Lia's is a favorite so we gave this a try for lunch. Expensive- should have gone down the street to Tate's Ordered the fish and chips- where's the fish? The slaw was spicy- nice touch. The green coriander sauce was delicious. Great hostess - service meh

Had an amazing experience at Chef Geoff's thanks to our server Alexis ,Super attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was smooth from start to finish. The wild mushrooms are the best ,its my favorite things now aside from Alex The service felt genuine and welcoming, and Alex really elevated the whole dining experience. Food and atmosphere were great, but the hospitality stood out the most. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant across from our hotel. The service was super friendly and accommodating. My son fell out of a high top seat and they quickly moved us which was so nice after an embarrassing situation. I really enjoyed the blackberry margarita which was tart and delicious. I had the tofu chili crunch and it was so tasty. Kids had burgers and Mac n cheese which they loved. Husband had a pork chop and licked the plate clean. Overall really great experience

I must of came in on an off day, which was a Tuesday of all days. I sat at the bar & the bartender Jose U dropped a drink off in front of me within 3 minutes of arriving & sitting bar top. He looked at it and realized the guy 3-4 seats down ordered it and gave it to him. It looked good so I ordered one. I ordered the Salmon and the Lobster Mac & Cheese. He said it was on the restaurant week menu, I said OK, even though I didn't see it on there. 55 minutes passed by without the bartender checking on my food / on me in general. I asked if he could check the kitchen on my food and he had a look on his face like he had messed up. "What'd you order again? Did the other bartender take your order?" Knew by his response I was in a shituation. He did bring me the lobster Mac & cheese about 15 minutes later. It was really good. The salmon never came out unfortunately. The manager (dressed in the grey blazer) ended up supposedly comping the meal. Ended up wasting an hour 45 minutes here. The excuse was something like my order went to another customer and there was a mixup with the seat #'s. What actually happened is I had 2 bartenders take my order at the same time - both assumed the other input it in the computer, however neither did. You'd think Tuesday wouldn't be as busy as a Friday / Saturday experience here, but I'd hate to be here on a really busy shift. Bad experience all around, though I do like the ambience here. Wish l would have had a chance to properly try out what I ordered. If you have a lot of patience, wouldn't mind recommending this place. If you want to have your food out in a timely manner though (and actually eat it), hope you're more patient than I was. Won't be back.

I have been thinking about this place since I tried it during DC restaurant week last summer, so that should tell you about the quality of the food. The interior is nice and spacious. There is plenty of seating available at the bar, on the first floor, and patio. We were served by our waiter Arthur from the moment we sat down. He made a big impression on us through his extensive knowledge of the menu, thoughtful suggestions, and proactiveness with fixing mistakes with our orders; I just had to ask for his name. He alone made the dining experience spectacular. The food portions were considerably sizable. I brought leftovers home after ordering an appetizer, entrée, and dessert from the Restaurant Week menu. The wings were crisped to perfection, the salmon was juicy and seasoned, and the sorbet was soft and tasty. The food will have me return again and again for more. With the chaos of restaurant week, I was surprised to see that the staff was still able to deliver our food to the tables in a swift major. The manager came around a couple of times to engage with us and ask our opinion of everything which was really nice. The service was impeccable.

From the start, the hostess and waiter were incredibly welcoming and the vibes were great. They seated us right when we walked in even though we didn't have a reservation due to the debacle at the other restaurant nearby. They had a great sense of humor, so the service was made the whole experience fun and was the best part of the dinner. Honestly, this was some of the best service I've ever had. They were also very accommodating of my allergies and very kind about it too. The food was good, and the patio was nice and warm. This restaurant had been popping up on all of my searches for DC restaurants with heated outdoor seating and great food, and I can see why. Highly recommend! This restaurant really saved my night.

We had a wonderful night at Chef Geoff's. My friends and I were there for a few hours because the vibes were exactly what we wanted and Michelle was an absolute delight. She was so attentive, always checking on us without us feeling like it was overdone. She was lovely and great with the recommendations. Our meal was also great. Across us we had the March pasta special, short ribs, Caesar salad with calamari, wings, and the butter pecan cheesecake. Every night was great. We'll definitely be back

We went here on a Saturday evening. Finding a parking spot was a nightmare. We had reservation and got seated right away. The ambiance was casual. The interior was modern. We enjoyed the sweet and spicy cauliflower and fall burrata for starters. The fall burrata has arugula and fig jam. The Cajun chicken bucatini was hearty. It had bacon, spinach, tomato cream and parmesan. The triple chocolate decadence was delicious. Great consistency with different textures from the salted caramel gelato, chocolate ganache and mousse. It was busy and it was evident with the service. We felt the pressure and the rush of our server who did not have much time to ask about our food. Nevertheless, they were very accommodating with the request for a candle on the cake for our friend's birthday celebration and they sang for her when they served the cake.

We needed a bit before going to an evening reception. This place is close to our hotel, so we headed there on a cold afternoon and took advantage of their Happy Hour. Really good. I had the first taco and the steak taco. My husband had the happy hour burger. Both were lots of food and really good. I also had their cava, nice and light. Too bad we were all snowed in the next few days or we would have returned! Service was superb.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. Down at the lobby is this restaurant. I was advised by the front desk to try this place out. I took their advise and it sure did not dissapoint! First night we ate dinner. Our waiter Arthur greeted us and asked if we would like some beverages. Ordered a fancy cocktail for my wife and a super mug Michelob ultra. This mug was huge! You get your money's worth for the draft beer i ordered. I was surprised because the price tag of $13, you usually get short changed with half the amount for the same price :) Ordered our main entrees of Mediterranean Seabass and Pork ribs with rice. Received within minutes. All was so good!! Tasted delicious!! Cooked to perfection. Decided to try out breakfast as well the next morning. Again this place did not dissapoint. All was very good. Came back that same evening to eat dinner. Ordered Gumbo soup, Beef raised Ribs and Pasta. Omg! Delicous with my Super mug of Michelob ultra. Haha. Big Kudos for Vee serving us that night. He did an exceptional job as our assigned server. His first night of work as he stated, he did a heck of a job accommodating us. Good job! If you are in the area. Try this place out. Its decor is up to date and is somewhat fancy with reasonable prices. You won't be dissapointed. I was not dissapointed from my 3 visits here within a 1.5 day period. Excellent choice. Professional staff and excellent customer service.

This is an easy spot to have a drink/dinner after work. We walked in at 7 and were seated right away on a Tuesday. The girl who got our water for us was probably the friendliest person I've ever met. Didn't get her name but she was short, blonde and had a smile the whole time. Our waiter was much less friendly. He seemed like he was having a bad day and didn't even want to make eye contact with us. We ordered Calamari and got Cauliflower instead. Not a huge problem and I know it happens but he didn't come over and apologize or talk to us about it after we told the girl. He just insisted she come take the wrong order off our table. We thought that was silly since they're going to throw it away. The vibe in the restaurant wasn't anything special - very casual/chill. Seemed like a lot of different kinds of groups. I did like that the windows were open. But it was so strange they were playing bird sounds pretty loud on the speakers. Bucatini tasted great and focaccia was super tasty - I def recommend these two things.

Another rave review for chef Geoff's as a great place for a group brunch. We had 11 people, but the service didn't lag, we never ran out of water for the table, it wasn't too loud for conversation, we were not rushed out, and we even got separate checks per person! Very impressive! I enjoy the tofu scramble and people said the burgers were good.

We did book a reservation and the restaurant was pretty crowded for Sunday dinner. We got the sweet and spicy cauliflower to start. It was very flavorful and we liked the thinly sliced jalapeño and fresh cilantro. The cauliflower was not super breaded. I ordered the mushroom ravioli, which came with about 8 small raviolis and a ton of mushrooms. The fresh cheese and roasted tomatoes mixed with the mushrooms and sauce went so well together. My boyfriend ordered the fish tacos, which were pretty good. The fish was well seasoned and the avocado and sauces added some nice creaminess. Definitely think my favorite was the mushroom ravioli. Pretty good food if you're looking for a typical American fare spot!

The bartenders were friendly, filled waters promptly and were fast. I came in about 5pm on a Saturday and there were only 5-6 other people at the bar, but the dining area was pretty full. This place has an almost pioneer-ish vibe with all of the taxidermy on the walls mixed with like your Uncle's cabin in the woods in the 60s. I was digging it. I started with the buttermilk biscuits and pimento cheese. Wow. I could have eaten all of them. The bartender and I agreed that it wasn't a good idea. He said he did it once. I also had a mint julep, and while I normally like them, this one was a little different. The presentation was cool, but the drink was all ice, which was disappointing. For dinner I had the Butcher's Steak, medium well (should have gotten medium) and the Brussels sprouts. I'm thinking about the leftovers now. The space is gorgeous; I love all the plants, and the light brown, light blue, and white color combination for their furniture makes the space look classy and modern. The light brown leather couches are comfortable, and I love the way they circle around the tables to create a natural, cozy booth. Our food was just as beautiful as the space. The Restaurant Week menu comes with an appetizer, main, and dessert. Given how indecisive I can be (and how expansive the normal menu is), I was grateful to have my choices narrowed down a bit. I started off my meal with the octopus. The octopus was remarkably tender and not overly chewy, and had a delightful char that gave it a slightly smoky flavor. They double downed on the smokiness with their burnt chili oil, which, alongside the lemon and salsa verde, gave the dish a wonderfully balanced smoky, savory, and slightly acidic flavor. The crushed potatoes had a lovely crispy shell on the outside and served as a great base for the tender octopus. The main course was probably the easiest choice of the evening -- I'm absolutely obsessed with branzino, so the second I saw it on the Restaurant Week menu, I knew that was what I had to get. The fish is beautifully broiled, with a nice, crispy skin and super tender, flaky flesh. It's topped with a few pieces of roasted garlic and a wedge of lemon. The fresh lemon juice, as well as the lovely side salad, offered a great pop of freshness to bring the whole dish together. And finally, for our dessert, I chose the chocolate torta. This wonderful dessert is remarkably rich and decadent, with a strong dark chocolate flavor. It's topped with a lovely marsala date sauce and scoop of sheep's yogurt ice cream, but still doesn't feel overly sweet. The sheep's yogurt in the ice cream offers a bit of tanginess, and I loved the addition of the candied walnuts for a bit of crunch.

For bites, we shared the chicken nuggets with caviar (yes, nuggets and caviar... and yes, they were delicious) and the lemon garlic shrimp, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Everything we ordered hit the mark. Prices are about what you'd expect for K Street and the overall vibe. Think $20-$25 cocktails, $20+ appetizers, and $35+ entrees. Portions, both drinks and food, lean on the smaller side, which is probably the only thing that might make you pause and wonder if it's slightly overpriced. ‍ Service Service was great. Our server checked on us regularly without hovering and offered helpful suggestions when we asked. Everything came out timely, and we felt taken care of throughout the night.
