The nice woman inside the bar took my order quickly and politely ignored how awkward I am. I was asked if I was opting in to the wine tasting so OF COURSE I said yes, and was treated to a vast array of the best wines I've tasted in a long time, along with complimentary cheese and crackers. I got the antipasto plate which was prepared by a chef with a bedazzled headband the appeared to have wandered in looking for the Doobie Brothers concert, and while the antipasto wasn't anything crazy it was very well priced. The house cabernet was also a perfect dry red and well worth the price. My main was a muffeleta which was perfect. Warm and salty and every flavor shined through and paired perfectly with my dry wine. Everything about this place is warm and cozy. Even the ambient music is at the perfect volume; loud enough to break the silence, quiet enough to chitchat. This would be a wonderful place to bring a first date to make them think you're way more cultures than you really are. Great wine, great service, great ambiance, and great food. This is one of the friendliest most inviting places I've ever had the joy of visiting, highest of recommendations; I know it's out of the way, but well worth the stop.

I had the turkey croissant sando which has edam cheese and a raspberry chipotle sauce and possibly bacon. I ate half my sandwich (I think the bacon was on the other half) and half my fries. You have a choice of chips, fries, salad, fruit cup (some with upcharge). My friend had the curried chicken on a spring mix salad with pecans and avocado, red onion, tomato and cukes. Everything was so good. I had a second cocktail- the blush theory, also refreshing. We sat and chatted and didn't feel rushed out. There was one other table up there with us, a few downstairs and a couple outside. They have two bathrooms that are unisex, well stocked and clean. They have two parking spaces next to their alley entrance but otherwise parking is on the street and typically free. For dinner, they do recommend a reservation. Be bellied up the bar and a very friendly bartender welcomed us, knowing full well we were visitors to the community and nicely asking us where we were from. They have plenty of beers to choose from and I wanted to try something new. She knew her bar that's for sure! she provided a sample to try before ordering, which I ended up doing. My better half observed a slushie machine rotating in the background and inquired. It was a sangria concoction and after sampling it chose to order that. She really liked the slushie and on yet another hot Florida summer it was not only refreshing it tasted great. The prices were reasonable. We spent about a hour at the bar and afterwards meandered over to a nearby restaurant we had our minds set on. After having supper we returned to The Nest for a couple more drinks before the concert. There is no air conditioning as it's an outside bar, but it is covered and they have several fans to help keep the stank moving. There is also a stage available for live entertainment. Although some of this place is newly renovated it's still a dive bar and there is no indoor restrooms only two porta potties out back which are long due for exchange. Drinks are reasonable, about $5.50 for a well whiskey and ginger ale. The young girl working the bar was sweet as sugar, but I felt bad for her because it was super hot out today even in the shade and with fans going. All-in-all, this is a pretty cool bar to check out if you like biker bars and want to swing by for a cold drink and some fun with your riding buddies.
