All the food is absolutely amazing I absolutely love the different daily specials they offer and their barbecue food is barbecued under the smoked barbecue not the sauce which is so important I absolutely love this place read more

Good stuff and pretty reasonably priced. Good BBQ! If you catch them open be sure to get your grub on!

Excellent food from this food truck downtown. Tender moist meat and excellent BBQ sauce! All the sides we tried were tasty: coleslaw, calico beans, green beans with bacon/ onions, cornbread. The staff (owners?) were so friendly. Love eating local! read more

This little gem in the Dalles really hits the spot when you want to avoid the surrounding area common fare and fast food. Being a native Texan who grew up having a smoker on routinely with brisket , pork or some form of smoke meat being slow cooked on Texas pecan or mesquite wood each week, I tend to be a bit more critical on my ratings as you simply don't find many good BBQ places in the PACNW but this place does a great job with nice flavor and I liked the jalapeño potato salad and their beans too. I jumped on the spicy BBQ sauce and glad I did. If your coming down I-84 and looking for a place to stop for a quick bite or just to hang out at their food cart and outdoor tables then this place is recommended. read more

Um, yum! Wish I had found you guys sooner. I got the all meat pulled pork and brisket, with jalapeño potato salad and calico baked beans. They make everything themselves, and it really shines through in the amazing taste of this good food. The jalapeño potato salad is amazing and I would highly recommend! The Calico baked beans taste like smoked goodness and the owner makes them himself. The bbq sauces all have different tastes leaving you with a myriad of great tasting bbq food. I will definitely be back! read more

I'm on a very limited diet and have problems finding a place to eat at The Dalles. The smoke wring is a fantastic option! I ordered the Asian chicken salad. They were short on chicken so replaced it with pulled pork which was absolutely fantastic! I was so happy with the fresh, tasty and substantial portion of meat. If you are gluten free, sugar free, anything free this is the place to go for tasty food. They have a nice side order option too with any side dish you crave. The owner sent me a message indicating that they will happily help guide me to gluten free alternatives. They have created an outdoor food cart oasis with shade, and good vibes. read more

My cousin and I are hard core foodies (#knighttechfoodies). When we read in an on line article that this place was one of the top 10 food trucks in Oregon, we just had to go. Trust me when I say the 125 mile trip north just to eat here was worth every mile! Not only is the food out of this world, but so is the staff! You rock! We will make it a point to come up here to eat at least once a month (weather permitting when winter comes) read more

On the way to Portland I saw this little place off the highway and gave it a shot. I got the pulled chicken sandwich with the bacon Mac for a side and my father the ribs. Everything was amazing. Great quality chicken and pork. The Mac was light and flavorful. It feels good knowing I ate was real food that will stick with me for hours after. read more

Zero complaints! Had the pulled chicken and bowtie pasta. Both were excellent. Great outdoor seating area, music playing. Very friendly owners. Highly recommend! read more

So yummy! Family visiting from OOT so we all went to Smoke Wring and tried many of the delicious dishes on the menu. Cowboy Parfait was excellent, meat tender and flavors bursting in your mouth. The cowboy chef salad was refreshing and very filling-enough for two person easily. Ribs were fall off the bone tender with great smoke flavor dipped in the spicy honey BBQ sauce became lip smackin' good, definitely well worth the drive from Hood River and will be returning again and again. Prices are very reasonable and won't break the bank for those on fixed income or large family. The outside seating was very nice and clean with large trash and recycle containers centrally located. Also can play cornhole and horseshoes while you wait. Overall a delightful outing that was enjoyed by all. read more

We stumbled upon Smoke Wring BBQ just wandering around the Dalles. How lucky we were! Terrific meat and sides, terrific owners, and a lovely outdoor living room place to eat with warming wood fires aglow. Not important... but worth mentioned as it bespeaks of their attention to the smallest detail...also the residence of cleanest port-a- potty on the planet. read more

This food truck has changed owners and is not the same. The price is higher and the quality is a little less. Was a great place before, now its just OK. Hopefully they improve with time. read more

Excellent food and atmosphere! They have plans to add a cart or two and add music. Cornhole too! Perfect place to hang out for a bit.

4 of us each ordered sandwiches. 1 pulled pork, 3 chicken sandwiches. All 4 sandwiches were bone dry, no sauce at all of any kind, about 1/8 c of coleslaw per sandwich. I could not eat more than a few bites because it was too dry to swallow. Another in our party said the same. Service was very friendly, but unfortunately because of the food we will not be a repeat customer. read more

I had the BBQ beef brisket with cole slaw and beans. The beef brisket and the beans were good. The brisket was tender and had the perfect amount of fattiness. The cole slaw was especially good because it was fresh and crisp and had the right amount of sweetness. read more

Best pulled pork sandwich since I've lived in Kansas City very friendly owners as well

Its almost too good to be true. This is the best barbecue I've had in the gorge. I'm a brisket man and this great place delivers one of the best smoked brisket sandwiches I've ever had, with friendly smiles and kind manner a la carte. They give a generous quality of perfectly smoked meat, add onions on request, and the beans are the best I've ever had. Go try this place, especially the brisket, while you have the opportunity. I think they're gone for a winter break after October. Its worth going for the beans alone. read more

This lovely couple know how to BBQ!! Ribs on Saturday are killer. The brisket is always moist and tender. The pulled pork and chicken finish off the meat options and are both top shelf. Their sides are great compliments to the entrees. You have to try them out. I have tried them 4 times now and will be a regular until they shut down this fall. read more

I love a great story and you need to stop by and listen to how they got into the business. read more

Can I add some more stars? This was the best BBQ ever! I told them they only thing that would make it better would be sweet tea! Brisket was so moist. They don't sell the potato salad in gallons but they should! We will definitely try to find them next time we are in the area! Maybe someday they will love to Montana and we can enjoy them from home! read more

This BBQ truck is simply my favorite. Always, always consistent and large portions. For the first time in my life I feel like I should be paying more than asked for as pricing goes. Steve and Teresa are great cooks. I look forward to be a frequent foodie here this summer read more

Came down late this afternoon and placed a large order to feed some hungry veterans that were working very hard this afternoon. The couple at Smoke Wring BBQ hooked them up with some very tasty food. Loved the brisket, the sauce has a perfect spice. Price is real reasonable for the amount of food you can get. I will defiantly be making another pit stop here again read more

Very easy access off I-84 and a great easy stop for a delicious lunch. I had the brisket sandwich with 2 sides, beans and bow tie pasta salad. The brisket had deep smoky flavor and was moist and tender. Next time I would skip the ciabatta roll and just stick with the meat and sides. I chose the milder bbq sauce. It was tangy but good chili flavor. My daughter had the pulled pork sandwich and it was also delicious..smoky and flavorful. Again would have skipped the bread...plenty of meat. Huge servings for a lunch portion...we could have split one. I didn't try it but while standing in line a gentleman next to me ordered a pound of the jalapeño potato salad. He raved about it and said he stops by frequently just for the potato salad. read more

I want to know two things. Why did I wait so long to visit this little gem? And two, Why wasn't I standing in a long line to order the scrumptious food? Seriously the best bbq I have had in a long time and defiantly a wonderful addition to the sometimes non existent food scene in The Dalles. From the warm greeting by the sweet owners to the fall apart beef brisket sandwich this place is amazing! Jalapeño potato salad and calico beans were both bursting with flavor. Can't say enough about Lock Stock BBQ read more
