Movers Best basically pulled a bait and switch on me. I booked through them and they contracted with another company without telling me. That other company showed up without tools for disassembly, wardrobe boxes or floor protection (all of which were in the initial information provided by movers best). Because they couldn't get my bed apart, they had to go buy tools. I asked for someone from their company to bring the tools and boxes without success. I had to drive to my new home twice instead of once (once during rush hour) because of their lack of planning. They got my mattress dirty, didn't wrap my pictures (despite me informing them they were easily damaged), put things in the wrong places (one of them spoke zero English which is generally completely fine, but when moving, they should probably at least know the words "kitchen, bathroom, bedroom" if they are wanting me to tell them where to put my belongings - yes I should have looked up the words in Russian). They left me with a king mattress upside down (which I had to flip myself) as well as my couches upside down. I got a call from Movers Best the night before my move telling me they'd overbooked and asking me to take an afternoon slot. I unfortunately wasn't able to move the time and they said they would work it out - they never told me they would contract it out. Movers Best should have informed me they were using another company so I could have made a different plan. I'm including one extra star because they were very responsive leading up to the move. Despite all the great reviews, I won't trust this company again. read more

Oskar, Alex and Moses did a great job handling my move. So I booked Movers Best the day before after a different company I chose SOS Moving arrived 20 mins late and strangely argued with me immediately about being late and where to put the truck. They also texted me in very bad English (like some parts gibberish) and I could not understand the other company's workers' English at all (but I do know Spanish) on the phone before arrival. They called me at the very beginning of the time window 8am to say they were just getting on the freeway?! The other company also had one of their guys come in, immediately videoing my place on his phone without my permission, which was very strange and uncomfortable. I told the owner of SOS Moving my issue with the lateness and he also tried to argue, saying they were only 10 mins late according to the GPS (wrong)--SOS Moving arrived AFTER the time window they were supposed to. What's the point of the quoted time window if you don't arrive within it. The other company didn't even seem to want to work--they were standing around and taking their time after they arrived late. Ok now for Movers Best saving the day--So I canceled that company on the spot and called Movers Best where I booked with Julia. Julia offered answered all my questions with patience and explained double drive time. She has a pleasant voice with a Russian accent and professional customer service style. She suggested 3 workers is best with size of my place and stairs, which worked out best. I needed a truck under 26 ft and they had a 25 ft truck. There was no deposit with Movers Best, which also helped. Oskar and his team arrived exactly in the middle of the window frame they said they would, 9:30 am. Oskar greeted me professionally and I appreciated he didn't stand around, like the other company. He was a good team leader and directed Moses and Alex well. They got to work right away and packed 2 or so rooms of stuff in 1.5 hours when there were 2 flights of stairs too! The other company said it would take them 3 hours just to pack my stuff. They also help me put away some of my boxes without lids or covers into their large wardrobe boxes, which helped me a lot. Oskar's team was very communicative and asked me a few times to confirm what I was taking and what I wanted to add to each load. They also wrapped everything in the clear wrap which takes some time too and makes their speed with the stairs more impressive. When they arrived at the drop off, unfortunately, someone parked their car in my reserved spot but they made it work in the rest of the street space and they unloaded fast as well. They were very gracious and didn't complain or moan when my family member told them the wrong place to put the bed and bed frame and they had to assemble it twice. All my things arrived in the same condition. They speak some Russian so if that's a problem for you, then reconsider. They also do speak English with each other and with the customer. The previous company only spoke Spanish with each other and it was very obnoxious because it was in a way that assumed I could not understand them (which I can). If you pay with cash, I believe it is $10 less than with card per hour. They cost more than SOS Moving but I found them to be more professional and ready to get to work. The Team at Movers Best arrived on time, worked diligently, finished quickly, and came in UNDER BUDGET. This, in and of itself is the best review you can give a moving company. Unfortunately I've experienced the "bait and switch" moving companies that purposefully under-bid a project and present an invoice for 2x to 5x the estimate at the end of the job. Not these guys. Oh my. My hubby and I messed up when requesting service. If you have a lot of stuff please call and tell them, that while you have set amount of bedrooms, your a closet hoarder and need more people to help move. Our 2 poor lone guys have worked so hard all day, still amazingly nice and chatty and pleasant. I'm so blown away by this company and the people they have working for them. I found these guys thru a Google search first, then here. I called and Mr Marken Marshall (on the phone) was very professional and thru, and he took the time to explain the services and pricing. I told Him I was going to call back after I had done more research and he had no problem with that. Actually, when I called back, he remembered me! He helped me booking within days, despite I called them in a short notice. I got an email with the quote of the service right after I confirmed the terms and I also got a reminder email from the day before the movers came. The day of the moving Ilya and Alex B. called me 30 min before they arrived and they showed up right on time! I was so glad cause here in SoCal you never know with this crazy traffic. Anyways- they came prepared with tools, blankets, boxes, etc. and helped me packing, loading and downloading my personal stuff. Noting got damaged or lost. Overall Movers Best did a great job. We moved 7 miles from one side of Irvine to the other. The movers completed the job in about 8 hours with 3 men. 3 bedroom home to. 4 bedroom home. Quality of work was solid, however we did experience some damage to three items, the company was responsive and offered restitution which was appreciated. However, the deduction of one star was based on the timeliness of actually receiving closure to the issue, it took over a month after the move. read more

Now that I've unpacked, I feel I can do I fair review. I have used movers times at least 20 times, with different companies, and moving with Movers Best was perfection. I was moving out of a 5th story apartment and into a 2 story condo. I have a lot of stuff. Vlad and Anrike were absolute pros! They arrived on time, with a call when they were on the way, they literally started moving the moment they walked in. They worked so quickly and efficiently, never slowing down for 7 hours. They both took extra care to make sure nothing was damaged. Hardest working movers I've ever seen. I never felt that they were milking the time or that I had to be worried. Very Trustworthy and dependable. I also want to note that I booked this job two days before the move and was accommodated. I appreciate the flexibility of the front office. Marken from Movers Best provided a great rate, and was always quick to reply to my questions. Yes, there were a couple of others with slightly lower prices, but talking with them didn't inspire confidence in me. The move: Ilya and Max arrived at my apartment on time. They parked correctly, without blocking anybody (9 AM Friday). They inspected the route from garage to elevator to my apartment, we signed the contract, and the clock started only then. Not one thing was damaged in the move, which is a first for us (and we have moved A LOT!)
