We had a great time at the Australian Bee Gees concert. We needed a new venue in Lake County, and this is it!

During our recent trip to Mount Dora for the annual art festival, we stopped by Allyson A's Bake…read moreShop again for an afternoon coffee and dessert. It's such a cute spot, with an impressive selection of baked goods at very reasonable prices. This time, I ordered the chocolate strawberry latte, and we shared a red velvet scone along with one of their unique "Nobody Asked For This" chocolate chip cookies made with roasted garlic. The latte was delicious and piping hot--perfect for a chilly day. My first bite of the garlic chocolate chip cookie had me thinking, "No," but it quickly grew on me, and I ended up really enjoying the unexpected combination of flavors. The red velvet scone was huge (perfect for sharing) and absolutely amazing, loaded with chocolate chips. Between the drinks and treats I've tried over multiple visits, Allyson A's Bake Shop has yet to disappoint. It's a must-stop whenever I'm in Mount Dora.

When I asked for jam and clotted cream, I was told they were not available. They offered to heat it in the microwave for me, and at first, I said I'll eat it as is. I was soon back to ask them to heat it, which did help with the texture and taste. My friend had a chocolate raspberry bar, and another tried a cupcake. We were all disappointed in our choices. I had promised my husband something from the bakery when I got home, but decided to pass and went home empty-handed.

She ordered the smoked salmon and bagel, and I had the fiesta rancheros. Both dishes were out of this world delicious. The home fries deserve a special shout-out: hands down the best I've ever had. Our waitress, Jessica, was phenomenal--super attentive, friendly, and efficient. She was wonderful with us and I noticed her engaging warmly with the other tables too. The whole atmosphere felt friendly and genuinely jovial. We finished with the peach cobbler served warm in a skillet with vanilla ice cream, and it was exceptional. Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced, and more of a crumbled consistency rather than a traditional crust--which made it even better. Absolutely perfect brunch experience. We'll definitely be back!

They have both heaters and fans outside so it's comfortable with any weather. The staff was overall friendly. We went two different mornings as we were traveling and had a night and day experience with our waitresses. Jessica M is AMAZING and a ball of sunshine. She is very kind and attentive. The other waitress did not seem like she even wanted to be there with very little communication... however, don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch. Their homemade onion and peach pepper sauce is SOO GOOD, and not spicy at all! Definitely bought some for home. Goes great with the breakfast potatoes. Highly recommend this quaint restaurant!

There is something satisfying about starting the morning in a place that feels local and intentional rather than corporate, and this shop fit that mood perfectly. The barista was still finishing the morning setup when I arrived, but once everything was in place she made a fantastic cortado for me. Strong, balanced, and served with care, it was exactly the kind of drink that settles you into the day. I ended up spending about two hours here, enjoying the coffee and their reliable wifi while easing into my morning before heading out to explore downtown Eustis. The shop itself is clean and comfortable, with enough warmth in the atmosphere to make it easy to linger. I did not understand the decision to keep the front door propped open, especially with the cold air and the steady hum of road noise drifting in, but every shop has its quirks. To each their own. Even with that oddity, it was a pleasant and productive stop, and a good way to begin the day in Eustis. [Review 1621 of 2025 - 2198 in Florida - 25169 overall]

I measure the characteristics by the quality of the bean, the intensity of the flavor, aroma, acidity, taste and definitely by the passion of the barista who's crafting my beverage - it will be immediately clear to you after your first sip that "It's In The DNA Coffee" covers all the bases no matter what you're craving when it comes to anything coffee. This mobile coffee café is just getting started but they are definitely making an impact in this community already. The owners are genuine coffee lovers so you'll get from them what they have spent countless hours perfecting and believe me you won't find any tougher critics than these owners when comes to the products they serve their expectation is to exceed yours. I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted as I walked up to place my order but as I scanned the menu I started doubting my decision. After a moment or two of discussing my options with the extremely friendly and professional owner I decided on the cold brew no surprise to me, but of course I had to kinda customize it a little which I do with most anything I consume and it wasn't a problem - I chose a cold brew, light and sweet with a little foam and a drizzle of caramel over ice. This was an incredible choice if I must say so myself and it definitely packed quite a punch or a better description may be it was awakening. By design this coffee is bold as it should be, this is the fuel that drives me, it was absolutely delicious I should have gotten two. Fortunately for me I frequent this area, so you'll probably find me here whenever I'm anywhere close to this little gem. My plan is to try everything but that may take some time but then again there's no hurry these guys aren't going anywhere...
