First visit was in the area for the art festival. We sat outside; there were four of us. We were very pleased with the food, I had the red snapper, and my husband the osso buco. The marinara sauce was perfect. We had a couple Italian beers and met the chef. He was very pleasant and friendly. The prices were reasonable and there wasn't a charge for using a credit card. Will definitely be back.

Ceasar salad

The 10$ Ceasar salad had 2 leafs of romaine at best, more croutons than lettuce and the dressing was a blob on top, not tossed. The photo is after we asked for more romaine.

Best Italian food in the area! Quality food & Amazing service, Gianni himself comes to greet you and make sure everything is perfect. I recommend the Pollo Piccata but every dish is so delicious. The bread with the oil dip is to die for! It's very hard to choose a dessert too because they are all so good.

Food was tasty, I want more of it. Awesome atmosphere and friendly. Had a great experience...

Shrimp with pesto

The most lovely little Italian spot. All plates came out exceptionally quick and our server Shona was very attentive but never overbearing. The owner stopped by our table and was very personable and really nailed in the experience. Skip the overhyped and overcrowded spots and stop by for a real Italian experience. This is the type of restaurant you want to visit.

such a quaint Italian restaurant with excellent service by Shona and personal attendance of the Chef Gianni at our table. Tortelini with fungi was amazing!

The service and food were incredible! It was our first time but not the last. Everyone on our group loved their meals! Incredibly authentic Italian right in the heart of Mount Dora

Food is not the same quality as when it first opened in Eustis. Items mentioned in reviews posted were not on the menu.

Joshua and Kim are awesome. They served up notch service with a smile…read more There isn't a lot of parking available but we were able to find a spot on the side of the building. The restaurant was not too busy when we got there. Our friends were already seated and waiting for us. There had ordered water for the table and had their coffees. Joshua appeared shortly after we exchanged pleasantries with our group. He checked in and we ordered coffee as well. He returned with the coffee and took all our orders. Two of our friends frequent the cafe weekly so he already knew what they wanted. The rest of us were able to order. We received our food in a reasonable time. Joshua and Kim checked in periodically to make sure we didn't need anything and kept the coffee flowing. I had the Pot Roast Omelette with Home Fries and a Biscuit. It was ok. Everyone else enjoyed their food. I would recommend the cafe adding fresh fruits to the menu. By the time we got ready to leave, there was a line of people waiting to be seated. We had to sidled out the door. The cafe is quaint and popular with the locals of Mount Dora. I am open to returning and trying something else on the menu.

During our recent trip to Mount Dora for the annual art festival, we stopped by Allyson A's Bake…read moreShop again for an afternoon coffee and dessert. It's such a cute spot, with an impressive selection of baked goods at very reasonable prices. This time, I ordered the chocolate strawberry latte, and we shared a red velvet scone along with one of their unique "Nobody Asked For This" chocolate chip cookies made with roasted garlic. The latte was delicious and piping hot--perfect for a chilly day. My first bite of the garlic chocolate chip cookie had me thinking, "No," but it quickly grew on me, and I ended up really enjoying the unexpected combination of flavors. The red velvet scone was huge (perfect for sharing) and absolutely amazing, loaded with chocolate chips. Between the drinks and treats I've tried over multiple visits, Allyson A's Bake Shop has yet to disappoint. It's a must-stop whenever I'm in Mount Dora.

When I asked for jam and clotted cream, I was told they were not available. They offered to heat it in the microwave for me, and at first, I said I'll eat it as is. I was soon back to ask them to heat it, which did help with the texture and taste. My friend had a chocolate raspberry bar, and another tried a cupcake. We were all disappointed in our choices. I had promised my husband something from the bakery when I got home, but decided to pass and went home empty-handed.

She ordered the smoked salmon and bagel, and I had the fiesta rancheros. Both dishes were out of this world delicious. The home fries deserve a special shout-out: hands down the best I've ever had. Our waitress, Jessica, was phenomenal--super attentive, friendly, and efficient. She was wonderful with us and I noticed her engaging warmly with the other tables too. The whole atmosphere felt friendly and genuinely jovial. We finished with the peach cobbler served warm in a skillet with vanilla ice cream, and it was exceptional. Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced, and more of a crumbled consistency rather than a traditional crust--which made it even better. Absolutely perfect brunch experience. We'll definitely be back!

They have both heaters and fans outside so it's comfortable with any weather. The staff was overall friendly. We went two different mornings as we were traveling and had a night and day experience with our waitresses. Jessica M is AMAZING and a ball of sunshine. She is very kind and attentive. The other waitress did not seem like she even wanted to be there with very little communication... however, don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch. Their homemade onion and peach pepper sauce is SOO GOOD, and not spicy at all! Definitely bought some for home. Goes great with the breakfast potatoes. Highly recommend this quaint restaurant!
