Movers circle rep Andrew is a professsional and gave me a good flat price deal. The key is when you get a quote, please specify details on what you have. If you forget to list any furniture or miss important details like what floor level is the origin and destination apartments, then the moving company will charge you more. read more

I moved two weeks ago. Such an upheaval to my existence that I'm just now writing this review. Mover Circle were awesome. I booked them for a Saturday morning arrival between 9 and 10, and they got there at about 8:30. They worked quickly and were friendly and professional. I had an unreasonable amount of stuff crammed into a one bedroom apartment, and they got it all moved into a two bedroom and were done by about 1 pm. Total cost after a huge tip was just under $400. I read a lot of reviews concerning moving companies, most of which were filled with horror stories about moving companies milking the clock, sometimes taking days to complete moves that should have taken hours. I decided to try this company because they offered a flat rate for my move. Although I overestimated the number of boxes and furniture I had to move (and, therefore, probably paid more than I should have), the flat rate that I paid was less than had I gone with any of the hourly moving companies. Not to mention, had I hired hourly moving companies, based on the reviews I have read, they probably would have taken longer to move my stuff while milking the clock, thereby making my flat-rate move that much cheaper. Otherwise, the actual move was successful. They showed up early and moved everything without a hitch. I would recommend this company. My only concern, however, would be that Mover's Circle is a broker company who hires out the actual moving job. Therefore, the movers they hire differ per job. I. LOVE. Mover Circle. My boyfriend and I just moved cross-country in a giant, 23 foot Penske truck. (Yep, drove it out to San Francisco.) We rented a huge storage unit downtown while we were stayed in a motel and hunted like crazy for just the right apartment. We found it on a Friday, and they told us we could move in Saturday morning. But: how to move all of our stuff, from the storage unit to Russian Hill? We thought about driving back and forth with loads-- but that would be a nightmare (huge pieces of furniture and tiny little cars). Having just moved to SF, we did not know about Yelp. So we decided to look on craigslist to see if we could find some people willing to move us on the cheap. Enter: Mover Circle. We called around 4pm on Friday. Someone answered the phone right away. Me: "Can we book movers for... gulp... tomorrow morning?" Mover Circle: "We don't usually book moves this late in the day, but I'll do what I can." 45 minutes later we had a time booked for the next morning (8:45). It was $90 per hour for three movers, *including the truck*. What a steal! Saturday morning, the next day: The movers called before they arrived, and showed up with a truck that we thought would be too small (15'). However they got everything loaded in 1 hour and 15 minutes, and even fit it in the truck in one load. They were sprinting between trips to the truck to make the move go faster, too. An hour and a half later, they had driven to our place and unloaded everything in to our second floor, two-bedroom apartment. By noon on Saturday, my boyfriend and I were celebrating the end of our cross-country move. 3 hours, $270, plus we gave them a $90 tip. Yes, we were that happy. And we still probably would have paid more. Peace of mind and an easy move? That's priceless. You might think that I got lucky with my experience-- but I just helped a good girlfriend with an in-town move a couple of weeks ago, and recommended she try Mover Circle, too. They were responsive and helpful and while the movers showed up 2.5 hours early, they were of course willing to wait when we couldn't get there that early. Note: during both of these moves, there wasn't any damage to any property. Also, for certain (smaller) moves, they can quote you a flat rate. When you call them they ask you a seriesof questions and get you a flat rate quote so you actually get movers who come and work - not sit around taking cigarette breaks because why the heck shouldn't they, they are being paid by the hour after all! Mover Circle is AWESOME. Andrew is even more awesome. We just moved up to SF. We checked out Yelp and received a lot of quotes and also warnings to watch out for hidden charges like bubble wrap, extra packing etc. When we called mover circle they offered us a flat rate charge that was over $100 LESS than anyone else! Initially the mover they matched me up with didn't have good Yelp reviews so I emailed Andrew mildly freaking out because I have a lot of expensive items. He responded quickly and set me up with Artist Moving Systems whom have a lot of great reviews on Yelp!. Andrew also worked with my HOA service to help make the move happen around their regulations which was totally above and beyond anything he needed to do. I also emailed the support center with a lot of extra requests and they were all handled without a problem. The move went great, the movers were friendly and quick and not a thing was damaged. These guys work their asses off to help you move. Seriously, they rocked up at 10 minutes before the move was scheduled, and packed up the truck with all of our belongings in a few short hours. They even carried my monolith of a bed (350lb) down one flight and up three flights of stairs, without marking any walls. No damage to speak of, no stains.... awesome. (ok, well, except for two wine glasses, which was entirely my fault for packing like a moron.) you know how sometimes movers kind of skeeve you out? Those guys who smell like they spent the night smoking cigarettes in a bottle of whiskey? Not these guys at all. Honest to goodness, hard working dudes, who worked their tails off for several hours to make our move go smoothly. They all even spoke english, which seems tough to find sometimes. A friend of mine recommended Mover Circle and really raved about them. I gave them a try because I needed to move to a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator and had one of the best moving experiences ever. They sent out Reuben and the 2 Mikes to help out with my moving needs and they were extremely professional, efficient and super friendly. The move took about 2 hours from the Outer Richmond to Laurel Heights. I was most impressed when they were able to get my large Restoration Hardware sofa and chair up 4 flights of stairs and through several narrow hallways in my new apartment. This last move, Mover Circle hooked me up with ML Movers and they were AMAZING! It was clear that they were experienced and knew what they were doing, so I could relax and not stress out. They wrapped up all my furniture in plastic wrap and blankets so nothing would get damaged and they communicated well along the way. Gave them a list of my furniture and boxes and they quickly came back with a flat rate quote. More on topic, I was a bit turned off by the owner having written a review of his own business. However, I decided to try Mover Circle because I kept running into dead ends in locating an appropriate mover myself. I very much appreciated not only the quick response by this network, particularly with the help of the company rep, Chris, but also being able to match me with the right company, Laines Bay Area Cheap Moving Services. i used these guys for my move last week. found them on craigslist. i sent them an email and in less than an hour was given a quote for my move. VERY REASONABLE. it was $225 for my studio apartment--flat rate! they added $25 for it being rather last minute, which I was still fine with. andrew (the owner) was very nice and polite. on the day of my move, the movers were a little late, but it wasn't a huge deal. they moved all my stuff with care and didn't break a thing. very professional, friendly and speedy. anthony was the one in charge and i would definitely use him again or recommend him to my friends. really nice guy. all in all, my move was completed seamlessly. thanks, mover circle!! read more

**NOTE: I have moved multiple times in the last year, lived in CA, WA (now), and across the nation on the east coast. There was absolutely, unless the move team is unable to lift and load/unload, NO SAFETY THREAT as implied below; otherwise, the men would not have stayed 3 lazy hours. This rep has taken no time to verify my customer info with me (just as they ignored attempts then to remedy the crap they sent my way) or even to consider that this is not a "current" reviews, though I guess another RECENT customer left unhappy, too.; I merely posted it, left, later realized it had not posted, and quickly got on my ipod touch to post it... The customer service agent I spoke with absolutely WAS in San Fran, unless they lied--I asked. This employee hasn't contacted me and ASSUMES that I am person x, y, or z who apparently endangers movers (pathetic defense--nothing, considering I sent theonly set of knives with the roommate, could be a safety threat but cigarettes they smoked on the job. I hate--especially with something so stressful as moving--to break the generally great record here, but Mover Circle was horrible for me... and not just because of the mover that could've theoretically had a bad day or something... First, the quote... I asked questions that didn't get a very clear answer. I was told that the movers are flexible and that an estimate is fine... only to find out that any/every tiny box would count toward the limit (even though I was helping them the entire time and they were NOT listening)... was told it wasn't a big deal to go to a storage unit for what I wasn't keeping in the apartment... they didn't tell the mover. Was told that my rate was flat, and they told the mover I was doing hourly. The mover boasted his 94% approval rating, and my approval of him is negative--didn't listen when I said (as I hired them to help pack stuff too) to *WRITE HOME OR STORAGE AND KEEP KITCHEN STUFF WITH KITCHEN STUFF, KEEP TEA WITH TEA, KEEP ELECTRONICS WITH ELECTRONICS* (big duh=you don't put liquids, flammables, and static electricity intense things beside COMPUTERS. GEESH, that was already packed, too--they were trying to re-stuff everything :S) So what happened? The first day, packing day, I had boxes left outside (it rains OFTEN here!), had FURNITURE moved out there and NOT MOVED BACK IN?!!!! so I--with a broken back that I hire movers to -not- need to lift stuff like this--had to haul crap back inside. WTF... The guys they sent were rude, said something about not wanting to take this job because I was evicted???!!! (FYI, I'm moving because I got a notice to evacuate b/c the building's being torn down and converted to an expanded Fire Station--NOT because I didn't pay rent on time--I even said "listen, look, it's EMPTY!" and offered to show the paper saying upfront that I need to leave because the home won't be a home in a few months... because they got the permits to demolish it, nothing else... why the sudden insult? Because movers are stereotyped as nimwits? I am not sure... but I'm not happy, either--the ATTITUDE, the "We've never done anything wrong ever" when they kept constantly putting DIRTY and SHARP things--with 5 "do not do thats"--against my $15,000 (that's its wholesale price) hand crafted, US-made, recycled leather/silk/velvet custom showroom sectional... they kept scraping it, they even--dirty as one of them was--dared to sit around and ask what they were "going" to do... I'm sickened, disappointed beyond compare. Mover Circle didn't do a damned thing but wiggle their ways out, leaving me with a $210 charge for labor that included--guess time ran out??--leaving a huge wardrobe box full of FORMAL clothing and an expensive 8'tall/3'x3'base/4levels/perches/jumping tunnels cat palace (sorry but I live by the do it right/invest in quality the first&only time philosophy, so my stuff isn't Ikea stuff to throw to the side of the road and replace each move.I have to deal with credit card charges for work after they refused to answer my calls anymore, saying hands are tied.. But those guys still contract, despite my bad review (they claim it plays a part. I doubt it). Moving is already hell. Finding a last-last minute second mover for that same day?? OK, here is a update to this review. The owner offer me money if I agreed to change my review. After severely e-mails back and forth he finally sent me you refund of $50 and then told me that I was a lair and that all I was after was money. Then when I sent him a e-mails from his company promise me a refund when I first contact them about my move, he told me that I was a lair. When I told him that I would put all of his e-mail in my review he stopped talking. I understand that they are a broker and not a mover but after talking to several moving company they say in the end it sometime cost more to use a broker. Be warned, you get what you pay for. A flat rate for a move is great, but you will pay for it in other ways... I had a small 1 bedroom move (~8 pieces of furniture and 30 boxes) and asked for an 8am appointment. I was told they needed a window of 8-9...instead they showed up after 10:30 and took another 4 hours to move my things out. What should have been a half-day move took all day, very disappointing. Andrew arranged for Rich to move 27 boxes to San Diego...he was on time for pick-up, delivered the boxes on schedule and nothing was lost or broken...and the price was right. I've used Mover Circle 3 times so far...and all good experiences. They were careful with all my stuff, moved in a timely manner, and were very friendly. I love the flat rate! The first time I moved with Mover Circle was from Fresno to San Jose. The flat rate is so much cheaper than other long distance moving companies. The other two times I moved was within San Jose, but still chose to go with Mover Circle. I didn't have to worry about an hourly minimum or movers going slow to get more money. I found Mover Circle on Craigslist and was slightly skeptical of the low quote I received to have furniture and boxes picked up from two SF locations and moved 100 miles north and up over two mountains. However, I am pleased to say that Rich and Mike were terrific! They showed up almost 40 minutes early! They were very friendly, quick and careful. There happened to be a heat wave on the day they moved us, and it was over 110 degrees by the time we got to our destination. They were very professional and the price was exactly what we were quoted - no after move bait and switch. Andrew and Chris run a stand up business - and after the horror stories I had read on line - I was very happy and relieved. I will absolutely call them again if I ever move! read more

Reuben, Juan and Juan (our movers) were FANTASTIC!!!! Unbelievable! While they had originally signed up for an uncomplicated move that should take about 4-5 hours, about halfway through moving us out of our old place, they got stuck in the elevator (and kept their cool while waiting for the fire department to come bail them out...I was the one freaking out just thinking about being stuck in there)--they got out within about 15 minutes, but then...uh oh .... the elevator is now broken. My boyfriend and I were like "Welllll, the apt's on the EIGHTH floor, so no one in their right mind would finish this move..." But then Reuben said "Let's roll with it!" The three of them then proceeded to move the couch, dresser, etc etc, down eight flights of stairs (we're talking winding old narrow SF-style staircase) without damaging ANYTHING. It turned into a twelve hour move because of this, but they were champions! Again, nothing was damaged, and they just powered through. WE LOVE REUBEN AND TEAM! So perhaps you're asking why the FOUR stars then... well, Mover Circle seems like a great company, and we really didn't have any major beef, but it sounds like with gaining popularity they need to start getting more staff in there for their customer support team! When Andrew did respond, he was very communicative and helpful, but the response time was sometimes long enough to make me (in my anxious state of about-to-moveness) slightly concerned that things wouldn't go smoothly.
