And this was my fourth visit. I use this hotel because they have a jacuzzi room. Yes you read that right a room with a large jacuzzi that sits two over sized people easily! Bring your Epsom salts maybe a bath bomb if it isn't a sudsy type as they'll bubble up too much with any type of bubble bath. Sit as long as your can handle without shriveling up and I can guarantee you'll feel like a whole new person the next day! The shower isn't anything to boast about. As anyone who reads my reviews knows I hate standard fixed shower heads in hotels it makes them feel old and like the Bates Motel to me. So they lost a star for that but the water can be tempered to those of us that love super hot showers. There is a hairdryer connected to wall. I didn't notice if it's locked down or if you can use it say at the desk to sit comfortably while drying, but it's there nevertheless. This room includes a king sized bed that's comfortable. Not the most comfortable ever, but it does allow you to get in a good slumber. They have a few movie channels on the tube and you can plug in your own hdmi device. The hotel offer breakfast from 6-9AM daily. I wish hotels would adopt a 6-11AM attitude. Some people are actually on vacation and would like to get dressed then come down and eat as they leave for their adventure's of the day. It can interrupt the flow having to go down grab food as you have to get dressed to leave your room. But that's just my lil opinion. But I'd say if your in Cal City and looking for an overnight. This is the place!!!

There was a fridge and some complimentary coffee tea items. There was a small desk, a wardrobe to hang clothes, but no microwave which is ok. The hallway was quiet, no crazies in the lobby or hallways. The clientele is pretty much corrections, military and contractors. Staff were professional, engaging and helpful. The garage is well lit and easily usable. The bathrooms are all clean. The bedrooms are all fresh linens and floor is vacuumed. Did the finger dust test on corners etc. I'd say 8 out of 10 no problem. Would I stay here again? yes. Like I said no issues with this place at all. On my first stay I was unhappy with the room, it was so hot and the AC unit just wasn't doing it for me. The room wasn't cooling down until about 2AM which made my nights rough working in the heat all day then coming in to a hot hotel room. The second stay was a complete 180! The room was far more spacious and the AC until did what it was supposed to do. The gym was nice and clean The room was quiet and very clean. Checking in and out went smoothly and had no problem whatsoever. Plenty of good eats in the area. If I'm in the area I look forward to booking another stay with this hotel.

Very Disappointing Experience at Hampton Inn Barstow I…read morerarely write a review like this, but our experience at the Hampton Inn in Barstow has been extremely disappointing. Our Night Guardians animal rescue team is temporarily staying here because our sanctuary was flooded and repairs will take several days. We have stayed at Hampton Inn locations in Santa Clarita and Arcadia during rescue missions and events and have generally been treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, our experience here has been very different. During our stay, the elevator was not working. Walking the stairs was not a major issue for our team, but we saw senior guests struggling. One older gentleman with a suitcase was having difficulty using the stairs, and that was upsetting to see. A hotel should have a clear plan for assisting guests when an elevator is unavailable, particularly elderly guests and people with mobility limitations. We also experienced coffee being served cold or only lukewarm, and, most importantly, customer service that did not make us feel welcomed or properly cared for when concerns were raised. We don't expect special treatment because we are Night Guardians. We expect the same basic courtesy, assistance, and hospitality that every paying guest deserves. We know Hampton Inn can do much better because we have experienced much better service at other Hampton Inn locations. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues, especially how guests who cannot easily use the stairs are assisted when an elevator is out of service. Hospitality is not just providing a room. No reasoning with them either, they just said oh well management is charging you. AVOID THIS HOTEL**** Work brought me to Lancaster and got to stay at this hotel for 14 nights and I must say that location is the best part of this hotel. The second best thing is how modern and new this hotel is. It was defenitly better than what I expected. Plus, there's a Starbucks right next door which is a major plus. Reasonable price for all the amenities you recieve. Rooms are super nice and spacious. Loved the full kitchen and how everything was designed/set up. Bathroom was super spacious. The bed was super comfortable. Only negative thing is they charge $10 a night for parking yet my employee's Honda got broken into and they tried stealing it with "security" patrolling the lot. Thankfully the thief couldn't start the car. No cameras apperently in parking lot either. That's really the only negative of this place.
