The food here is great, and prepared by people who genuinely want to take care of you and give you an enjoyable meal. There's a selection of fresh veggies on the back counter which are cut and added to each meal with love and care. They even gave me conversation and a glass of fresh made Jamaica while I waited. I ordered Sopes with Carne Asada, which were freshly prepared, and a grilled chicken burrito which was packed full of flavor! I would recommend them to anyone. Don't be fooled this little food truck has BIG FLAVORS!!! They even have a seating area setup with Al Pastor roasting, if you don't want to take your food to go. 10/10 will be back asap

The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. It's hands down my favorite taco spot. My only complaint? The price is a trip because they're on the expensive side of non brick and mortar establishments, you see what I'm saying, but sure handmade tortillas, it's good food. The service is whack, period. Good ambience when it's a nice night to be outside in San Lorenzo, good vibes, good energy because it's got good food but lately it's been tanking, it's giving complacent. Food: Al Pastor Taco - good, generous amount of meat, topped with diced onions, cilantro, and salsa verde, the al Pastor had good flavor, wish there was a bit more char and pineapple but pretty tasty, corn tortilla was excellent, soft and pliable with nice toasted corn flavor Carne asada - very good, perfectly cooked steak that was tender with a char from the grill, also topped with onions, cilantro and salsa verde, same great corn tortilla, favorite of the proteins that we tried Suadero - okay, brisket was a bit dry and had the shredded texture reminding me more of carnitas, same toppings as the other taco, generous portion of meat, this one benefited from an extra squeeze of lime juice and some salsa roja from the salsa bar Service was solid, order at the truck window grab a number and wait for your corder to be called. Wait for our food was about 10-15 minute. They do have a topping and salsa bar with two types of salsa, limes, radishes and cucumber. Overall really enjoyed Tacos Gonzales, more of a 4.5 star overall, food was flavorful and freshly prepared. The carne asada was some of the best I've ever had in the bay area.

I first discovered Karla's trailer on Hesperian by Kennedy Park by accident. It's in my area and I passed by it on the way to the gym. But of course I had to stop by to check it out and now I can't get enough. To get the updates about when she'll be on Hesperian, definitely follow them on instagram @colibricafe23. She's also regularly at the Niles Farmers Market on Saturdays and Livermore Farmers Market on Sundays. Her menu is straightforward with a range of espresso drinks, teas, and refreshers. My go to is a latte (hot or iced depending on the weather) and I've been there so much that she knows that's my "usual". Don't you just love when you have a "usual" order somewhere? Sometimes I'll switch it up and try her seasonal drinks too. She also has little pup cups of whipped cream for your dogs! Service is always quick and I can pretty much grab and go. That's not the case for many local coffee shops in this area since there aren't a lot to choose from around this part of Hayward/San Lorenzo. Highly recommend!

I ordered a spicy chicken sando with Mac and Cheese and the side and the sando was EXCELLENT. Chicken Sando 10/10: Bread was soft and sweet, chicken was cooked perfectly all throughout which made it super soft and easy to eat. Wasn't messy at all. Definitely would order again Mac & Cheese 2/10: The seasoning on the Mac wasn't really good or there, it tasted almost watered down if I could put it into words? but the noodles were pretty good nevertheless. Wouldn't order it again unless it was cheesier and less bland? I'm sure it was just a one time thing though maybe with this batch. Parking 10/10 (not sure about busier hours) Service: 10/10 as well, the guys here are really nice and have great attitudes Food: 8/10

Sheesh, scary stuff and that was it for da ohana. My work team, on the other hand, still likes to go. Love the fries, that spice they use is kickin' and the sando is mouth watering. My big complaint is consistency. Order the medium every time and getting the right heat experience is almost like going fishing. Sometimes it's mild and chill, other times it's a scorcher, and once in a while, you smile and feel they got it right. For me that is key, I need to know what I am getting and they get it right maybe 30 percent of the time. For baseball, that is a decent ERA, but for food, nah that's not right. And then, every now and then, someone else gets there first and picks up our order. Not real big on the apologies or making sure peeps picking up the right bags. Cool lookin' truck, good food, when they get it right, and when our order is actually there for pick up, but miss the mark a bit too often.

The workers were super friendly and gave recommendations. I got the carnitas plate which came with rice/beans, a couple tacos, and a burrito (believe it was carne asada). The carnitas were almost dry, and lacked flavor. The beans on the plate tasted watered down, and the rice also fell flat. I was pretty disappointed in my $20 plate. The carne asada and al pastor on the tacos also lacked flavor, and I left feeling disappointed. The burrito was also OK, out of everything we ordered it was the only decent item. I wanted to like this spot but the flavors and taste were not there for us. Given several taco spots around the area, we probably have to pass on this one next time.
