Not too many BBQ places in the Hood. Stopped by this food truck early afternoon. The service was super friendly! However, the meat is twice cooked. Basically, it is cooked early in the day and then they reheat/recook it for you. This unfortunately dries out the meat. The bbq sauce was meh. I actually liked the coleslaw, it wasn't too sweet and over-sauced. The beans reminded me of frank and beans - the flavor, but they do put pulled pork in the beans instead. A bit overpriced for the quality of food.

I was walking by then I saw the BBQ trailer. Chris, Charlotte, and Chris were all very friendly. I enjoyed the briquette sandwich that Chris recommended; his current favorite. It was tender and delicious. They shared with me the story of how they started their business with the pandemic; I was moved. They even gave me local tips to enjoy the area. Very friendly people, highly recommended. Thank you, please keep well guys!

We didn't order much since we were expecting it to be just okay, but everything exceeded expectations. The flavors were on point and definitely left an impression. It's worth every dollar....EVERY.DAMN.TIME!! Today we got the beef cheeks (deliciously tender and fatty), 2 types of smoked sausages, pork burnt ends, the BEEF RIB (to die for), and for sides we got Mac n cheese, and the brisket birria baked beans. About $120 all in. Nice being able to grab a few beers while we waited in line at Ruse Brewing. The food, grasslands bbq community, and the good vibes are really something special and worth the wait. We are blessed in the NW. 10/10 I'd recommend them to anyone visiting Oregon.

I know there are a ton of great farms and orchards in Oregon, so I started my explorations here. I'd read that they have a mean marionberry shake. When I got there, I saw that, for a dollar more, they also had huckleberry. I'm not sure if I've ever tried huckleberry, so I wasn't sure if I would even like it as much as marionberry, which is my favorite. So I picked marionberry, and it was bomb. Although it was on the expensive side for $8.99, it was pretty good. I also purchased a marionberry peach turnover for $5, and thought that was just okay. I loved their selection of high end jams and syrups. They have so many artisan products that would make great mother's day gifts. The girl who helped me was really friendly and made my milkshake right away. She gave me a free map of the Fruit Loop, which is Oregon's chain of fruit orchards with gift shops. Can't wait to explore more of those.

Their prices are pretty crazy - over $50 for a jar of pie filling! But some of the other things aren't bad, like warm/fresh apple turnovers for $8. Again, I wish they'd do more here like make apple butter outside, do events, etc. I'm sure I'll be back, but it always leaves me wanting for more.

The food was SO good and filling, and honestly really affordable for how much food you're getting!! Not a big deal at all, but a simple sign to indicate that would be helpful. That being said, our server was very attentive and friendly the entire time. We ordered a variety of burgers, including a the Impossible Burger as I'm a vegetarian. It was great to see a vegetarian option on the menu as you never know in smaller towns. The food was well received, with the brisket and smoked mac n cheese being the major highlights. My family could not stop raving about how tender and flavorful the brisket was. My Impossible Burger was really good and although I try to avoid the processed meat alternatives, it was a good cheat meal. They have a few TVs inside, included a big screen TV that was playing the Sunday Night Football game. This would be a great spot to watch a sports game while grabbing a bite to eat or a beer/cider. The price point was reasonable as well. Definitely a spot to checkout if you are in the area.

They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!
