Warm and salty and every flavor shined through and paired perfectly with my dry wine. Everything about this place is warm and cozy. Even the ambient music is at the perfect volume; loud enough to break the silence, quiet enough to chitchat. This would be a wonderful place to bring a first date to make them think you're way more cultures than you really are. Great wine, great service, great ambiance, and great food. I guess this place is now called Scooters Barbeque @ Crossroads 44 Music & Sports Bar. The main building is closed; I heard through the grapevine that the owner just shut it down like a week ago and a new owner will be taking it over soon. Around back, there is a decent sized covered bar where we were hanging out. There are two pool tables and several other games out there, plus TV monitors for watching the big game. There is no air conditioning as it's an outside bar, but it is covered and they have several fans to help keep the stank moving. There is also a stage available for live entertainment. Although some of this place is newly renovated it's still a dive bar and there is no indoor restrooms only two porta potties out back which are long due for exchange. Drinks are reasonable, about $5.50 for a well whiskey and ginger ale. The young girl working the bar was sweet as sugar, but I felt bad for her because it was super hot out today even in the shade and with fans going. All-in-all, this is a pretty cool bar to check out if you like biker bars and want to swing by for a cold drink and some fun with your riding buddies.
