My friends and I stopped by Lilo's during our Oregon road trip and enjoyed the gigantic portions of food the restaurant had to offer. We arrived just before they were going to close, so we got the food as takeout and ate it outside on their picnic tables. I particularly liked the macaroni salad, but there was also plenty of meat and rice in the meal as well. I wish the sauce was a bit stronger, however, I know I tend to enjoy food with stronger sauces, so don't let my judgment prevent you from giving this place a try.

Once in a while my wife and our kids will take a drive from Happy Valley, OR to eat this amazing food! i've tried multiple Hawaiian places but this place has a special spot in our hearts. Very delicious food not salty and not bland just perfect!

It's like the best mix of American style bbq with Hawaiian style sides! The bbq is not overly saucy and perfectly done. Get the steamed broccoli!! The perfect balance

A snowy winter day in da Hood had us craving a sunny lunch. Let's go to Lilo's. Universal expectations for any style BBQ joint is the meat needs to be moist & tender and memorable sauce. Kaumaha sad to say pulled pork was way dried out dude. 2oz of BBQ sauce is not going to soften it up. At least the employee was nice enough to give us an additional 2oz though he said he was supposed to charge for it. With dry bread to sandwich it made it to dry to eat and had to open it up and fork it. Rice was soggy :( Mac salad creamy but no flavor. Coleslaw had a crunchy snap but tasted just like the mac salad. Flank Steak was better but a bit dry also. Reggae music in the background might not be exactly a Hawaiian vibe. C'mon give me some Honolulu ukulele not Caribbean. Mahalo & hui hou.

If your going in warmer weather they have outdoor seating next to the smoker that they use to make this delicious food. Great portions for the price would recommend for anyone needing a pick me up.

Stopped here for dinner on a day trip to see Herman the Sturgeon at the Bonneville Fish Hatchery. It was an extra 21 miles to get to Hood River from the hatchery and worth every mile. Each of the four of us had something different covering the meats from pork to chicken to beef and they were all excellent. The sides were great, the portions were large, the service was fast and friendly, the experience was ideal. Try the POG - pineapple, orange, guava - drink, too!

Friendly service, good food, big portions for a good price. The Mac salad was well maid and the pulled pork was juicy and flavorful. They also have great selection of tasty sauce options. Indoor seating available. Plenty of parking in the lot.

Having been to Hawaii several times, maybe I just have too high a standard. Food - well it was edible. The pork was dry and tasteless, how does one mess up rice? I also ordered extra pineapple, which they did NOT include in my order. Service - fair, basically indifferent. I don't think he wanted to be there, but he wasn't rude or anything. Prices - average, but not a good value based on the quality of food. Parking - plenty of parking.

Best lunch/dinner in HR. You don't need all that fancy overpriced food in Downtown you need this place right here.

I know there are a ton of great farms and orchards in Oregon, so I started my explorations here. I'd read that they have a mean marionberry shake. When I got there, I saw that, for a dollar more, they also had huckleberry. I'm not sure if I've ever tried huckleberry, so I wasn't sure if I would even like it as much as marionberry, which is my favorite. So I picked marionberry, and it was bomb. Although it was on the expensive side for $8.99, it was pretty good. I also purchased a marionberry peach turnover for $5, and thought that was just okay. I loved their selection of high end jams and syrups. They have so many artisan products that would make great mother's day gifts. The girl who helped me was really friendly and made my milkshake right away. She gave me a free map of the Fruit Loop, which is Oregon's chain of fruit orchards with gift shops. Can't wait to explore more of those.

Their prices are pretty crazy - over $50 for a jar of pie filling! But some of the other things aren't bad, like warm/fresh apple turnovers for $8. Again, I wish they'd do more here like make apple butter outside, do events, etc. I'm sure I'll be back, but it always leaves me wanting for more.

The food was well received, with the brisket and smoked mac n cheese being the major highlights. My family could not stop raving about how tender and flavorful the brisket was. My Impossible Burger was really good and although I try to avoid the processed meat alternatives, it was a good cheat meal. They have a few TVs inside, included a big screen TV that was playing the Sunday Night Football game. This would be a great spot to watch a sports game while grabbing a bite to eat or a beer/cider. They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!
