Been meaning to stop by and try there super burrito and birria. It did not disappoint, very flavorful and good portion. So many different dishes to try and good prices. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

    Torta Cubana

When it's cold, I want heavier food. Usually that's meat. I'm not eating big chunks of beef for a while, and the barbecue places I like are popular and run out of the two items I like, so timing counts. When looking for someplace new/close, I saw this. It wasn't that clear to me by the map where they were, and when I drove by a couple of times I didn't see a truck (I'm reluctant to chase after a truck since I've often tried to go to a particular truck, only to find nothing there). Then I tried well before their posted closing time, and saw the truck on the street. It helps that they're close. I usually get tacos, or nachos, sometimes menudo or something else, if I want Mexican food. Burritos are too much, in a couple ways. But I saw the review for Torta Cubana, and thought I'd try that (Trader Joe used to have a wrap that I liked, plus I like Cuban food). If given a choice, I'd prefer something other than a sandwich (American style at least), so I actually haven't had a torta before. But I decided to try that. Like many smaller eateries, credit card is extra. Cash or select cash electronic payment are options. I was surprised--I really liked it (despite what looks like sliced hot dog in the middle--I don't eat those by choice). In fact, I've been there three times since md-month. I can only eat a half at a time, so I get two meals out of it (re-heating makes the grease more noticeable though). They are wrapped in foil, set on top of paper, and in a styrofoam box, and bagged. I have been reusing the first styrofoam box since it doesn't really get dirty with the paper there. I'd prefer a paper-based container, since styrofoam can't even be recycled (neither can most of the plastic takeout containers) and I don't want to contribute to more landfill if I can help it. After I get my fill of these and tire of them (for a while), I'll try something else.

Stopped here. Before getting on the freeway an.. an to my surprise was shocked at the high amount of positivity coming from such a small place.. they didn't have wat we wanted but the owner made sure we tried their food despite the inconvenience.

Cuban Torta was so good I had a hard time putting it down. Then the chicken super burrito delivered with equally delicious flavors. And the guy there was super nice. Will be back for sure. Gotta try the Birria.

We randomly decided to try this taco truck after passing by it so many times. I am so happy we did! We have been looking for better Mexican food since moving to CV almost six years ago because nothing compares to Oakland and SF's food scene (there's a lot of downplay of flavor when you move to the suburbs). We got the ceviche tostada, chicken gordita, street tacos and a burrito for the kiddos. Everything was delicious and they even serve their own pickled veggies as a side. I definitely recommend over any standard CV Mexican restaurant. Bonus is they are adjacent to a liquor store, so you can grab drinks!

We got to El Taquero Poblano pretty early--so early that we were actually watching them set up…read morebefore opening! Once they opened, we were first in line and ready to try everything. We ordered the carne asada burrito, birria tacos, carne asada tacos, and a vampiro taco. Hands down, the best thing we had was the birria taco. The meat was incredibly juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The handmade tortillas really made a difference and took the tacos to the next level. The carne asada tacos were also delicious. They were loaded with meat, super flavorful, and the tortillas were soft and perfectly cooked. The burrito was HUGE and definitely something you could split between two meals. It was loaded with carne asada--the meat-to-everything-else ratio was easily around 70/30, so if you're looking for a burrito packed with meat, this is it. The vampiro taco was alright, not my favorite out of everything we had. The drinks were just okay. The horchata was decent, but I've definitely had better, and the jugo de piña was a little too sweet for my taste. Service was quick, although we were the first customers of the day, so that probably helped. Overall, the food was the highlight, especially the birria tacos. We'd definitely come back to try more!

English and Spanish review…read more Alerta por danos a la salud.!!! . . . . Health alert Me and my girlfriend ordered tacos, chimichanga, and a quesadilla. When I finished half my quesadilla the other half had a hair clearly not mine, while my girlfriend was working on her chimichanga I slipped the hair away so she wouldn't be disgusted. But when she opened the order of tacos we discovered a red hair like the red hair on the lady that took and prepared our order. With all due respect we closed both orders and processed to ask for a refund. When I asked the lady with the red hair for a refund because there was a hair in both orders, she took both orders and than claimed there wasn't any hair on the food until I showed her pictures she proceeded to refund me for both orders. But she still claimed that she didn't find any red hair to imply that I was lying. We have proof in the pictures and my intentions are not to trash an honest business. But if she is willing to go into denial while refunding me my money it seems like she did this on purpose for us to not come back. An hour later I got the runns like if a had ingested a hair. The food is very good but the intentions and service from this establishment make me feel like the maybe im not welcome. Personally I won't be back because there far more taco spots 10× better with service, elaboration process, and care for the health of the client. Im not making any of this up to tarnish a business im only being honest.
