Due to the 14 freeway being totally shut down because of dangerous winds that caused a multi-vehicle accident we were force to drive back north. Most ways out of Mojave were effected by the wind and so we decided to find an RV park to stay the night and wait out the storm. In a city that looks like you should only stop for gas and run.......we found this quaint RV park "jewel of the desert" for us to stay the night. The manager (owner) was very nice and helpful. The rate was very good especially with discounts (AAA, Good Sam) and the park had everything we needed. All hook-ups. Cable was an extra $2.00 ...very affordable. We never got onto the wi-fi ...but they have do it available. Nothing fancy...but clean, well kept and there were some very expensive RVs here so others obviously know that this is a safe, comfy place. The showers had new shower heads, high water pressure (extra points for that alone)...and the tile work simple, clean, mold-free. After dinner we walked the grounds and it is a pleasant little place and it looks like it is a mix of visitors and residents. - Very quiet property - BBQ grill - Picnic table - Pool, well maintained - No fire pit (no worries of unattended fires) Surrounded by cinder block walls which may not seem pretty but protected the park from the high winds and kept the dust factor down. All in all a great place to stay in the area or to do an overnight stop on the way to the high sierras. We will be back!

We found the staff very helpful, driving out in a golf cart to lead us into our spot. Basic pull-through with 4 hook ups.

I listened to men talk crap about women. Listened to men get verbally abusive with women and pets. When I asked a resident to turn his outside tv down I was told to shut the f@&k up and go to my trailer. Yelled at me to shut my f&$ki@g door. Turned the volume up. When we checked in never received promised email with codes for bathrooms/laundry. Had to ask next morning. And no, the email was not in my junk, never was. We left a day early. Had no choice but to stay here as we were sick. I wouldn't wish this place on anyone. Keep driving!!

The entertainment was a lot of fun, I played a few of Freddies games, I even got second place in one. I loved watching Skip the Balloon man with his songs and huge balloon. He's so funny!! And I love the Ducks!! I watched three of their shows, and I even got to race a duck!! Mine won!! The sax player was really good too. I loved walking around the carnival. It is really pretty at night. I enjoy the music and lights. The kids were having a blast. I liked listening to the band. They played great music. If I could change just one thing, it would be that back area where the knights and king was, I accidently found it, and not very many people were watching, not because it was boring, I felt like it was really hard to find. But it was entertaining to me. I like this fair a lot.

The grass is all dead and theres weeds and stickers everywhere. They may have had dirt sites in the past but they're all weeds, stickers, and those annoying foxtails everywhere. Most people there live there, you have some nice helpful people and our neighbors who got drunk and were fighting loud. We had a drunk guy drive up and ask us if we have beer and if we wanna drink with him. Two residents asked us for cigarettes. The fire bricks are filled with weeds, we cleaned ours out but you need your own rack. We had the neighbors kitten not leave our site. It climbed up our screen door and the neighbor thought it was cute so we dealt with that all weekend. The camp host was very nice, she makes your stay pleasant. She's probably the best thing about that rv park. The rates are low and if you're wanting to go to the lake to fish, this is a great place to stay. We would go back 100% but bring a rake and our propane fire pit/grill for cooking and s'mores.
