    Suadero/al pastor/lengua tacos + Lg Aqua Fresca (18.50)
    Victor G.

Tacos Gonzalez shares a parking lot with Tommy's Donuts. Didn't see food truck on initial drive by. Saw canopy tent with "Taco Tuesday" signage. Food truck actually parked behind canopy. Only truck had decor. Plenty of parking in back. Didn't open till 3. 1 hour late. Music via boombox. Menu posted on side of truck. No pricing. "Authentico Sabor Casero" written on food truck=authentic homemade. Offerings (estilo Tijuana/Tijuana style): desayunos (breakfast), tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, platillos, nachos, mulitas, guarache, bampiro, Aqua Fresca. Sips: Guava (L. 6?) -refreshing with no ice overload. Tastes naturally made. Not a lot of sugar. Bites: suadero (brisket), lengua (tongue), pastor tacos (12.50?) paid 18.50 total -tortillas house made. Not the usual. Thick & grilled. Garnishes of guac, grilled onions, lime squeeze, jalepenos, radishes, cucumbers. -self serve salsas. Proteins skimpy, tasty. -lengua melt in month juicy. -grilled pastor had slight smokiness, accompanied with cucumber morsels. -brisket melty & juicy as well. 4ish stars semi worthy quality: very good. quantity: skimpy Note: Taco Tuesday (2)

With taco trucks all around the East Bay, it's always hard for me to decide on which one to check out -- Tacos Gonzales hit and was exactly what I needed. Space is in an empty parking lot with lots of parking and street parking. There's a space to eat and a mini sauce bar to take from with 3 different salsas. Service is quick and friendly. The food was really good!!! The al pastor here is chunkier than what I'm used to but it was really tender, tasty, and had nice fattiness to it. I also tried the lengua and their carne asada. I really enjoyed the lengua and the carne asada was good but not as good as the other two! They serve their tacos with radish, pickled carrots, and lime. You have to get sauce from their sauce bar. They don't put any sort of guac or sauce on it ahead of time - at least from the ones I had. All good though - the flavor of their meat was what I'll be coming back for for sure. Excited to come back here and try a torta!

What was left of my 3 carne asada tacos

Order: 1 Super Burrito (half carne asada, half lengua, with everything) 1 Large Agua Fresca (half pineapple, half guava) 3 Carne Asada Burritos (with everything) 1 Birria Ramen 1 Horchata Total: $58.14 (tax included) Location: Right on Foothill Blvd inside the Tommy Donut parking lot. There's easy access with plenty of parking available both in the lot and on the street. Ambiance & Service: Outdoor seating is available within the tent space. The ambiance is fine for casual dining. Service was great--shoutout to the young man who took my order; he was super friendly and welcoming. Heads-up: there are no prices listed on the truck, so it's best to ask before ordering. Food Review: Carne Asada Tacos: Loved them! The meat was tender and had no fat. The handmade corn tortillas were a huge plus. Salsas had just the right spice--flavorful without being too hot. I do wish they included pearl onions and nopales. My to-go order only had a grilled Serrano pepper. Birria Ramen: This one fell short for me. It lacked flavor and tasted watered down. There were no real chunks of birria, just small stringy pieces mixed in with lots of cheese. I'd rate it 5/10. I'd like to try it again, but not as a to-go order. Agua Frescas: Very sweet but good! They offer horchata, guava, pineapple, hibiscus, and tamarindo. Salsas: Three self-serve options--two red and one green. Super Burrito: My husband gave it a solid 9.5/10. He loved the tender meats and flavorful mix. Overall: I would definitely recommend this place. It's convenient, delicious, and worth checking out.

This place is hella good! Some of the best Mexican food in the area. Loved the flavors of the meat, especially the al pastor. We got two super burritos, al pastor and carne asada. Total came out a little over $30, which is expected for the bay area. The customer service could be worked on and the amount of salsa they give you is so little. The worker looked like she was annoyed at me the entire time, I had to force a smile to soften the situation. It honestly was uncomfortable. They give you tiny plastic cups that fits probably only 1 tablespoon amount, not even the sauce cups. Therefore, it's best if you eat there so you can get enough salsas for your food. The burritos were massive and came with tons of meat. They were so filling, I ate only half of the burrito and was full. The burrito was heavenly with the sauces, just wished they gave us more. I had to use other hot sauces at home to finish the meal. They do have a taco special on Tuesdays for about $2. The parking is plenty, lots of parking in the lot area.

These tacos are by far the best I've had in Hayward! They have a dine in area and also the option of calling in your order for takeout . I like how their tacos are made with hand made tortillas ! It's my 4x coming here and they never disappoint, my go to are always the Al pastor and asada they're hella good. I also like their honey dew agua fresca.

Forgot to take pic before drinking the agua de tamarindo

So far the Best tacos in Hayward! The family and I have been here 4 times already and these are by far the best tacos in the area. The menu doesn't have prices listed so you can ask when ordering at the window. I love the pastor tacos here they're the best ones I've had around. The tortillas a mano definitely make the tacos more delicious. They also have aguas frescas, so far I've tried the tamarindo, jamaica and melon and they are very tasty and definitely not the powder mix you find elsewhere. Definitely a must try!

We had a huarache, a mulita, and a taco estilo Jalisco with an agua de melón!

I pass this food truck daily on my way back from work, finally tried it and it did not disappoint! Handmade tortillas for the huaraches and their mulitas, plus they grill their carne asada over coals! If you are in the area, make sure to stop by, everything here is delicious and the customer service goes above and beyond. Fresh salsas and fresh aguas frescas too, trust me it was an amazing find and I'll be recommending it to everyone looking for a new taco spot in Hayward! You can dine on site at one of their tables, or you can take your food to go!

Burrito was good but the salsa def enhanced it. The pastor texture was great but had no flavor . Nice slices of meat but again couldn't taste it. Employees were extremely nice and there were tables available. Huge plus is they also accept card.

Some of the best tasting tacos in Hayward. Good selection of meats and aqua frescas. Workers are friendly and efficient.

Delicious food held back by frustrating service Pros: Amazing Tijuana style tacos only on Thursday-Sunday. on these days there's an extra charcoal grill cooking thin cuts of steak. The tortillas are homemade and are light and airy. Wish the guacamole was a real guac and not a salsa hybrid though. Went on taco Tuesday, and they were regular tacos, meat quality wasn't as good as the Tijuana style and tortillas were store bought, crisped up slightly. Still very good and unbeatable at $2. There is also no condiment bar when I went on Tuesday. Also tried the asada fries and they are the best in Hayward! Cons: I have no idea what anything costs, they don't list out any prices. There is a credit card surcharge which they don't disclose and I don't know how much it is, maybe a dollar? the hours listed on Yelp, google, and even their ig is wrong. We went at 2 but they said they weren't open until 3. Food can take a while especially with a line and it can get pretty cramped, also difficult to get salsa as you have to ladel it into these super tiny solo cups. A dispenser would be so much easier.

    Birria Ramen packaged to go!

My wife and I tried this place for the first time and we were not disappointed I tried the Super Burrito with asada and the ratio of ingredients was perfect. My wife got the Birria Ramen and it too was . Super favorful and the "to go" packaging was a nice touch. We also grabbed a Torta for my son and I'm sure it'll be great when he gets home. The meat that was in our food was delicious with little to no chunks of fat. They offer a lot of protein choices so be prepared to be overwhelmed. Oh, and the green salsa is some of the best I've had. We can't wait to try more items. Super friendly staff. FYI, They do cash and cash apps like Venmo and Zelle but no debit/credit cards.

    Tijuana carne asada tacos

Been here twice so far and they did not disappoint! Taco Tuesday $2 but only regular tacos no Tijuana style on taco tuesdays. The second time I came I ordered Tijuana style tacos which was amazing and lengua tacos that literally melts in your mouth it's so tender. I never I had lengua that's so tender like that. The tortilla are made fresh. thick and grilled and their meats are so flavorful and char. Highly recommend the pastor and lengua! Service was fast and quick. Horchata is a must! Found my new go to for tacos! Outdoor canopy for seating/dining and plenty of parking.

I went to this taco truck located in Hayward and ordered 3 tacos and a steak burrito. The taco meat was burnt and not fresh and the burrito had burnt steak meat inside the burrito. It was so terrible I throw my food away from this spot. I may try again, but it was a bad experience eating from this spot!

Pastor, chicken, asada tacos with one slice radish. Something they started doing a few months ago.

They have a bunch of dishes from Mexico City that you don't typically see in typical Mexican restaurants. The burrito was served with pickled vegetables and the quesadilla came with limes and cucumber slices on the side. They have two amazing salsas both of which are good. The other plate of tacos include lengua, carne asada, carnitas, chorizo, and cabeza For drinks, we both got the guavayaba agua frescas, quite refreshing and not artificial :) Lastly, we ordered a plate of churros for dessert. Piping hot!! Nicely coated with sugar and filled with a crème (forgot what it was exactly). It got a little bit too sweet near the end for me, but it was a good dessert!

Not a lot of taco spots are open late at 10p but I saw that PNT was open. My family and I pulled into the driveway and were confused because it looked and sounded like a bar. There were a few people standing outside and I asked if this was a bar or restaurant and the gentleman said it's a restaurant. We walk in and got some stares because it was late and we had kids. Didn't matter to us. Everything on the menu sounded delish and they had al day breakfast items. We ended up going with the following: 1. Chicken sandwich- 10/10 my teen loved this. It was a crispy thinly sliced chicken breast with all the fixings, and pressed to perfection. 2. Chicken Caesar salad - 10/10 the lettuce was Romain, tossed in Caesar dressing and parm, with grilled chicken filet. 3. 4 tacos de asada - 10/10 yummy chopped steak, seasoned and grilled to perfection. I'm not sure if the evening chef cooks better or maybe we were starving, but the food was great! Ambience at the time was pretty loud but I figure it's because people hanging out in the bar area. Chips and dip (guac and salsa)- chips are oily and hard to chew. Guac was bland, no garlic or cut tomato. Salsa was a viscous sludge in a small tub, had the same pepper taste as the Al Pastor. Horchata drink- too much cinnamon and saw multiple lidded to go cups of this already made in the fridge behind the register, no expiration dates on them.
