fruity drinks and laughing. Totally will be back whenever the end of my work day brings me to this area.

This is such a perfect spot for either a date night or a fun night out with friends. The speakeasy vibe, the chic atmosphere, and the music (a smooth, chill house mix) all come together so effortlessly. Plus, being open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays is a huge bonus. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time - this place stays busy for a reason. From my previous visit, I remember having a ravioli dish, what I believe was a braised beef, and their sliders with duck fat fries - all of which were incredible and clearly memorable since I was thinking about them for months. The sliders paired with those fries were honestly a standout. This time around, we had to get the duck fat fries again, and they were just as phenomenal as I remembered. The cheesesteak oysters were easily a 10/10 - fresh, meaty, and honestly surprising coming from someone who used to not even like oysters. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was well-seasoned (as expected, slightly chewy), and the fried calamari, which was light, not heavy at all, and paired perfectly with the sauces. The tuna tartare was another standout - super fresh, soft, and practically melted in your mouth. For drinks, we went all in. The Dirty Diamond martini with blue cheese olives was great, though if you like your martinis extra filthy, I'd recommend specifying that. The Hemingway Special had a nice subtle sour kick, and the vanilla mint espresso martini was strong (you can definitely taste the alcohol) but still smooth and frothy. The Mary Pickford with Malibu was surprisingly delicious - almost like a mocktail. The Paloma was solid, and the Code Red cocktail gave me slight cosmopolitan vibes. But the real star was the dulce de leche espresso martini--absolutely unforgettable. What really ties everything together here is the service. The staff - from the hosts to the servers - are attentive, welcoming, and genuinely elevate the experience. Overall, Code Red is one of those places you keep coming back to. If you're looking for a stylish speakeasy atmosphere with great food, drinks, and energy, this is it.
