Had not stopped for about ten years but this time I again found the park a nice stop. Roadways are dirt, the pool is not heated, but the staff are very helpful and friendly. Most of the back in spots are 30 amp as they are part of the original park. They have added 7 new drive thru sites with 50 amp and water. No sewer hookup but there is a dump station. The restrooms and showers are old but spotlessly maintained and very clean! Lots of hot water for your shower. This park accepts Passport America so it makes a great discount on the already very fair rates. Easy access to either SR 58 or SR 14. The property looked in better shape than it did the last visit. Grass around a number of sites and the sites clean and level.

We love camping up at Kern River and this year it was so nice to have our own trailer set up at our site and ready for us to enter as soon as we got there! We got a walk through with a representative who gave us simple instructions on what we needed to know and then we were able to quickly unpack and jump into vacation mode. From the moment we booked, they have been very kind and accommodating when I would call with my questions and sent us plenty of communication leading up to our trip. The guard wasn't sure we could stay there because my husband isn't retired military so our adventure began. Found the park. It is nice and someplace we would stay. Caution! After getting lost on the base and our encounter with a different guard station we finally found where to go to get a base permit. So, unless you are active military or retired you can't stay here.

My friend has a great out door area for her kids. It's safe and very quiet. Everybody for the most part minds their own business. The manager is very nice and just stays to herself. Rent is $475 a month and that includes trash and water. There is a pool, community center and laundry available for the residents. You can rent out the community center for a 50$ deposit. I have been in the community center for quarter auctions, it was a big room to the right and smaller one to the left. I love the view of the windmills when I'm driving down the road to get to my friends. When I have been here it always is clean and kept up. They both said they would absolutely recommend this place.

The mobile home tenants feed the birds so there are birds everywhere who shit on everything and get into the trash. When the water works it is so full a chlorine it smells like a public pool even with a filter system on our rv. The septic has been clogged since we got there and they refuse to hire a professional to come and unclog it! Because of the water issues we have heard of numerous other rv/trailers being flooded. Unfortunately my husband is working in town and we have no other choice at this time. Other co workers have been there for some time and warned us of leaving anything out as they have had items stolen. I have personally witnessed drug deals and have seen law enforcement roll through numerous times. Stay away!
