All the food was under 30 bucks!!!

they changed most of their recipes/ ingredients to their food. food now is ruined. high priced too. the orient cafe is now the place to go!

We visited The Dalls for a concert (The Derina Harvey Band) and found the Canton Wok for lunch. We enjoyed our meal, especially the Hot and Sour Soup and the Mongolian Beef. The Mongolian Beef had a great sear on the meat and onions indicating a nice hot wok. The lemon chicken was good with a solid lemon flavor and not too sweet. The chicken was lightly breaded. The soup had the right balance of hot and sour, often I find that hot and sour soup leans one way or another. This will be a regular stop for us when heading to Portland (from Boise)

My favorite. Excellent service by the big guy in the bar, who was hustling and taking care of everybody! The bar is the best.

I used to travel for work for 4 years. Countless restaurants with no real flavor and taste. It all seems to be processed and just junky overall. I love Chinese food, it's nostalgic to me. Growing up I ate a lot of it with friends and those memories tend to remain floating in my head. Memories that make you smile! So when I find a local place that can bring that back, it deserves some stars. The food is wonderful and always tastes exactly how I want it to! It's made very fast, im always there 15 mins or less, but that's not always a good thing. The last time I was in there ( which was my first time I ever entered to be fair, ) it was dead empty bedsides one man. The woman who took my order was incredibly sweet and you could just tell from the exhaustion in her voice how tirelessly she probably works around a schedule making sure her business stays afloat. That's a sad reality. Her food is amazing and this place deserves more recognition for the flavor! And don't let me mention the bar and slot machines they have!!

This is the best Chinese in town. Made with love from the chefs. They hand make everything and are so fast and friendly. The staff pays extra attention to our needs. My favorite spicy dish is the 3 Dancing Star, but be ready for everyone to ask you what your having. As well as the Singapore Noodle but its curry is not really spicy and you better be ready to eat it again because you are going to take some home unless you take someone to help you eat it. I recommend canton to everyone and have been a loyal customer for 11 years. They have set my standard for Chinese food

Kelly and her crew are amazing!! Our family drives 2 hours to come enjoy the amazing food and service. The quality and quantity of food is beyond the best Chinese we've had anywhere else. We came for mother's day weekend and expected it to be busy and wait times crazy but she got us right in and our food way ready before we knew it. We had the pleasure of working with Brittani tonight and we just loved her. She's so sweet and attentive to our needs. We had a large party of 8. With all the orders nothing was messed up or delayed. Canton Wok is by far our favorite place to eat in The Dalles. The remodel/addition is BEAUTIFUL.

Great amazing lemon drops. Must try the dragon bowl with your friend ends !

The last time I ate here I got food poisoning. Hopefully since then it's changed. I forget what I ordered but it didn't sit well.

The vegan and GF choices here were actually exciting. My friends ordered the vegan Khao Soi and the Kati noodle soups, and both were full, thoughtful dishes, not afterthoughts. It made dinner so much easier and way more enjoyable for our whole group. This isn't a traditional ramen shop, but my husband's black garlic chintan was every bit as satisfying as some of our favorite ramen spots back in the Bay. Rich, comforting, and absolutely worth ordering at $19 for a hearty bowl. (The others were slightly pricier at $24 a pop) That said, the star of the night was my spicy shrimp ramen. Easily. The broth reminded me of a laksa base with a deep, layered flavor heavy with aromatics and umami. The shrimp on top were excellent in their own right, perfectly seared, well-seasoned, and not just a garnish pretending to matter. I also want to give the ramen eggs a shout out. I can't believe how many places get this wrong. These beauties were perfectly marinated and served warm. It's one of my biggest pet peeves to have an ice cold ramen egg dropped into my hot soup and I appreciate the consideration given to addressing this common faux pas. Fast service, a beautiful outdoor patio with a great view, and food that genuinely impressed all of us. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

I'm usually not a huge fan of ramen only bc I'm not used to it but I can't stop thinking about this ramen dish. It was the perfect meal. I wish I lived closer so we could go more. The kids had fried tofu. My older son ordered buttered noodles and didn't like it but I think that's bc he doesn't really like butter at all (and idk why he ordered it haha). I think he was hoping for something soupy. The little guy ordered chicken off the kids menu and it had a little teriyaki sauce - the kids both ended up eating that and loving it. My husband ordered a pork ramen dish and was so happy w his choice. I asked them to make mine "medium" Spicy which - big mistake- it was too spicy for my weak self! I ended up asking them for like some sort of coconut broth to bring down the level of spice and they did without batting an eye and ensured that that broth was vegan as well despite my forgetting to ask them to make it vegan. The ambiance was very family-friendly and medium-loud chatty noise which is good for kids. After we finished they had tshirts and practice chopsticks and other items to purchase by the register and my husband, who loves collecting tshirts to remind him of places/events/etc as a souvenir purchased a Mugen tshirt! The kids purchased two practice chopsticks. One of the folks in the restaurant graciously asked us if we were visiting and then proceeded to give us ideas of where to visit in the city. It was a very warm and hospitable feeling. We know PNWers don't like to talk to people but the restaurant folks were so friendly that we felt welcome. Thanks for a great experience!!

The place is extremely unassuming inside. Very clean but hard to define just based on the decor. We were the only people eating there which gave us pause but we were too interested in eating to care. A friendly local arrived soon after us. He loves the place and eats there several times a week. He also lives next door so there's that. Server is a delightful immigrant from Vietnam who shared her whole life story with us. Efficient and responsive. I ordered a BLT with extra crispy tots. This classic was excellent, just the right amounts of bacon, thick tomato, fresh lettuce and standard wheat bread. A correct amount of mayo too. Nothin' fancy, just good. The tots were the crispiest I have ever experienced. I always prefer extra crispy. These were crunchy at least halfway in! What others ordered: Denver omelet with crispy hash browns, small stack of fluffy (looked like soufflé ones!) pancakes and a bowl of won ton soup. The star of the entire meal was this soup! When it arrived, the oohing and ahhhing began. Huge bowl, absolutely crammed with gigantic wontons. Why so big?? Each one held a whole shrimp with pork wrapped around it! The soup was full of fresh veg and the broth was complex. I was hit with entree envy. My cousin ate steadily from that bowl for at least 15 minutes. It was still 2/3 full! In fact, she and her husband ate the rest for dinner that night!! All in all, we were delighted with our discovery. The other thing I was not the cutest fan of is putting it on top of a big piece of lettuce. I mean by the time you get down there that lettuce is just wilted and horrible so might as well just keep it out. Overall, all the flavor was very good. I wish the egg were mixed in more rather than thrown on top.
