I used Moving Band to move to & from a 1-bd apartment on a busy mid-week day. I was really glad they offered a quick in person quote on the amount of items I had, and also offered a great rate. On the day of the move, the crew (Oroz, Edil, and Mike) kept me updated with their traffic situation and ETA and worked around some difficulty with the terrain of my location and disassembly of a bed frame to get everything packed safely and securely for transport. All the potentially-fragile pieces were well protected and wrapped in blankets and stretch wrap. Even though the moving process ran longer than expected due to traffic and terrain, the crew was efficient, didn't charge me for the time spent on two short breaks, and were really respectful of my pet peeve of not getting shoes on recently-cleaned carpet areas. Now days you have so much options to go with, which is good but at the same time once you need to choose a company you have so much stress because you don't really know who you can trust. Before we found Moving Band, we worked with national company who seams like had a great reputation. Guess what, on first day of moving they damaged very expensive marble dining table. When I submitted the damage report to them, they said you need to contact their insurance. After weeks of writing back-and-forth they comeback to me with $30 compensation. Unfortunately I had to learn this way and I hope you don't have to. Since then I had guys from Moving Band and I just feel bad there's only 5 star maximum that you can rate their performance because I would give them 10 stars! I highly recommend them! When I tried to book through their website, it kept malfunctioning (no response). But sending an email directly worked. (This was a while ago, so maybe the website is fixed by now?) Overall, I can recommend, and would call Moving Band next time. I think everything was at a high standard: - On time. - Coordinated with me as I figured out some uncertainty (where to park at the destination and which elevator to use). - No damage to furniture (I was worried, given some tight quarters). - Worked very quickly and efficiently, even though their rate is per hour. - Most importantly, the team I got were folks I felt could be trusted. Moving band did a good job by moving my 2 bedroom apartment. Scheduling process was fast and easy so thanks to dispatch. Crew arrived in time(actually even 20 minutes earlier). They had all the proper equipment as well as a clean truck. Our foreman Adlet was nice and easy to work with guy, he did all we asked for and even more! Guys took a break for a lunch after 4 hours of work and this time was deducted from our total(our previous movers didn't do that so it was surprising for me). After the moving company that I hired didn't show up, I got in touch with the Moving Band. Not only did they agree to help me out by moving me that afternoon, after completing their first job of the day, but their prices were MUCH better than the original movers. These guys were fantastic! I had a moving target of the actual moving day and they were totally able to flex with me. Not to mention the expedient and reliable communication, both before and on actual moving day. Definitely 5 Stars!! Awesome customer service, efficiency and honesty. One mover found some cash under my dresser he was wrapping and went to find me and gave it to me. They did a good job with every aspect of packing , moving , also set up my bed and tables once in my new home. They were super careful with all my fragile things, packed the moving truck very well. Movers called to see if they could come earlier than scheduled (thankfully!) and were very quick and efficient with their loading and unloading. They didn't take any breaks, helped disassemble and reassemble bed frames, wrapped furniture for protection, and finished before their estimated time so there were no overage charges. Used this company last year and they were awesome! They showed up in time and were done much faster than they even quoted me. Nothing is damaged, all of items were packed properly, they used protective blankets and stretch wrap. Stuff was nice from dispatch to movers. Truck was clean and looking nice. Very affordable.
