My gf took me here for a belated birthday dinner over the weekend. She made a reservation so we were seated immediately. We had a few drinks prior to coming here so we were already having too much fun. Our server's name was Sarah and she was so patient with us. She even gave us a pitcher of sangria on the house. Unfortunately, her shift ended mid-meal so we got another server named Chantelle (I hope?). She was wonderful too! Service that night was top-notch and it made my birthday feel more special. :) We started with the Mediterranean dip, which is new and apparently replaced the bruschetta. It was so good and flavorful. I could've probably ate a full serving to myself...I got the red thai curry for my main and it was really good and the portion was pretty big! Great service experience, food and beer. I've been here a handful of times and all have been great experiences so far. I recommend trying the salmon avocado cobb salad, it was excellent. Another time I was there I tried their lettuce wraps, found that they were way too salty, so they replaced it with another item from the menu: the korean fried cauliflower, with no charge on the bill, how it should be. This location is right near my work so its our go to when someone has a birthday or is leaving the office. They always are really great about taking our order a few hours before and its always ready and hot when we get there. The server always splits our bills up which is great as well. I really like the sushi cones, so tasty! They are something I actually crave and need to get time and time again! I've heard the arugula salad is really good too. It is a bit pricy there but the food is good. The only time I didn't enjoy my food was when I ordered the lettuce wraps and the lettuce looked like it had been almost frozen, it had that clear look to it....wasn't that great. The calibeau chocolate cake is AMAZING. the best chocolate dessert I've ever had. The one thing I was a little shocked about was the state of the patio. The fireplace looks horrendous. Whoever designed it didn't take into account that it rains in BC, there is rust marks going down the seams of whatever product they used surrounding the fireplace and the glass where the fire is was milky and really mouldy looking. yikes! there are food stains on the fabric furniture and grease stains on the concrete. Looks like it needs to be cleaned up and maintained....not something I expected for a higher class bar-type restaurant. It was a total turn off and I don't think i'll be sitting outside anytime soon. Came to this location for my birthday dinner service was really slow it took 20 mins just for the waitress to take our drink orders. Once me and my girlfriends made our order for food it took over 30 mins, the waiters and waitresses were too busy chatting up the business meeting group that was there. Since right next door and sharing the same parking lot, Moxie's is very convenient to Sandman Signature location in Langley. Casual vibe, friendly staff, slightly loud environment when busy - which seems to be most of the time. Not cool to have no choice but walk through the crowd of smokers congregated right outside the front door. Their emphasis is on locally sourced, fresh products. They also have gluten free and soy protein options. Plenty of choices: from salads, soups to hearty mains. Found the ribs to be adequate. Note to self: next time restaurant tells you what they're good at (locally sourced fresh ingredients), order that instead. Heard good words from fellow diner regarding the broccoli cheese soup. read more

Moxie's is exactly what you should expect from a chain restaurant. The food is pretty consistently good, the music is loud, there are multiple TVs on to take my attention away from the table conversation, and there's always a 8-0 ratio of female servers to male servers. If I had a death row meal it wouldn't be Moxie's, but I don't mind coming here from time to time for a bite. You know it will be good and there's some decent variety on the menu. They've done well to pair with the Sandman hotels, well played on that front. Can't give them 5 stars, but I would give them a solid 4. read more

I have lived in 3 developed countries. This is by far the first of a kind and terrible customer service ever. We went to this location on a Sunday afternoon. As soon as we got to the rooftop patio the waitress says "sorry you can't dine in because we don't allow kids" I get it, I'm a 5 ft petite girl. I'm also 29 yo with two masters degrees. I get carded all the time, I'm totally fine with that. But this waitress did not ask my age or any ID. One of my friends asked if we could get a free drink after telling her what she just did. She agreed to get us a free drink but I never got a free drink. I got charged for the drink I ordered. And I didn't argue while paying because I'm not someone who fights for $8 and honestly I was just put off to ask for anything else. This is just not ok. When such things happen you wonder if it's because you're a person of color and if a waitress actually has the right to say something like that to guests of a popular chain restaurant. read more

Well, the Langley, BC Vancouver moxies on 200th is just a joke. The servers are great, efficient and friendly but the kitchen can't cook or keep up with the hotel / restaurant at all. The managers have tried to give me 3 free meals but clearly don't try to solve or resolve. I travel lots and know that rushes happen, don't push out poorly cooked food and then try to say we will comp you..... I don't care for that nor do the servers. Get a handle on this as it has happened 3x in the past month. Sandman, consider who you partner with as this hotel is run very well!!! read more

Shared a pizza, which was really good, but a little heavy on the hot peppers. I was Ok with that, wife not so much. This was one of the best meals out I've had in a long time! Definitely one of the best places in town. My husband said his steak was better than the high end steakhouses in New York we have been to. A very nice restaurant in an odd part of town, but easy to get to and very nice ambiance. We had a party of 6, they accommodated us well, and food was outstanding. Quick service and a great menu selection. They are very kind and sensitive to food allergies and will make every attempt to prepare your food accordingly. The salads are fresh and very tasty. The food took a few to come out but was worth the wait. The best quesadillas I have had. Kids enjoyed it so much we had to return the next morning for breakfast. Went here for valentines, and made a very great choice by doing so! We ordered their calamari which is absolutely amazing and contains shrimp and jalapeños as well. We also got another appetizer called the ginger tuna or something. Its basically seared tuna with pickled ginger and bean sprouts served on a wonton crisp with ponzu on the side YUM! For the main course i ordered the crab and shrimp linguini (i think thats what it was called). It came and didn't seem like a lot but i could barely finish it! It was so delicious and filling! Not sure if they're understaffed, but every time I go here for lunch the service has been incredibly slow, with the server forgetting to bring plates for appies, and having to wait 10 minutes for water, etc. On top of that, EVERY single time I've been coming here for the past 6 months (and I come here every couple weeks), I've had to send at least one thing back because it's been dirty; first a wine glass that had a lipstick stain, then cutlery that had food remains, dirty water glass, etc. It's almost turned into a game with us now, spot the dirty dishes! And all we get is a "sorry about that" from the waiters The food is amazing though, that's why we keep coming back, and why this place gets 3 stars rather than 1. We went to the Langley location for lunch for my birthday. When we walked in there was no one at the front desk, so we walked into the restaurant and looked around for someone and couldn't find anyone! It took about 10 minutes before the girl came back to the front desk. We told them that we were on our lunch break and we ordered all of our food right away in order to save time. The food was delicious and didn't take too long to come out. When we were finished we were looking for our server to pay our bills since our lunch break was almost over and she was nowhere to be found. We had to ask another server to track down our server. This took about another 10 minutes before she came to our table. My coworkers had ordered a slice of cake ahead of time to be delivered to our table for my birthday, but the cake was never brought out. good food, good atmosphere,but terrible service. They could be really busy during the lunch hour if they had better service. read more

We will never go back to this location! Abbotsford is amazing, but this location, no no no. It is very loud and the food was disappointing. I wish I had taken pictures. My steak salad was dripping in dressing and only had half a dozen little pieces of steak on top and couple little pieces of goat cheese. I didn't complain, but I should have. My hubby had steak with mushrooms, sure didn't look like a 10 oz steak and the plating was very unappetizing. Friends steak was overcooked. Sent it back, asked for a rush so he could eat with us and not watch us, the waiter said, they are very busy, could be awhile..... , came back with fatty piece of meat, that took forever, couldn't eat it, at least he got comped for his meal. Came in because I didn't want to drive (staying at the attached hotel). Nothing special about it, its an average chain restaurant. I had the parmesan chicken sandwich, they tried too hard. This actually happened in early November of 2013 on a Saturday night but it has still left a bad taste in my mouth. I had come in with my husband to this location with 3 friends around 10 pm after a dark and wet 10k run we had just enjoyed downtown. We live by this location so we went home to put on some dry clothes and try to look semi decent so that we could enjoy our well deserved celebratory drinks and meals. We had walked in and went to the bar side as we know that they are open later. We have been to this location many times and it's always been one of my favourites for the good food and good atmosphere. We took a booth that was right across from the bar, we were pretty happy with our table as you get pretty good service, or at least that what you think. We had sat down at the table, took our jackets off and waited for one of the servers to come around. We waited, and waited after 5 minutes we still hadn't received any acknowledgement from any of the servers and had received no menus at all. We decided to wait it out a little bit longer, during this time there were 3 servers all just chatting among themselves at the bar. I tried to gain eye contact with them to get their attention, and I had but none of them came by our table at all. In total we waited around 15 minutes by the time we packed up and left, I have never walked out of a restaurant before due to bad service, ever. The actions made by the servers in the situation were just outright rude. I worked as a server in the hospitality industry for several years and this is absolutely not the way to treat guests and it is definitely not the standard that has been set within the industry. We ended up going to another restaurant that had opened recently in the Willowbrook area and we were very happy that we took our business there as staff was friendly and the food and drinks were awesome, it may have been a little bit longer of a drive but it was well worth it. I have not been back to this Moxie's location since, and I don't know if I will in the near future which is sad because it is less than 5 minutes from my home. Langley has had a big surge in good restaurants opening in the Langley area recently which gives you many options to choose from. In order to stick out from the rest you have to give awesome service in order to be picked from the others. Sad to say but Moxie's is no longer in my top 5 places to go to. read more

I took my wife out to have dinner for our Anniversary at Moxies i ordered steak Oscar the steak was over cooked and like rubber the crab was out of a can the sauce was bland the veggies were so raw it was hard to bite into them . my wifes steak had so much salt on it she was unable to eat it we discussed this with our waitress and the manager and they said they were sorry to hear this, unbelievable other than being overpriced rude servers awlful food would never recommend MOXIES to my enemies! read more
