What a deal for $30. Cannot beat the phenomenal view! Not even a fence stands between you and the runway field. We just did an overnighter so the lack of sewer was fine. The showers were the best we'd had in the 8 days we had previously camped in different RV parks as we toured the Southwest. Water stayed super hot and nobody even entered the restrooms while showers were going. We used the dump station with ease prior to pulling out. Ate a meal at the nearby restaurant (Ravens Nest?). I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. I bet it's especially nice in the summer months because the temps must be much nicer than the valleys to either side. read more

Water and electric only. They do have a dump station. Very clean and very friendly staff. Backs up to a sail plane park so it is very quiet in the evening and at night. Because of the altitude, the Summer days are comfortable and the cool nights make for great sleeping weather. read more

Great little spot, has electric & water hookups. There's also a dumping station near the amenities block. Clean restrooms, they also have washing machines & dryers which are pretty efficient & clean. Great place not to far off the highway but far enough not to hear the trucks and trains. Got to hear the Coyotes howl after sunset. Since this place is up at elevation it was cool at night. On Saturday morning we headed to Ravens diner at the airport close by for a fantastic breakfast and watched the gliders soar. Highly recommend this place and will stay here again. What a beautiful setting for this RV Park. Nestled in the hills of Tehachapi with gorgeous views of the valley. We loved the peace and quiet. The sounds of the glider planes taking off right past us were enjoyable, not offensive. But - there was no one there to welcome us and even though I had called and was assured our site assignment would be on the door, there was no mention of us and what site we were to occupy. We had to wait 15 minutes for the manager to come. She assigned us to a space for 3 days and then the next morning there was a note on our door telling us she made a mistake and we would need to move to a different site. All of you know that once settled, it is not a fun thing to stow things again, disconnect and hitch back up to move 100 feet away, but we did. Now the basics. This is a water and electric only park with a dump site. The water pressure is very low. There are some nice trees for shade but there is only dirt out our door. The office has some nice grass but there is none elsewhere. The first site we had was high at one end but the second one was very level. The sites are plenty wide but a bit on the short side. We are a 30 foot 5th wheel and our truck just fit after unhitching. We did not visit the restrooms. There are no permanent residents which is a plus. Not a perfect place by a long shot but we did check out the other places in the area before hitching up and moving to another site and this is by far the best. read more

Really tired of driving and was hoping to make it further and just ran out of energy. This little stop over was quiet and took care of our needs for the night. Electrical and water at the site. Our site was very level. No sewer or TV hookups, but we were exhausted and did not care. We pulled in around 8PM and left around 8AM. It is right on a glider airport, but we did not hear or see any activity on our short stay. Only $30 for the night with AAA discount. We saw the town as we left and picked up a Starbucks. You can find just about anything to eat and grocery and drug stores are close by. Nothing great, but clean and quiet. 4 Stars. read more

Hellhole with the rudest staff anywhere o have ever been. If I could give a -10 I would. Not pet friendly. Ran out of paper towels and toilet paper. Lies about you cannot have a controlled fire in a propane fire pit with wood or embers. Says it was the law and it is not. I read the entire rules provided and nothing in the rules and when I asked if she could show me where it states that she refused to. Also claims to be dog friendly, not true as others on here have verified as well. While in camp others were calling the woman the "Nazis" as just flat out mean and rude. Would never go back if you paid me. Stay away as much better places to go then this garbage location read more

Great park. Very clean and staff is very nice. Max stay is 7 days so no unsightly long timers. Wash and dry very reasonable at $1.25 each . Right next to a glider run way which was fun to see. Nice distance from freeway exit and train tracks as not far but far enough to not hear traffic at all. Good location from town and miles to walk the dog. We received many TV antenna stations and ATT cell service was great. We stayed the 7 days altho most people stay 1 night probably on a stop over. Highly recommend read more

Nothing fancy, but a nice clean and quiet spot to stay while travel through Tehachapi, CA. Electricity and water only. Spits are big enough for the "big rigs". We would definitely stay here again. read more

This was our first visit and I already can't wait to come back! We're new to RVing - so not a lot to compare to - but I was really happy with the site and the campground. You are close to your neighbors, but this didn't bother us and thankfully everyone was friendly and respectful - so no issues at all. (There was a serious medical emergency with one of our neighbors and so many folks jumped into help - good group of folks at this place.). Our spot was great on the back loop - so we were close to the take-off strip. We enjoyed getting to watch the gliders taking off. It was a bit noisy - but didn't bother us (or our cats) that much. We had no trouble getting into our spot and hooking up. The campground staff came by and checked on things at least once a day. The bathrooms and laundry facilities were sparkling clean! The dump area was also well maintained and we had no problem taking care of that on our way out. Again, we found it awesome to be so close to the Glider Port. We didn't have the chance to try out the cafe or do a glider ride, but that's why we're definitely coming back soon. We did get to walk through the place and look at the gliders, etc. Plus we met the port's cat Grasshopper - a huge and VERY friendly cat (next time we'll bring him some treats). The views from the place are so beautiful. Looking out at the hills, windmills, and grassy fields was fantastic and peaceful. Already planning another trip for July! read more

A hidden gem. We've stayed here a couple of times. The first was because the 'other' RV park jerked us around on reservations and actually turned us away when we arrived, with reservations. So glad they did that! Clean and very quiet with only the occasional tow plane taking off from the little airport, and the sailplanes don't make any noise at all. Water: the best RV park water we've ever found. Better than what the stores sell as spring water. We've only been here in January/February and it has never been busy enough to require reservations. read more

We are staying here for one night in a 40 ft RV. So glad we found this quiet , clean space. We were actually looking for another one but info about it was so unhelpful we decided to come here. The host is very nice. The spaces are nicely spaced--lots of privacy. Laundry was easy. No cable or wi-fi but otherwise it was great. Will be returning as this is a route we travel frequently. read more

Was told the water was good to drink. After getting parked for the night and setting up I found the water didn't actually work they informed me the well was down even though they had just told me how good the water was for drinking purposes. They shut all bathrooms and laundry so we couldn't even fill up a water jug for washing hands and brushing teeth. When I complained the next day that I paid for a site with water and electric they told me they couldn't reimburse because the water was free anyway and California wouldn't allow it. Then I complained more and they said the owner allowed five dollars to be reimbursed only. The girl didn't give a crap that I couldn't wash my hands or use the toilet even and without any genuineness said sorry for your inconvenience. So don't inconvenience yourself with this park because they won't tell you until you're parked if you get any of the amenities you paid for. read more

This is the first RV park we stayed in with our new 40' motorcoach. We were very pleased. Easy access in and out. Very quiet, pleasant views and the glider airport was an interesting plus. The airport had a small coffee shop that worked out very well for us. It closed at 4:00 pm so we took a salad and sandwhich to go and had it for dinner a little later. We will be back. read more

Tried to call at 5pm, 1 day prior to staying and no one called me back. The next morning, my husband called and finally got to speak to a woman. Asked what the availability for that night might be but didn't reserve a space because we weren't positive we would be able to drive that far in one day. At 3pm I tried calling to go ahead and reserve a spot but no answer. I called again at 3:30, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, and finally again at 5:00. No answer. The woman told my husband the hours were from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Totally unprofessional. Now, I'm spending the night at the loves truck stop next to a loud refer trucks engine noise blaring in my ears. Thanks a lot Mountain Valley. read more

We needed a place to evacuate to while our house was being tented so we came here after packing up all the food in the house. The host let us make our choice of spots and we found one with nice trees on either side. We pulled up, plugged in, broke out the lawn chairs and had cocktails. Watching the gliders was relaxing and our dog enjoyed it there too. Lots of nice, friendly people camped there and other than hearing the train whistles way off in the distance it was very quiet at night. We plan to come back. read more

Nice spot off the beaten path. The windmills are an indication of the wind factor :) Small (28 spaces) park with nice bath/shower. Spaces are set at a nice angle so you aren't looking through someone else's window. Only here overnight. January 2016 so not busy at all. Nice view of mountains. If we're ever back in this area again we'll stay here. read more
